CHAPTER 27

Onyx

The days passed quicker than expected and it was almost winter in this place. I covered myself with heavy clothes and wandered outside for a walk. The smell of the woods calmed me down several times. It was the most beautiful experience I had in awhile.

The woods I used to get scared of are now my friend. I started to learn to fight or defend the pack. Since, i was the Last Alpha of my kind, i oathed to protect this pack because they fostered me here.

My bond with Alaric was good but with his children, I can't say it’s better but we started to tolerate each other.

The most troublesome was Jacob. He was a jealous brat who tried to challenge me many times but ended up getting his ass whooped everytime. I was a fast learner and in a matter of days, I learned martial arts and sword fighting, if I needed to use it in my life.

The twins are better than anyone else but most, they remain occupied with themselves. It wasn’t a matter of concern to me but they sound weird sometimes.
