Naomi

I’d slept from nearly as soon as Karl had left the West territory, we were officially in the north. My whole body sank into the seat relaxing as soon as we crossed that border, I didn’t have another thought as my body put me to sleep. Safety really makes a girl sleepy it seems.

Karl touched my shoulder gently, I had been waking up but the contact still made me jump. I sat up slowly and opened my eyes, we were going along a small dirt road. There were big gates ahead of us laying open.

“We haven’t needed to close them since I became beta” Karl said proudly.

I dramatically looked up at the sky and said. “Moon mother I swear if you’ve sent some egomaniac with a savour complex to rescue me imma be pissed!” I wagged my finger to the sky for emphasis.

Karl’s laughter was more of a cackle than a laugh.

“HaHa very funny.” The dry sarcasm dripped from his voice but his smirk and dimples told me he was enjoying the exchange.

“Is this what its like to have friends” I asked him. He regained his cheery exposure quickly and with a shrug he said.

“Dunno, I’ll let you know when I find some.” I was smirking back at him now.

“HaHa to you.” I replied and then the norths pack house came into view and my mouth hung open in shock. Karl’s finger closed my jaw gently and I could hear him laughing again but my eyes were glued to the house, mansion, maybe estate? Is the better word. The stone itself was beautiful as it wrapped around the sides of the mansion. The brick work alone a masterpiece. There was flowers hanging and weaving all along the wooden porch. The wood gleaned in the early sunshine. Like it was proud to be displayed so beautifully. The windows had vines growing up and around them. Just starting to flower in the spring sun.

I mean this pack had money! MONEEEEEYYYYY....

“You guys are rich rich then.” It wasn’t a question and Karl didn’t bother to answer it.

“I’ll shut that fly trap for you there.” My mind was already light-years ahead as a man stepped onto the front steps and my soul skipped a beat.

Karl

I knew my best friend and alpha like the back of my hand. As soon as he stepped out onto the concrete front porch just under the wooden awning I knew he had felt it to. Naomi’s eyes had flashed gold and I caught the mirror flash in Alecs. But he didn’t move from the porch. I had wondered if Naomi would be one of our mates, that maybe if she is from the lost Alphas bloodline she would probably be Alecs mate rather than a lesser pack members. It looked like I was right, but my Alpha did not seem happy about it.

Naomi wasn’t conventionally wolf like, she had curves upon curves in all the right places. But she didn’t look or behave like a wolf. She was small but not short, like she withdrew herself into the smallest possible size so she could disappear. Given where I found her thats no surprise. Her hair was long and black, but not like the she wolves in the packs. It was uneven and straggly. I thought I’d seen some twigs in there somewhere to. She was so pale, you could mistake her for a vamp and no one would be mad that you had. Malnourished definitely. But she had an inner beauty that I had seen in very brief glimpse when she had laughed unexpectedly. It was under layers and layers of pain but it was there. Anyone who can live with what they had done to her year after year was packing some serious resilience.

Naomi didn’t portray strength though and I knew Alec, he had already calculated in his head the risk to having a weak link directly attached to him and all the ways Naomi could be used to blackmail him or hurt both of them.

I knew the exact second he decided to not accept her and my heart broke for her.

What the fuck am I meant to do now?

I’ve just promised Naomi that no one will ever hurt her again and now we’re metres away from the most painful event a wolf can go thro.

Their mate rejecting them.

  • The Lost Alphas Daughter    I've never missed

Karl I’d sent scouts out at 4am this morning to travel to the boarder incognito and see if there were West pack members patrolling. As I got all the pack members who were coming with us situated in their positions for our convoy down, the scouting team called me. “Hello boss.” That was Eric he has always called me boss. Becoming a werewolf late in life made the older ones a stickler for law and order. They were big on ranks and their place in them. To old to challenge and move up, they liked to keep order in our ranks. They often demonstrated this by calling us higher rank wolves boss or Sir. They say it shows respect and is the example they expect to be followed. It made my life easier with the youngsters even though it didn’t feel right that a seasoned federal agent of fifty years was calling me boss. But who was I to complain. And our seasoned federal agents were the best at this type of scouting mission. “Hey Eric, how we doing over there?” I asked him as I rallied the wolve

