SARAFINA.
It was quite late when we finished our final work for the day, I was very tired and I was feeling very sleepy. But I still have to meet Jafar. I thought worriedly.
I yawned tiredly as I entered into the room, I sighed in relief as I saw that nobody was there yet, they had probably gone for dinner.
At least I can have a good fifteen minutes rest before they arrive and start throwing their hateful words at me as it was their normal routine.
••
"Hey, witch" I blinked my eyes open to see Rai before me. I sat up.
"Rai? Can you just call me my name" I asked rubbing my eyes to clear any remnant of sleepiness in it.
She scoffed. "You? Your name? Do you even have one?"
"More like she doesn't deserve a name" Zareen huffed from her bed.
I rolled my eyes, hate everywhere. "Why did you disturb
Mila paced around her room thinking of how she was going to find the Sheba, she had only two days left, just two days. She slipped her legs into her flops and made her way out of her chambers, there had to be a way or she is done for. As she stepped out of the chambers, she suddenly collided into one of the maids who was unfortunately holding a large bucket of water.. The whole content poured on her and she gasped out as the cold hit her squarely. "I'm really sorry my queen" the maid said going on her knees. She bowed her in courtesy, while Mila stared at her not minding the cold water dripping from her body. She looked familiar. One of her guards grabbed the maid's hand and pulled her back. "How dare you spill water on our queen" The maid looked at them in fear. "I'm really sorry, I was pushed from my line" "That does
SARAFINA. "Fina is anything the problem?" Pooja asked me as we sat on our bed after lunch. "Huh? Why?" She peeped at me through a side of her eye. "Are you feigning ignorance" I rolled my eyes, maybe the queen gas already given her orders. But yet I don't think it has gotten to the nsud quarters yet or has it? "Terai said you were relieved of your duty, how did that happen." I clicked my tongue. "Seems you haven't been spending time with your roomies, I mean didn't they tell you I charm people" I replied her sarcasm dripping from my tone. "Ah" she muttered. "Let's just say you don't want to talk about it" "That's right" I drawled, stretching myself lazily on the bed. Its impossible, very impossible for anyone to understand the mess I have dragged myself into. So its better I keep it
SARAFINA. "Can you at least give me an hint of explanation of what happened between you and that guard,Akira or what's his name" I asked Pooja as we sat on the bed... She opened the book and lay it on the bed, running her hand through the contents she looked at me. "An hint huh?" She asked. "Exactly" I hushed. She fiddled with the book pages, tapping her feet on the bed post. "Even if the hint is just in two words" I furrowed my brows.... "Well,I'll manage" "Mere familiarity" she said.... "What? When you said two words,I thought you were going to say something that....." "Won't make you crack your brain for answers" she offered. "Of course" I muttered, rolling my eyes. "Complexity" She said. "Complexity?" I repeated dumbly.
Jafar hands shook as he held his wine glass, the content spilling all over him but he didn't care less. His mind traveled to Sarafina... She would never forgive him if she knew of his plans with his father. Who would anyway. Who would forgive him after knowing that everything about her coming to the palace was planned. From Kayla sending her to the market and her meeting the prince.. It was all planned. From his meeting her at the cage to saving her by threatening the king. It was all a planned work. She was going to be used as a tool to dethrone the king. °°° SARAFINA "Jamal" The queen gasped out in shock. I blinked in surprise and in fear. Why did he come looking for me? &n
SARAFINA "Your usual spot?" I asked. He looked at me. "Are you always this curious, Sarafina" I shrugged. "Well.." He held me as we entered the carriage. . . . Few minutes later.... "Where is this?" I asked as we got down from the carriage. It was a very a vast and empty land yet beautiful... The sun cast a shadow on it making it look fanciful. "I come here when I need to think it when I need to sign some documents as the prince of this land." He replied. "Oh I muttered... It's beautiful" I said. He held my hands. "There is still much to see" he told me. "Really...." I said in an enthusiastic voice. "Really" he replied and held my hand as
JAMAL I know it's wrong. No.. It is very wrong... This thing with Sarafina..... This thing that always makes me come back and just like oliver twist, asking for more. But yet I can't seem to stop. Every fucking time, I want to come back to her. I want to hear her voice. I want to see the way her lips pucker up together when she is confused. I want to stare at her and drown myself in the way the wind blows her hair, making it fly in different directions. It's crazy, yes I know... Especially when I'm cursed to no feelings.. But one thing I've noticed is that when it comes to Sarafina, I might have a tiny winy bit of feeling, which is very weird. "You cheated!" Sarafina gasped out as we came out of the pool. I looked at her
SARAFINA I felt someone tapping my back. I blinked as I fluttered my eyelids open, it was Pooja. "You better get your ass up, sleepy head" she said as she stared down at me. I sat up, a smile crept to my lips as I remembered the time I spent with Jamal yesterday. I placed my palms on my cheeks, recalling how he cupped them yesterday. "If you keep smiling like that, I'm going to assume you are running mad" Pooja huffed snapping me out of my train of thoughts. I slapped her hands. "Who is running mad, it's like you are not okay" "Says the girl who wakes up and the first thing she does is to start smiling like a maniac, it is you who is not okay" I scowled at her. "Where are the others?" I asked. "Preparing for the arrival of Jamal's betrothed" she replied with a scoff. &n
SARAFINA "My maiden" Jafar said with a weird smile. I looked down at his hands on my waist, I think he saw where my eyes was, because he quickly removed his hands. I sighed and moved back a bit. "Hi Jafar" I said stiffly. His eyes scanned my face as if scrutinizing it. "Are you surprised to see me or is it unhappiness?" He asked. I took in my lower lip, batting my lashes nervously. "Why would I be unhappy to see you?" I just didn't know how to react since I was seeing him for the first time after our last encounter, him hugging me and saying he was sorry, when I couldn't even pinpoint what he did wrong. He shrugged and held my hands. "We can't tell, you might have written me off in your mind" I laughed — a genuine smile at that. "Written you off? That's silly of you think" I said amidst laughter. &n
