Bloody Moon pack

Jade's point of view:

I made my way out of the packhouse while making my way toward the forest in order to find our pack beta – my mate.

The moment my eye lay on his perfect figure, my entire world rejoiced. Even when his body looks sweaty, it still screams perfection.

The wet, dirty chocolate hair above his head was made perfectly to suit his brown eyes' color. The tan skin delights his six-pack abs, making him look like a prince that has just escaped from a fairy tale.

My eyes didn't struggle to find my favorite part of his entire body, his lips. Believe it or not, those lips were able to make me forget about my entire existence.

I shake my head while trying to focus on what I was sent for.

"James!" I called his name. He was so focused on the pups he's training that he couldn't notice my presence until I called his name.

One of the things that I adore about him is how passionate he is about his work.

This year has been such a great year for our pack, about thirty pups reached their sixteen, and all of them shifted successfully.

It's a huge number of pups, yet, it's a blessing. Like my father loves to say, the more numbers you have, the strongest you get.

Our Alpha couldn't trust anyone but James with such a huge responsibility, and he's giving all he has to be up to our Alpha expectations.

"My fath... I mean, the Alpha wants you in his office."

I struggle most of the time to adjust to my new rank. I'm not only the daughter of the alpha, I'm also the female beta.

Yes, my father is the Alpha of our pack, and my brother is the future Alpha.

You might be wondering who I am?

Well… My name is Jade, a twenty-two-year-old she-wolf. Daughters of Alpha Luca and Luna Eleonora.

My mother's only child, but not the same for my father.

I know you might be wondering about how that is even possible when it's known that werewolves don't cheat and live their entire lives with their mates?

All I can say is that everything's possible when fate plays its own games.

My father never cheated on my mother, neither his mate before. He was just blessed with a second chance mate, after that his first one was killed.

As I was told, my father loved his first mate strongly, but she was taken from him at an early age.

I was told that she was the same age as me when she died. She was just in her twenty-two, and she died while trying to save Tristan, my half-brother.

People here in our pack claimed that she was a living angel and that I look more like her than my own mother.

I wouldn't deny how much I'm wishing if she was still alive. At least Tristan wouldn't have to grow up without a mother, nor blame himself for her death.

I kind of found it stupid out of him to blame himself for something he never committed. She was killed by rogues, and he has nothing to do with it. What could he do when he merely was two years old?

In one bloody night, the night creatures decided on attacking our pack. Of course, like any other alpha, my father obviously did what any alpha would do. Yet, it was his biggest mistake.

Taking all his fighters out of our territory to keep vampires away, means that the pack-house was left without protection. It was then when some werewolves sent our rival pack – the Red Moon pack took advantage of the situation, and attacked the house-pack.

Their alpha's intentions were to weaken our alpha by killing both his mate and son, which would of course happen if both of them died.

He convinced vampires that their "Moon Stone" was in our pack, and that father is the one who stole it. That's how actually the war between us and the night creatures started.

Of course, no one knew back then that he was the reason for all that our pack has been through. Yet, my father always believed that the Red Moon pack's alpha wasn't someone to trust.

Meanwhile, the pack fighters, alongside with their alpha, were out for a battle. Rogues made it inside our pack.

Yes, even rogues were involved in that bloody night. Five rogues were promised to be part of the Red Moon pack if they killed both my brother and his mother.

What none of them expected was that the previous Luna – Luna July, was not just a pretty face, she was more…

The moment the first rogue wolf trespassed on our pack land, Luna July was able to scent him. She sent her son along with her dearest friend, and female beta – James' mother.

Lady Celeste hopefully succeeded in protecting Tristan by running away with him to the human land. Meanwhile, Luna July stood there fighting in the name of her pack, mate, and son.

She shifted to her brown strong wolf, then attacked the rogues all at once. She was too strong than to ever step out of battle, even if it was a losing battle.

