CHAPTER 15

I was driving quietly while Leigh was just staring out the window of my car. It's almost 11 AM and it's getting closer to 12 noon. We are currently on our way to Quezon City and according to my calculations, we will arrive at exactly 1 PM.

I don't know if I should be the first to break the silence between the two of us but I eventually decided to speak.

"Are you hungry? I can pull over if you are," I responded flatly, my gaze fixed on the road; a few moments later, I felt her move a little from where she was sitting where I was sure that she was looking at me right now.

“Uhmm. J-just a little," she replied hesitantly.

"Okay" I calmly said, "I'll just pull over later when I see a restaurant."

She remained silent.
