He entered the resort and went directly to the reception area.
The female receptionist immediately saw him coming and she smiled. How she wished this man would at least notice her beauty as his lover and not just as his friend. She sighed. “He is truly gorgeous and oh so captivating,” she murmured.
“So Trixie, what’s up? Why did you send me a message telling me to come here, outright?” the captivating man asked the lady receptionist as he approached the reception desk.
“Hmm, I need to talk to you in private; it is confidential,” she said as she walked-out of the reception area, grabbed his arm and led him outside. They sat at the garden side where none could hear them.
“So what’s the confidential matter? Come-on, you are killing me with my curiosity,” he hissed but smiling actually.
“Lexus, I think I saw her. She is one of the guests.” Trixie lightly replied.
The man called Lexus suddenly furrowed. “Who?”
“The missing golden she-wolf,” she murmured, afraid that somebody may hear what she just said.
“What? Where?” Lexus suddenly became frantic.
Trixie got a paper inside her pocket. “There; here details are written in this paper,” she said as she handed him the piece of paper.
Lexus got the paper and read what was written therein. “Daffodil Marby,” he muttered her name. As if a hand caressed his heart as he mentioned the name.
“Lexus, what are you going to do to determine if she is the missing one?” Trixie asked curiously.
Lexus looked at the woman with a little doubt in his eyes, “How do you know by the way that she is the missing golden she-wolf?”
“Her eyes Lexus; her eyes. No one from here got those golden eyes like hers.” Trixie exclaimed.
Lexus was surprised. “You mean her eyes are golden Trixie?”
“Yes.”
“What if she is just wearing her contact lens?”
“No, I asked her if those are her original eyes and she said yes.” Trixie said with absolute certainty.
Lexus nodded, although he seemed to be not convinced yet. “Let us see Trixie.”
“I am just curious about Lexus; is there any other sign to determine if indeed she is the missing she-wolf aside from her eyes?” Trixie asked again.
“Yes there is Trixie, but it is confidential. Only I, the Alpha, the Luna and the upcoming Alpha knew it.” Lexus replied. He stood-up and excused himself. “I need to go to Trixie.”
“Lexus, one more question.” Trixie stood-up too.
“Yes?”
“Hmm, we have been friends since childhood and until now; both of us haven’t found our mates yet. Can’t you not feel that maybe I am your mate actually?” Trixie said sheepishly.
Lexus made a deep breath. “Trixie, how many times would I need to explain to you that such mate pull could be easily detected? If you are my mate, the moment we turned seventeen, I should have known. Attend some parties and night balls; you might find your mate there.”
Trixie frowned and marched back to the reception area while Lexus just shook his head.
Suddenly, that sweet lilac fragrance filled his nostrils again and once more, Lexus felt that heavenly feeling inside his heart. He smiled; maybe this is his lucky day. He might have found his mate today and at the same time, the woman with those golden eyes might be actually the missing golden she-wolf after all.
II
Lexus looked at the words written in the paper. Trixie wrote therein the name, birth date, address and contact number of the resort’s guest with the name of Daffodil Marby. Those details are required by the resort to its every guest but actually confidential. No one should know that Trixie violated the resort’s company policy by giving him the details of one of the resort’s guests.
Looking at the birth date of the woman written in the paper, Lexus made some calculations and his face suddenly glowed. Her age somewhat matched the age of the missing golden she-wolf. “Would she be the missing golden she-wolf?” he whispered.
Lexus looked at the piece of paper in his hand again. Afterwards, his feet slowly moved, going to the direction of the garden studio unit where he can find the possible missing golden she-wolf.
He knocked on the door of the studio unit several times but no one opened it. Three more knocks and he stopped from knocking. He walked away and decided to return to the reception area.
At that moment, Daffodil is at the resort’s restaurant having an early dinner. She controlled herself from posting anything related to her whereabouts in any of her social media accounts. She does not want anyone to know where she is right now.
Daff feasted on sea food dishes in the restaurant and fresh fruit juice. She was perfectly full after having her meal. To burn down what she has eaten she decided to walk by the shore and at the same time watch the sun as it slowly hides from the world.
Then the warm air suddenly blew caressing her flush face, letting her breath its freshness and ohh, there is that smell again of peppermint menthol scent that truly warms her heart, letting it relax and forget the many intricacies she left behind in her office.
She further walked until she saw a speed boat docked at the far end side of the beach. As she came nearing the speed-boat, that peppermint menthol scent seemed to be becoming stronger, making her senses grow more relaxed.
Lexus, who returned to his speed-boat to get his things as he decided to stay in the resort until tomorrow or until he saw the possible missing golden she-wolf, immediately alighted there from when his nose trills had been filled again by that sweet lilac fragrance.
From the speed-boat, Daffodil’s attention has been caught by a sturdy man who alighted with ease therefrom and is now watching her so intently. His eyes are vividly staring at her while his forehead seems to be furrowing.