She was able to finish four of them, but ends up as a prey for the last one among them. When my father was on his way back to the pack, he wasn't able to feel the joy of victory or the happiness.

Only few steps away from the packhouse, he felt the bond breaking. Hoping that it wasn't too late, he rushed back in his wolf form.

Feeling that the alpha was getting too close to the battle spot, the last rogue ran for his life.

Sadly, my father couldn't make it at time…

She was already dying when he was making his way back. The pain of death caused her body to shift back to its human form. Before that she was gone, she made her last wish near to her mate's wolf.

She was hardly speaking, yet she refused to go without saying her last words.

"Our son… Tristan… They want him dead… Save him please…" She pleaded her last wish, and she closed her eyes once and for all. She called her mate's name.

"Luca! I love you…" Then she got quiet for eternity.

It was my father's first time to feel the real pain. He still defines the pain he felt that day as the worst pain he ever felt. Quoting his words, he described it as if his soul was ruptured into two. He lost part of his soul, which took all his happiness away.

The fire in his soul grows burning him deep inside into ashes while knowing that the one who killed his mate is a rogue that is still alive.

He then started hunting rogues, one after another. Until he met the rogue that changed his life, his second chance mate, and my mother.

Yes, my mother was a rogue, and he didn't hate her for that. Matter of fact, they both fell instantly for each other.

My father was a good man, and he didn't deserve to live in pain. I believe it's the reason why he was gifted by my mother. Yet, the challenge he had was to make the choice.

A choice between giving the light on to his hatred toward rogues, or opening his heart to love.

Of course, you all know what his decision was since I'm here talking to you.

The truth is that not all rogues are disgusting creatures like most people believe. They can also be wolves who left their pack to search for a better life, like my mother.

My mother was an omega in the Red Moon Pack. I know…! Too much coincidence, yet, sometimes fate creates more coincidence just to make sure that the right people meet each other, eventually.

My father was her second chance mate, too.

Guess who her real mate was?

Well, it's no one but the alpha of the Red Moon pack himself. He hated that my mother was just an omega, and rejected her.

For such a reason, she left her pack and became a lonely wolf, a rogue.

Of course, such a decision was a dangerous decision to make. Still, based on what she told me -  dying with dignity is better than living with none.

Mistakenly, she crossed the White Lilith's pack territory. The White Lilith was the name of our pack back then, but not anymore.

A foolish rogue trespassing the land of the rogue hunters, it exited the hunter instincts of my father. He wanted to punish that rogue himself. He didn't expect even for one second that he would fall, and in the worst way for that rogue.

The fire burning in his soul disappeared instantly the moment their eyes met, and all the sadness in his heart was replaced by instant love.

My father kept repeating until recently that my mother was too good to be real. Not that she helped him raise his one and only son, she also gifted him by me, the sunshine of our pack.

Most importantly, she did have a huge impact on reaching the previous Luna's killer.

Being rogue, even for a few weeks, helped her to learn things that no pack member knows about. Things such as caves and dens where most of the rogues hide.

With her help, the rogue, who killed the previous Luna, was caught alive.

Well, he didn't keep alive for too long. After some thought investigations, he was found guilty and condemned to death.

But before that, the information he could give was a real deal to start the war with our rival pack. As you know, we werewolves, live under packs, and there are rules that keep us all living in peaceful harmony.

Still, the peaceful harmony wasn't always enough to keep greedy wolves from misbehaving. In order to start a war with another pack, you'll need approval from the alpha king.

To get such approval, you need a solid reason.

The rogue caught with the help of my mother provided my father with all the proof needed to get the green light to avenge his dead Luna. The palace sent some soldiers besides our pack fighters, and with their help... We took over our rival pack, and our territory got bigger.

Sadly, the Red Moon Alpha – Alpha Asher, escaped, and no one ever heard about him ever again.

From that day, we weren't the White Lilith pack anymore. Instead, our name was changed to the Bloody Moon pack.

The only pack taking over the Mississippi River, and the entire New Orleans.
