I just ignored him and acted as if it was nothing. This man is indeed thick-skinned.
We passed by smooth as well as rough terrains, steep hills, and even crossed shallow waters. It took us an hour and a half before reaching a wide-open area. We are now standing meters away from the tall, thick, and strong walls of the Ignis Hella castle. From a distance, the castle stood so majestic and perfect on top of a hill from its dark blue-grey stone walls, high towers with small slit-like windows, and battlements, to its other features.
"Let's move forward," the commander knight moved ahead, and the men followed.
"Is this your first time seeing the castle?" Connor whispered to my ear.
His warm breath tickled me and I got uncomfortable but did not complain.
"Yes," I simply answered.
"Hmmm, the king must be very excited to see you," he said carelessly.
His statement made me curious.
"But why?" I inquired tilt
I examined the internal walls around me as I follow the knight. They are made of different sizes and a combination of whitish and yellowish stone walls. I looked up and saw an arched ceiling which is the same as the stone in the walls. There are also lamp lights hanging on it. The lamps are fashionably decorated with a metallic bronze frame and covered with a transparent glass shade. "We are here, young lady." The knight's voice awakened me from wandering my thoughts. We are now in front of a high and huge twofold door. He pushed the door open. "Alright, thank you," I told him before getting in. My jaw dropped when a luxurious dining room met my eyes. The walls of the dining room are bare stones, the same as the stone wall in the corridor. A grand round crystal chandelier was glistening up in the high ceiling, its luminous light is adding to the calming atmosphere of the place. Underneath is a long table filled with delicious-looking foods. Ther
I glared at them manifesting my irritation. They all suppressed their laughter and bowed their heads shyly. I stood up and the brothers did the same. At that moment, an old-aged woman came in from the door where I entered. She's with another woman, younger than her. They bowed after getting near me."Your highness, I am Zoniah, the seneschal of the castle," she started. "This is Kaera, she will be your maid of honor," she added."I'm pleased to meet you, Princess of Ignis Hella."Kaera bowed at me. She is a young woman, probably younger than me. She has long red hair, big round emerald green eyes, and a pretty nose. She has a slender body. She's pretty and has a bubbly personality."You call me a princess?" I looked at her inquisitively."Aren't you Princess Amara?" She was smiling widely as if we were that close to each other."Uh oh, I am Amara, they say so," I got confused and just doesn't know what to say.Zoniah cleared her
We're done with our breakfast and I and Keara are now in the courtyard garden. I heard footsteps and saw Conrad coming. "Are you ready?" He politely inquired. "Yes, I am. Where is your brother?" I wonder why he's not with him. They always stay with each other. "He's outside, in the stable." Conrad twitched his lips and showed a meaningful smile. "What is he doing in the stable?" I furrowed my brows. I don't think he would ask for a horse from the king as he promised. "Since you are ready to leave, then better see it for yourself," he grinned. I nodded in agreement. "That's a good idea," I stood up and walked past him and he and Kaera followed. We went straight to where Connor is. I saw him busy grooming a horse. It's not the same horse we used to ride on our journeys. He was so engrossed that he didn't notice us getting near. "Hey," I greeted to catch his attention. He turned around and s
"Oops!" I exclaimed when my body hit a hard object when we fell into the damp soil of the human world."You alright?" Connor asked assisting me as we're both getting on our feet."I'm good," I said wiping off the dirt on my clothes."Oh, God!" Connor said in a low but panicked tone, he held my shoulders and looked at me seriously."What?" I asked looking confusingly at his long arms extending in my shoulders, then to his worried face."You are pale and your nose is still bleeding," he said while taking off his upper clothes. He wiped my nose using it without hesitation."H-Hey, what are you doing?" I tried to back away but he caught my arms abruptly."Let me finish wiping your blood," he said glaring at me with authority. "Here, it's done."He showed me his clothes and it almost shock me. It was nearly soaked with blood."That's plenty of blood," I said blankly. I'm starting to feel weak, my knees
Greg left my home when he got sure I'm already fine. He said that was Connor's order. He even called him Master Connor. What is Connor's position, anyway? I told Greg to connect with me as soon as Hunter goes back and he assured me. It seems like the time runs slowly as I am waiting for Hunter. I am now done preparing my lunch. I cooked my favorite roasted beef and salad pasta. Here I am now, delightfully facing my hearty meal. "Hmm," I inhaled its delicious scent. My olfactory nerves are pleased with it. Well, I'm always pleased with my cooking. Laughs. I've just left for one day and a half but I'm already missing my human activities like this one. Eating alone. My phone vibrated. I picked it and saw Lucas' name on the screen. He is calling. I drank some water before answering him. "Hey, Lucas," I greeted him while I'm wiping my mouth. "Hello Ms. Brown, I assume that you already have read my text," he was verifying.&
Aqua Edis Castle throne room...King Hydrae is so furious upon hearing the bad news. Only one out of the eight assassins he sent to kill Akira was able to come back alive."You couldn't kill a single woman!? What a shame having idiots in my castle!" He shouted furiously."But Your Highness, she was not alone. She was with Conrad and Connor. Among them are three more Ignis Hella knights," the assassin defended himself. He was lucky to escape from the two men and three Ignis Hella nights in the forest, and now he is pitifully kneeling before the cruel king."That Conrad and Connor again!?" King Hydrae slammed his clenched fist on the armrest. "Hah! These two nephews of Peter have been giving me headaches, they must die! Send our best knights to kill them!" He ordered his right hand, General Thud."Yes, Your Highness," he bent forward and bowed to show his respect to the kin
"That's better than being an asshole like you!" Connor moved forward to attack General Thud who swiftly counter-attacked him. Shortly after, the knights circled Conrad and attacked him simultaneously. The surroundings were filled with the clinching sound of swords and cursing of both sides.Connor and General Thud's swords clashed blade to blade pushing and striking each other. No one wants to be defeated."I wouldn't let you live for long," General Thud spoke in gritting teeth."You can say all that's in your head, but I'll make sure you'll be in vain," Connor smirked. He then pulled his sword away and thrust into Thud's from left to right. The skillful general never failed to block his attacks.Assaults and defenses can be seen below the man standing on a branch of a tree, watching them silently.***It's already getting dark. I'm sitting on my couch and watch
"Thank you for bringing this to me, Lady Amara," Hunter tearfully thanked me after pulling the map from the metallic box. "Uhmm, I'm glad to see you happy," I said while scratching my head. Did I do anything heroic? "This is the beginning," Hunter's radiant mood shows how delighted he is right at this moment. "Once you get the dagger and kill the beast. You'll be able to get the water that can cure me, and I will be able to go back to our world." "Yeah, and you can tell me everything I need to know as you promised," I smiled and reminded him of our agreement. "That's right," he nodded with approval. "Here, bring this map and go back to Ehtrehto Edis." "Wait, don't you think it's reasonable if I have someone with me when I go and fight the beast?" I asked him. "Don't get me wrong, I am not scared," I raised my brows and smirked. "Of course, let Conr
