Chapter 8

Elizabeth narrates.

I had planned days ago how to take my mother and the children from the place because one of the small children had a recital on the outskirts of the town where we lived.

I would pay for a cab and we would continue until we could leave the place, pretending that we went to the recital, my father had not arrived at that time to the house, and it was very difficult to throw him off, we had our bags ready and I had even prepared an incredible explanation to the policemen who worked for him to throw them off any recurring thoughts.

He had it all planned out.

"Kids hurry up the car will soon come to pick us up" I informed him as we finished taking the suitcases out to the porch.

My mother wasn't too sure about the decision I had made, but I didn't care, the only thing I cared about was that my siblings wouldn't have the same thing happ
