Brielle POV.

I walked out to the backyard, letting the cool night air hit my face. My feet led me straight to the big tree in the middle of the grass. It was the tree Elion and I planted together. We did it as a memory for my parents.

I reached out and touched the rough bark. Even though it was dark, I could see how tall and strong it had grown.

Brielle POV.Hahaha! The sound filled the car, light and musical, completely contrasting the heavy tension in the air. I covered my mouth with my hand, but I couldn't stop.Elion froze. He blinked, his rant cutting off mid-sentence. He turned his head slowly to look at me, his expression shifting from murderous rage to pure confusion, and then to utter disbelief."You... you are laughing?" he asked, his voice still rough but now laced with shock. "Brielle! This is not funny! I am serious! He disrespected you! He disrespected me!""I know, I know..." I giggled, wiping a tear of amusement from the corner of my eye. "But you... you look so cute when you are jealous like this."

Brielle POVThe sound of my voice seemed to snap him out of his bloodlust slightly. He looked down at me, his expression softening instantly, his hands coming up to hold me tightly against him, as if he was afraid I would vanish if he let go."Alright," he murmured, his voice rough but gentle. "We're leaving. Right now."Elion didn't say another word. He pulled me close, his arm wrapping firmly around my waist, and led me out of the restaurant. Every eye in the room followed us, terrified whispers following in our wake, but Elion didn't care. He walked with his head high, radiating power, daring anyone to stop us.But just before we reached the exit, Kael stepped forward, blocking our path slightly, his face twisted in a mixture of anger, shame, and heartbreak.

Brielle POV.His hand shot out like lightning, wrapping tightly around my wrist. His grip was iron-hard, painful, and merciless."To a little girl..." he sneered, his eyes blazing with dark satisfaction, "...you certainly have guts."He yanked hard, intending to pull me flush against his chest, to intimidate me further, to make me submit. My body lurched forward, off balance, and a gasp escaped my lips."Let go of me!" I snapped, digging my heels into the floor and yanking my arm back with every bit of strength I had. My free hand clawed at his fingers, trying to pry them loose, refusing to let him manhandle me so easily. "You have no right to touch me!"Victor just laughed darkly, his grip tightening painfully until I thought my bones would crack. "Feisty little thing, a

Brielle POV.A deep, smooth voice rose from beside our table, cutting through the air like silk. It was calm, authoritative, and instantly commanded attention. We both turned our heads.Standing there was a tall man dressed in expensive, dark clothing. He had sharp features, eyes that seemed to see right through you, and an aura of power that was undeniable—an Alpha's aura.I didn't know who he was. I had never met him formally. But the moment my eyes landed on his face, a jolt shot through my entire body.My mind flashed back suddenly, vivid and clear. It was him. The man from the road. • The Little Canary of the Alpha   Chapter 80; The Date

Brielle POV.I stepped out into the hallway, the air feeling suddenly cold without Elion’s heat surrounding me. I walked slowly toward the stairs, my hand instinctively rising to press against my neck. The skin there was warm, slightly tender, a vivid reminder of just how possessive my Alpha could be.I grabbed a soft, silk scarf from the console table near the door and wrapped it carefully around my neck, tucking my hair over it to hide the evidence completely. There was no way I was letting Kael see that. When I opened the door, the bell was just ringing. Kael stood there, looking sharp and eager, but his eyes widened slightly as he took me in.I was wearing a dress that fell to just below my knees, with long sleeves and a high neckline. It was simple, elegant, a

Elion POV.I stood by the wall, watching her in the large mirror as she stood before the vanity, brushing her hair. Every movement she made, every soft turn of her head, was like a knife twisting in my gut.She was getting ready. For him.For Kael.My blood was boiling, my vision tinted red with the sheer, unadulterated rage coursing through my veins. My wolf was snarling, pacing violently behind my ribs, screaming at me to end this. Kill him, the beast roared. Slash his throat. Rip his heart out. He touches what is ours, he dies. And I wanted to. Gods, how I wanted to. I could do it. I could
