It was also possible that the first floor served as their home, it was something very common in her home world.
So while she waited for Paige to come back, she took the opportunity to take a closer look at the magic herbs that were displayed in the window in front of her.
And she noticed that they were all level 5, 6 and 7 which was really extraordinary because if the level of the magic herbs was the same as the potential of the mages, then they must be rare and expensive.
Cassy stopped watching through the store window only when the front door of the store opened again, and she could see that the customers who were leaving seemed very satisfied.
Paige came out shortly after, bringing her a damp cloth and shoes as promised, and Cassy was really delighted to be able to clean her feet a little bit before putting on the shoes Paige had brought back to her, and so she thanked her warmly.
She was also relieved to see that Paige wasn’t mistaken and that they really had to make the same size because these shoes fit her perfectly.
Then, Paige made her sign to follow her and she gave back her bark with her magic herbs that she had held the time she could clean her feet and put on the shoes she had brought, she was also very happy that it fit her well, and she reassured her again saying that she should not worry and that her mother would love and buy them.
Cassy followed her inside the store with a lighter heart, if her mother was as warm and caring as she was, she didn't doubt for a second that she would be well received, and when she entered, she was immediately assailed by all the aromatic smells that were emitted from all these magic herbs, but far from being unpleasant, this smell was soothing and gave an impression of well being.
Paige led her near the central display and she told her to wait here while she told her mother about her, she saw her leave towards a corner of the store where there was a woman who seemed to be just 30 years old and who looked like her like two drops of water, the same long golden curly hair, the same green emerald eyes, the same angelic face.
They could have passed for sisters but something in her attitude told her that it was Paige's mother who was there, she saw them talking together and her mother left to talk to a person who seemed to be one of her employees.
Cassy, who didn’t want to seem indiscreet, looked curiously at what was in the central display, and she widened her eyes in surprise when she realized that all the magic herbs that were inside, protected by a glass that was rather thick, had a whitish aura around them.
She then heard Paige call her name and she immediately came to her senses and turned around to smile at her, Paige was accompanied by her mother who introduced herself and told her to simply call her Carol and she invited her to go upstairs so she could get to know her better.
Carol was very surprised because with one look she could see that all the magic herbs in her bark were of high quality, and it couldn't be just a coincidence.
Once settled at the table of their home upstair, she asked Paige to bring them tea and cakes and she said directly to Cassy : "Paige told me what happened to you. You shouldn’t be worried about entering the Academy, my husband and I are qualified to make you take the test, so we will do it when he will come back, like that tomorrow you'll just have to follow him and you won't have to wait in line.
Now tell me Cassy, did you pick up these herbs by chance or do you have some kind of gift. It's very, very rare, but some mages have been known to be able to see what they describe as a whitish aura around magic herbs."
Cassy looked at her in surprise and then she asked her, "Does that mean you can't see it ? Yet all the magic herbs that are in your central display have a whitish aura around them. If you can’t see it, how do you tell them apart then?"
Carol couldn't believe it, this girl could really see that whitish aura... She looked at Paige who looked as stunned as she did and she took the teapot and cakes from her hands before she dropped them on the floor.
She then showed her hands to Cassy and her daughter and she said to Cassy, "I'll show you."
Paige put her hand in hers excitedly and when she looked back at Cassy, she saw her looking at her daughter intrigued and then she only hesitated for a brief moment before putting her hand in hers as well.
Carol was very happy because they both seemed to get along really well, and she couldn't wait to find out what Cassy's face was going to look like when she would teleport her to her personal dimension, Paige had told her that apparently Cassy had never left her village and that she knew absolutely nothing about mages and worriors.
So before teleporting them she couldn't help but wink at Cassy to reassure her and a few seconds later they were landing in front of the lake of her dimension, she then said to her when she saw her completely destabilized by what had just happened, "This is my pocket dimension Cassy. Not all mages are lucky enough to have one because you have to have at least a potential of level 6 to get one, and if you wanna know, I’m a level 7 mage who has already reached her maximum potential.
Paige told me that you don't know anything about mages, so you can ask me all the questions you want but first let me show you the difference between a normal and a high quality magic herb."
Carol connected her mind to her pocket dimension and a level 1 magic herb of normal quality appeared in her hand, then the same one but in high quality appeared right after. She showed them to Cassy and asked her, "Can you see the whitish aura around the magic herb?"
Cassy pointed out the one which had the whitish aura without even hesitating for a second and she asked her in turn, "Is it only by their appearance that you can judge whether they have a whitish aura or not?"
Carol just nodded and she asked her, "Just out of curiosity, do you have any other gifts?"
Cassy didn't know whether or not she should reveal anything else about her gifts, she didn't want them to think she was a freak like in her home world, after all even here her gifts seemed to be exceptional.
