“Christian thought it would be better if we didn’t tell anyone about my family.” I said.

I knew I was being evasive but I was scared. I had spent most of my life hiding my identity, it didn’t feel natural to tell anyone the truth. Onyx trusted her mate completely but I was scared, what if she was wrong about him.

“Why is that?” Elijah asked.

He licked the point on my neck where he would mark me. I felt shivers of pleasure running down my spine. He pulled me closer, he held me as though I was the most precious thing in the world to him. Tenderly but incredible possessively.

‘Tell him anything he wants to know, right now.’ Onyx purred.

“There aren’t many packs that are willing to take in a lone wolf, especially not one that has the strength of an alpha.” I said.

“I think your strength is a bonus, for me and our pack.” He said.

“You wouldn’t say that if you knew who my parents were.” I said.

I could feel myself getting nervous again. I was sure that I was about to lose my
