Aslan knew he had hurt his sister but the way she was lashing at Elena, he had to interrupt and no one will accept an excuse because his family loved him blindly. Thus, he had to say those things. he had to spill the truth. But did he do the right thing? He recalled his sister’s face and felt ashamed.

He sat down on the couch with his head in his hands when Elena came running to him and hugged him.

It was something unexpected but felt good when she hugged him on her own. God only knows what Jo told her. He enjoyed the present moment as her body pressed into his. His heart beat accelerated but he didn’t want to act like a perv.

Her innocent eyes told him that she never knew about the shooting attack at the wedding. Then she frowned and sat beside him. He felt empty and cold from the separation.