Cassy was still hesitating, and Carol noticed it immediately so she said to her, "Don't be afraid, I won't tell anyone and my husband will keep an eye on you, he's a great warrior, to give you an idea of his power, his level would be the equivalent of a level 9 mage. He's not the only one, but believe me, if you put yourself under his protection you won't risk much."Cassy after hearing that felt immediately reassured, Carol had trusted her by taking her into her pocket dimension and she had even offered to put her under the protection of her husband. And even though she didn’t know why she would need his protection, knowing that a worrier so strong would keep a eye on her was something she hadn’t expected at all, so she finally said to her in turn with a shy smile, "Let me show you."Cassy bent down and she put her hands flat on the ground, she saw the white flame appear in her mind and she focused on it to enrich the soil that was here, but as she
Carol then caressed her cheek and said, also to reassure her, "Paige is right, you are not alone anymore, we will take care of you. Paige will stay here with you while I will get you some new clothes, and I will also call another of my employees to replace me in the store and I will stay with you tonight. Let's get to know each other better if you don't mind, and when my husband will be there we'll explain everything to you."Cassy just nodded and when Carol left the dimension Paige said to her, "You should really bathe in that water, you'll see you'll really feel much better after."Cassy was also curious to see if this was true, so she didn't hesitate any longer and started to undress to go in the lake. She was relieved to see that despite the peasant dress she was wearing and that was starting to compress her breast, she was wearing underwear underneath, well it wasn't a bra but she did have a kind of white nightie that came up to her knee and it was already better
Carol then froze when she realized that Cassy had said The legendary mage and not a legendary mage, but Paige didn't know that The legendary mage existed, so she asked her puzzled, "Do you know anything about The legendary mage… Cassy, very few people know of his existence, it's been a long time since the mark of the pentacle appeared and many people have forgotten about him."Cassy didn’t know what to do but she was really scared right now so she said to her, "I have something to confess to you but first I want to know why your family seems to know about this mark and The legendary mage?"Carol didn't hesitate for a second, after all Cassy was indeed The legendary mage, no one could imitate this mark and she had already proven to her that she possessed extraordinary powers, so she told her, "My family isn’t from Astoria, nor is my husband's for that matter, we are both from a world called Spartia, and both of our families are very old families that
Her husband was going to fall over himself when he heard this, not only would he have to protect The legendary mage until Cassy was able to fight on her own but they would have to find the reincarnation of the golden dragon and probably have to protect him as well.Carol focused again as Cassy described the scenes she had seen in her visions and indeed it was very similar to what had happened the last time the demon god had appeared. And when Cassy asked her if she knew what the power stones were and if she knew about the golden dragon, Carol shook her head negatively and said, "Don't worry, the visions you had are not going to happen right away, even you said that you looked older in your visions.By then you will have become extremely powerful I can guarantee you, and I promise you that we will help you find the golden dragon."Carol pondered, but she could see no other logical explanation for Cassy's soul transmigrating to their world, "The fact that your soul tra
Carol nodded and said to her that here the white flame represented the light, and that the 3 flames she didn’t know were the black one for the darkness, the purple one for the metal and the last one was silver and represented the lightning. She told her that the greater her reserve of energy would be, the more able she would be to master flames other than the one of fire and light, and that if she had to forge a weapon for the golden dragon, then she would absolutely have to master the purple flame.Cassy nodded and was about to ask her more questions when the three of them were interrupted by the arrival of Carol's husband, Glen, and Paige's brother, Adrian, who was accompanied by his best friend Steven.Adrian looked a lot like his mother and sister, but he had his father's build. He had short, curly blond hair, bright green eyes, and a pleasant looking face that made you want to befriend him right away.Glen, who was Carol's husband and the strongest of them all,
And when she saw Steven's look at his wrist she quickly said to him, "I’m sorry, I didn't think that symbol would be so powerful, I hope I didn't hurt you, did I ?"Steven was once again stunned by this girl, she had just been thrown by a mysterious force across the room because of him and she was still worried about whether he was okay, did she have no sense of danger?Fortunately, Cassy apparently was no ordinary mage, he had never seen a mage of her age able to summon a flame let alone an entire shield made of fire, only mages with a lot of experience usually managed such a feat and she seemed to have done it as if it was innate to her.He finally decided to go check if she was injured or not, as Adrian seemed too shocked by what he had just seen to react normally. And so, he approached her and the closer he approached, the more his heartbeat accelerated. Again he had this strange feeling of not being able and not wanting to take his eyes off her and Cassy who was
Carol looked at her son and motioned for him to remain calm and she turned her attention back to Steven who didn't seem to want to let go of Cassy and still had those golden circles around his pupils. She then said to Cassy, "Cassy, I know that it must seem strange to you all that but you should try to reassure Steven and make him understand that you are well so that he will let you go, the dragons are very possessive and protective, you’re going to be very patient with him."Cassy indeed didn't quite understand why Steven was reacting this way, he had looked at her and seen that she was fine, but just like her, this strange bond between them must have amplified his feelings. She ended up putting her hand on his cheek to get his attention and after he put one of his hands on hers, he lowered his head and looked into her eyes with his golden eyes and that's when she had a vision that she hadn’t had before. She saw a battlefield under a heavy rain and as the fighting c
Some of them also had clairvoyance gifts and were called Prophets, these demons were respected by the others and they always had a great influence on the power in place.Five years ago, the demon god was finally reincarnated and his growth, unlike that of humans, was three times faster. He now looked like a teenager of about fifteen years old and within a year he would have reached his adult form and he would finally have access to all his powers. However, even if he didn't have access to all his powers yet because his body was too young to support such power, his mind was fully awake and he had even inherited the memory of his previous lives which was an undeniable asset. Two years ago his Prophets had finally tracked down the golden dragon, his sworn enemy, but they had only been able to locate the world he was currently in because a mysterious force was clouding their powers. With the knowledge of his past lives he had deduced that the birthmark of the dragons must have appeared on
