Everywhere on her hurt. Her feet from how she had walked through the whole floor, her arms from how many people had tried getting ahold of her, her fingers from how many times someone had a request and her brain from trying to keep up with their senseless conversations.

But Alex knew she had to do it. For the sake of her sanity, and her conscience as well.

Now, she stood outside, away from the blaring lights, while she stared at the sky from the balcony. There was something about the moon that night. Something about it that made her want to keep it to herself.

"Et lux in tenebris lucet."
