Elena's Pov

I waited for him all night, but he never returned. I kept telling myself that he was probably still at the hospital with her, but as the hours passed, my heart sank.

The food I had prepared for his return remained untouched, and the little gift box containing the pregnancy test sat on the table.

I had been so excited to tell him that we were finally going to have a child, but now, I didn't even know if I should bother. I lowered my hand to my stomach and gently rubbed it.

"I'm sorry, little one," I whispered. "Your father doesn't even know you're here yet." Tears filled my eyes as I thought about the future I had imagined. I had pictured us choosing names and preparing for our baby's arrival together.

Instead, another woman's child was being celebrated while mine remained a secret.

I spent the rest of the night crying alone. Servants passed my door, chatting excitedly about the Alpha's heir, but nobody came to check on me.

Everyone seemed happy that the pack would finally have a child to inherit the Alpha's position. I was an orphan with no family or close friends to turn to. My husband had been the only person I truly depended on, and now he was the reason I was hurting.

With nobody to comfort me, I eventually fell asleep on the floor beside the bed, one hand resting over my stomach.

The following morning, I woke to the sound of people moving things downstairs.

After washing my face, I hurried out of the bedroom and looked over the staircase. Several servants were carrying boxes and furniture into the house.

Then I saw my husband standing beside Ciara , his hand resting on her back as he directed them. She was pointing toward different parts of the house, telling the servants where to put everything.

My chest tightened at the sight. "What is going on here?" I asked as I walked downstairs. Neither of them seemed particularly surprised by my question.

I glanced around and noticed that some of the things being carried looked familiar. A terrible feeling settled in my stomach, and I hurried to the nursery. Almost everything I had carefully arranged was gone. The curtains, toys, decorations, and furniture had been removed, leaving the room filled with unfamiliar boxes.

"What have you done to my nursery?" I demanded as I turned toward my husband.

He sighed. "Calm down. There's no need to get upset."

"Then explain why everything has been removed." I snapped, my anger growing with each passing second.

He glanced at Ciara  before answering. "There was a problem with the pup last night, so I stayed at the hospital. The doctor said she needs to be somewhere she can receive proper care. For the baby's safety, she will be moving in with us."

I stared at him in disbelief. "She's moving in here?"

"Yes. It's the best arrangement for now." "And you couldn't even discuss it with me first?" I clenched my fists, ignoring the sound of my heart shattering into pieces.

He frowned. "Her pregnancy needs special care, and the baby needs to stay close to its father."

I looked around the nursery, struggling to hold back my tears. I had prepared that room with my own hands, spending weeks choosing the furniture and decorations. It was meant for the child I had hoped to have with my husband. Every little thing represented the future I had dreamed of.

"You cannot do this," I said. "This nursery is for my child. I prepared it for our baby, and you cannot just throw everything away because she wants the room."

Ciara  finally spoke, looking around with a dissatisfied expression. "Honestly, I don't understand why you're making such a fuss. This room was never suitable for the Alpha's heir."

I turned toward her. "What do you mean?"

She picked up one of the dolls before dropping it back into the box. "Look at these decorations. Everything is too feminine and childish. My child will be a strong warrior like his father and me. He needs a proper room, not one filled with dolls and pretty little things."

My jaw tightened. "Your child?"

She smiled. "Yes, my child. Since he is the Alpha's heir, he deserves the best."

She then looked me over and shook her head. "You should learn to control yourself. You're the Luna…yet you're behaving like a spoiled child. When I fought beside the Alpha, I never complained. I've faced rogue wolves, been attacked, and bled for this pack without crying over every little thing.”

She paused, a smirk creeping up her face. “Yet here you are, throwing a tantrum over some decorations. You're a Luna with no wolf and no child. You're completely unfit for the position."

Her words struck the deepest part of my heart. I had always been a wolf-less Omega, and even after becoming Luna, I had never escaped the pack's judgment. I had spent five years working hard, attending meetings, handling pack matters, and doing everything I could to earn their respect.I had endured their whispers because I wanted to prove that I deserved my position.

Now, the woman who had slept with my husband was using my greatest weakness against me.