  • The Lost Alphas Daughter    Meetings vs mate

AlecI was in the meeting room with all the high ranking wolves from each pack, trying to get our strategies in place for the West territory mission.Karl and Julian were about to come to blows if I didn’t deescalate the conversation. Julian felt that by law we should be informing them of the charges we are accusing them of and the actions we plan to take. As this has never happened before we have zero prior events that we can mirror. Karl’s point is why on earth would we bother to forewarn them when we are the whole council going against them. They’re crimes against wolves in their own pack are unspeakable we all agreed to that and we would give away our advantage allowing them to run. Allowing the few who have ruled the West to run, they wouldn’t take the lesser wolves. Or even worse use the lower pack members as hostages. This was the last part we had to iron out and we were all trying to keep tension from escalating. The history books don’t give us hope in regards to worki

Naomi I’d slept a little bit longer after my breakfast feast. The way I just scoff down food in front of Alec and feel a million percent comfortable with my curves and body shape is still utterly insane to me. I could however smell myself when I woke up again and Alec wasn’t with me in bed. I could hear the shower as my mind caught up to being awake. I was feeling bold and Alec had told me last time that I was definitely wanted in his shower, I felt bold enough to remove my clothes at the bed and head straight to the shower. I knew I’d made the right decision before I’d even opened the door. Our mate bond told me Alec was happy with me getting closer to him and when I opened the door to walk in he had wiped a steam free peephole on the shower glass. I couldn’t see much apart from his eyes but I felt his smile and the appreciation of my naked walk to him. Now I was feeling really bold and I swayed my hips more strutting my way as I got closer to the shower. This was a brazen and new

  • The Lost Alphas Daughter    Alpha Alec

Naomi Alec carried me back towards the pack house. He was struggling with seeing me wounded, as soon as he had ordered everyone to do what Alec needed them to do he was picking me up and heading home. Nothing was standing in the way, every pack member along the way was growled at. I was having to apologise for his snarling outbursts. Most of the men laughed quietly and a few even said, “sorry wrong time” with a knowing smile on their faces. I was starting to understand that the males of our pack understood exactly what their alpha was going through and they sympathised with him a lot. I wonder how many of our females were fighters and got hurt regularly. “I can walk you know!” I said to him and I got a look from him in return. I wasn’t to sure if I’d just insulted him or if I’d just REALLY insulted him. But instead of treading carefully I poked the bear. “Maybe if you just take a minute?” I tried a different tactic to calm him down and that got me pinned against a tree and his n

  • The Lost Alphas Daughter    Heavy weight

NaomiI slowly made my way into the water at the bottom of the water fall. Washing the dirt and blood from me. A nice brownish red cloud surrounded me in the previously clear water. It felt a lot colder now than it had when I went through the waterfall. I stayed in there for a time allowing my wounds to heal. It kept me nicely out the way as Alec, Julian and a few of my southern warriors to shift back to human and sort the legalities out. That was all boring human stuff that I wanted no part of until I had to. So I laid down on a ledge inside the water. Becca had shifted and so had Karl, having been around them for a good length of time I realised that their friendship worked like an old married couple. Becca hadn’t confirmed to me directly but I believe she’s gay the same as Karl and they have a very close friendship that I think will hold until one finally finds their mate. For gay wolves it’s not as easy to find them. So when they both emerged jumping out from behind the w

  • The Lost Alphas Daughter    The leap

NaomiI sailed through the water fall, Becca’s timing was obviously perfect. Luke’s back was to me and his head was down as he tried to work out where I'd gone. I managed to land on his back and dig my claws into his fur tearing skin and hitting muscle before he could even move. Now I started to draw power and draw heavily from both packs. This is what me and Alex had spent a lot of time on. For me to draw and shift like he did. I wasn’t on Luke’s back for long I was flung of within seconds. But I’d done damage and he was bleeding. I drew more and more power and I saw the moment he knew what I was doing as I concentrated my energy draw from the south and in particular my higher ups who were all around here. Luke was the closest so naturally he was inflicted the most. Luke knew the pack would come, me drawing on not only the south but the norths pack as well meant they would both come. Both had recieved the call. This meant that Luke had to up his game. They weren’t far away and
