3. Excited

Annalise POV

I'm sitting on this couch that feels like heaven and hearing her on the phone in the kitchen. I'm not trying to listen, but I do hear words like my name a few times and some mentions of a pack. I smile to myself, thinking about how lucky I am that she found me. Then how warm it is in here and how I don't have to go dig in the trash for my next meal right this second. Then I hear her on the phone talking about pizza, and my mouth starts to water. I hear her ask for one of everything on their menu, every type of pizza, and every dessert and drink. I'm shocked and staring at the wall as she finishes. I was so lost in thought that I didn't even notice that she'd joined me on the couch again.

She sighs and says, " Food maybe a little while it's being worked on, and I was wondering if maybe you'd like to take a shower. Before you feel upset or anything, it's not that you smell or anything, just I was thinking if I was homeless, I'd miss my shower and thought maybe you'd miss it too is all." I smile but then think about how I have no clean cloths and say," I'd really like that, but I don't have anything clean to wear, so a shower may be pointless right now." She smiles and says," we may be about the same size. Maybe I can find some stuff for you to wear for tonight, and then tomorrow we can go shopping for you?" I gasp and mumble " you don't have to take me shopping I don't really have much space in my tent just my back pack and it's only got a few things from home in it."

She looks at me and she says " I was hoping I could talk you into collecting your stuff after dinner and staying here with me for now" I stare at her in shock and am sure I heard wrong when she continues " it's just I feel like we are family and I don't think I can sleep with you in a tent in the woods." I feel my eyes watering as I grab her around the neck and pull her into another hug she giggles and hugs me back.

I nod my head a lot while saying, " Yes, that sounds amazing. I'd love to stay here." She smiles and says "also I know I don't have to. Like I said, I feel like we were supposed to find each other, and I just want to help you in any way that i can. If it's ok with you, I mean. I won't push anything on you, and you won't owe me or my family anything." She tells me I can think about it as she shows me around the place. She tells me it's her family's vacation condo it's one of a few they have in different states we get up stairs and she walks all the way down the hall and points at some doors and says" this is my parents room then across the hall" she points to that door and says" this is my brothers room his name is Brian and he is away at Alpha training right now."

Weirdly enough the name Brian hits me in a weird way and makes me want to ask more but she moves down the hall and says "This one is my room" which is the door by her parents room and then as she opens her bedroom door she says "yours will be the room across the hall from me I'll show you it after we grab you some cloths and stuff for a shower." She opens doors that lead into a huge walk in closet she grabs two bags and in one after she digs around some she finds some cloths as she begins to put stuff in the bags then leaves the closet. Next, she digs into a drawer and pulls out some underwear still in a package, then a sports bra she puts those in the bag. she opens a big door near her bed, and it leads to a massive bathroom.

She grabs a few towels,some soaps, and other random stuff and places them in the second bag. We were leaving the room when she ran back in for a pair of slippers and flip flops since I had no shoes and we didn't wear the same size, and she grabbed a big fluffy robe. We walked across the hall and she opened the doors to the bedroom she called mine which is beautiful. The room was done all in purple, and it's like my dream room. She shows me the bathroom, and it has a huge tub big enough for four people and a shower that's makes me melt it's huge and fancy. I feel like I'm in a dream land, and I don't want to wake up. She may be as happy as me as she places the bags down and says, "I hope you like it. I decorated it. Tomorrow, while we are out shopping, we can grab you shower stuff you like and normally use. Also, any odds and ends you'd like, like perfumes, tooth brushes. toothpaste. razors or just whatever." She was about to continue when her phone rings and she looks at the caller ID and says "oh hold on its the pizza place" then into the phone she says " Hi how is it going?" Then she drops her jaw and says," Oh ok, so 45 mins to an hour, that's all ? ok, that sounds great. we will see you guys, then thank you, "

She hangs up smiling and says, "She called in all her employees and her husband and sons and has every oven running to get our order done. I think I may need to make the tip bigger. All those people deserve good pay for that. " I look at her and say," Letting me stay here is already more than i could have ever thought possible. You don't have to take me shopping or order giant army size meals of pizza." I said the last part giggling and she giggled too then she says " well there's a method to my madness I got one of everything because first I didn't know what you like and then there is also the fact that I believe my dad and mom may show up tonight. My dad because he will worry and my mom because if dad goes so does she. Then also because she was so sad when she heard about this and she may want to meet you as soon as possible."

I think about that and say, "But so much food for four people?" She laughs and says," No, not really. First of all, it's four wolves. I'm sure you realized we can eat a lot but also they won't come alone they will bring at least ten guards. They are an Alpha and Luna, and they never leave without protection with them. While they will be outside, we can still send some out so they get warm food, too. In a pack, we all watch out for each other." I didn't know other werewolfs even existed now I learn there are packs and I'm interested to learn more and I ask her if she can teach me some stuff and she says " There's so much you don't know but I can help you learn some of the basics. That could at least help you through some encounters while you're learning. However, first, I'll let you shower when you're done. Come back down to the living room, and we can talk some before the food or my parents get here."

"Oh, I forgot about the shower." She laughs and says "yea I thought you might have, and I'll see you soon."

She leaves the room, and I walk to the shower, hop in, and I move the knobs till it's perfect. I scrub every inch of my body it's been so long since I got to shower. Washing my hair was a chore, and it took forever, but it felt so light when I was finished. I even got to shave, and that made me feel more comfortable. I hurried and dried myself off, got dressed, and went down to meet her in the living room. She was on the couch on her phone and was smiling ear to ear. I sit next to her while she keeps talking on the phone for a few, and she says, " Oh my gosh, you found your mate? That's absolutely amazing. Im so happy for you." A short pause, and she continues "yea no kidding from your mouth to the moon goddesses ears " followed by giggles and she says " so next time we talk do you think you'll be pregnant?"
