Chapter Eleven

She nodded at him and he smiled at her. He headed to his class and took a deep breath before heading into the class. When he got in, he met Cathy’s stare and he looked away. He walked past her without saying a word to her before heading for Bennie’s seat.

“You look like you didn’t sleep well” Bennie said to him as he sat

“I didn’t sleep well, Bennie. I was scared that Carlos would come over to finish what he started. My mom was very pissed yesterday. She is grounding me and my sister for the next three months” Alex said to him.

“How did your sister take that? She hates things like that” Bennie said to him.

“How do you know? I am just finding out that she hates rules like that. I didn’t know until yesterday. She is extremely pissed off but I don’t think it is because we got grounded. I think it is because my mom jumped into conclusion without asking us what happened” Alexander said to him.

“And you are starting to sound like she isn't justified to be angry” Bennie said to him.
