CHAPTER 36

Lever's point of view

I watched my father step on a trashcan next to us and I was surprised when he jumped out the window.

I moved immediately because our opponent was approaching our place.

I do not know what to do. The height of the window for me to reach is too difficult, but my father jumped effortlessly.

When I stepped on the trashcan, I saw Papa offering his hand for catching me when I  jump. I jumped up and in Papa's hand I was looking, I tried to reach Papa's hand with a loud gunshot I heard.

"Ahhh!" I moaned with the exhausting pain I felt in my right thigh.

I fell on a cold cement as I struggled with the pain in my thigh.

"Lever!" my father shouted at me.

I was writhing in pain and I didn't know where I was going to handle the pain.

I heard gunshots being fired by the men at Papa.