Daffodil’s feet suddenly became rooted on the warm white sands; it could not move for another step. She stood there frozen when a soft voice all of a sudden conquered her silence, telling her this word, “MATE.”

IA tall, bulky man with a fierce look came in, disturbing the concentration of Daffodil.“Mr. Dixon?” the tall, bulky man asked while looking at Dixon.“Yes? I am Dixon.”“Please come with me. We will be giving you a few instructions,” the man said and motioned for Dixon to come out and follow him.Daffodil suddenly grabbed Dixon’s arm. “Dixon, don’t go,” she said as her heart suddenly beats fast. Her instinct was telling her that he needs to stop Dixon from getting out of the room.“Hurry up, Mr. Dixon!” the man shouted and looked at Daffodil with squinting eyes.Dixon followed while Daffodil sat on the bed with her heart beating fast.Dixon followed the man until they reach a room. “Please come inside, Mr. Dixon.”Dixon nodded and got inside the room. There were two men waiting inside the room. They were both seated on the three-seater sofa. The three men looked at each other. Then the man who fetched Dixon nodded. Before Dixon could even move the two men were already beside him. T
IDaffodil requested for a coffee from an omega maid that they passed by while going to the lanai area. Just a few moments after being seated on the lanai couch, the omega maid arrived with two cups of coffee for Daffodil and Dixon.“So, how are you feeling Daff that your wedding is just a day away?” Dixon asked to start the conversation. On the side, his ears were well alert while waiting for the go signal that was told to him by Drew.Daffodil smiled, her eyes starting to light up with excitement. “I am getting excited Dixon but a bit nervous too. Maybe this is the so-called wedding jitters.” She looked at Dixon and smiled.“Are you really sure about your decision of getting married to Lexus and stay here for good? How about your business in Los Angeles and your parents, Daff?” Dixon was trying to put a certain doubt in Daffodil’s mind, but the latter smiled and patted his shoulder.“I should not worry about that. Lexus is willing to let me visit Los Angeles anytime I wanted and whe
IBefore Dixon could make a step, a big gray wolf jumped in front of him, to his complete shock. All his blood seemed to forsake him out of fear. His knees weakened and his eyes grew wide while looking at the gray wolf. And then the gray wolf in a flash shifted into his human form which added to the shock in Dixon. “Who… who are you?” stammering, Dixon asked the man in front of him.“I am the new Beta of this pack.” It was Drew who was in front of Dixon.“Beta? Pack? What kind of creatures are you?” still with fear, Dixon asked in a shaking voice.“Didn’t you know? We are werewolves. All of us are werewolves here including Lexus.” The revelation added more shock to Dixon. “Daffodil, she should not marry Lexus,” he then said with worry and fear. He suddenly feared for the safety and life of Daffodil, not knowing fully well that Daffodil is a werewolf too.“Am I right to guess that you wanted Daffodil for yourself?” Drew asked in a confirming tone. He wanted to make sure that his plan
ILexus and Daffodil guided Mr. And Mrs. Marby and Dixon to the dining hall where food has been readied already. Alpha Daedos was also there, waiting for the arrival of their special visitors.Immediately, with a smile on his face, Alpha Daedos stood up when he saw the group of Lexus entering the dining hall. He walked to meet Lexus and Daffodil and their special visitors.“Father, may I introduce to you, Daff’s parents; Mr. and Mrs. Marby, and their family friend, Mr. Dixon.” It was Lexus who introduced their visitors to his Alpha father.“Welcome to our place, Mr. and Mrs. Marby, and Dixon,” Alpha Daedos initiated the first greeting with a broad smile. He extended his hand for a handshake to Mr. Marby first then to Mrs. Marby and then to Dixon.“It is a pleasure meeting you, Mr. Daedos. Your place is absolutely wonderful,” Mr. Marby replied with a wide smile too.“We will surely love this place,” Mrs. Marby stated too with a genuine smile on her face.Dixon simply smiled but never d
IHe cleared his throat first before he spoke with a serious expression. “He is welcome here, Daff, as long as he will not create any trouble that will affect our wedding.”Daffodil smiled at him and got hold of his hand on top of the coffee table. “I can assure you that Dixon is a good man and he will never do something to ruin our wedding. He is a man of good values, Lex. Please don’t worry. Besides, Dad and Mom are here, so I am sure, he will be ashamed to do something to hurt us.” She looked at him with confidence in her aura.“With that assurance of yours, then, he is welcome to come and stay here until our wedding,” Lexus replied, smiling this time. He kissed her hand and looked at her tenderly. They had a long conversation on the balcony before they separated ways. Lexus went to his Alpha Father’s office to inform him of the arrival of Daff’s family. Daffodil on the other hand decided to go to her room to rest for a while. She is smiling and has been feeling so light. In just a