I felt tears gathering in my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. I had cried enough. I forced a bitter smile. "So you're such a strong warrior and so devoted to this pack that you had to climb into another woman's husband's bed?"

Her smile disappeared. "You want to talk about being a good Luna? At least I didn't have to seduce someone else's husband to get attention. Shameless bitch! Get out of my house!"

Ciara placed a hand over her stomach, looking offended. "How can you say that? The Alpha and I are comrades-in-arms. We've fought together for years, and what happened between us was an accident. You should stop being so jealous. A Luna shouldn't behave this way."

I trembled with anger. An accident? She expected me to believe that carrying my husband's child was just an accident? I turned toward him, waiting for him to defend me.

After watching us argue for a moment, he finally stepped forward. "That's enough. You should remember your place and stop disrespecting the Luna," he warned Ciara .

She lowered her head, although her expression showed she wasn't pleased.

He then turned to me. "And you need to calm down too. It's just a room. I'll prepare another one for you if you want. There's no reason to make such a big deal out of this."

I stared at him. "You expect me to give up the nursery I prepared for my child so she can have it?"

He sighed impatiently. "I've already explained why this is necessary. The pup needs to stay close to its father. Right now, her safety and the baby's health are what matter most. Once she gives birth, she will move out. Until then, I expect you to be patient and stop making things difficult."

I wanted to argue, but I could tell he had already made his decision. He wasn't asking for my opinion; he was simply telling me what would happen. I looked around the nursery and noticed the little clothes and decorations scattered across the floor.

Bending down, I began picking them up. My hands trembled as I gathered the things I had bought with so much excitement. Not one person offered to help me. My husband remained beside Ciara while the servants continued bringing in her belongings.

I held the little clothes and decorations against my chest before standing up. I had prepared that room for the child I thought we would welcome together.

Now, I was being forced to give it up for another woman's baby. Without saying another word, I turned and walked back to my room, carrying everything I could save.

Elena's PovI was running, but I didn't know where I was going. All I could hear were the voices around me, mocking and laughing."A wolf-less Luna." "A Luna who cannot bear children." "She doesn't deserve to be Luna." I covered my ears, but their voices only grew louder. No matter how fast I ran, I couldn't escape them. Then someone shouted, "She's nothing but a burden to the Alpha!"I turned around and saw people pointing at me with disgust. I wanted to tell them they were wrong, that I was still their Luna, but the words wouldn't come out.A sudden splash of cold water hit my face, and I gasped as I jerked awake. My clothes and sheets were wet, and my hair stuck to my face.As I opened my eyes, I saw the Beta's daughter sitting beside my bed with an empty basin in her hands. • The Luna He Lost   Chapter 4: You Chose Her

Elena's POVI returned to my bedroom and placed the things I had collected from the nursery on the bed. The little clothes, blankets, and toys I had carefully chosen for our future child were scattered across the sheets. Just yesterday, I had imagined arranging everything in the nursery and preparing to welcome the baby I had prayed for. Now, another woman would be using that room for her child. My eyes were still red from crying when the door opened and my husband walked in. He glanced at the things on the bed before looking at me with a frown."What exactly are you so upset about?" he asked. "I have just returned from fighting a war, yet instead of welcoming me, you keep losing your temper. First, you argued with me yesterday, and now you're making trouble over a room. What do you expect me to do?"I stared at him in disbelief. After everything he had done, he still expected me to welcome him with a smile as though nothing had happened."I expect you to remember that you have a wife

  • The Luna He Lost   Chapter 2: I'm Pregnant too

Elena's PovI stared at him in disbelief. He was angry with me? After what I had just witnessed, he actually expected me to welcome him with open arms? He sighed when I didn't answer. His expression changed, and he stepped closer, using the same gentle voice he always used whenever he wanted to calm me down."Come on, my love. I'm tired. I have been away for too long, and all I want right now is to spend some time alone with my Luna."I pushed his hand away when he tried to touch me. "Why?" I asked, my voice breaking. "Why would you do this to me? Why would you get her pregnant?" Tears ran down my cheeks as I looked at the man I had loved for so many years. "I am your Luna. I am your mate. How could you betray me like this?"He let out a tired breath and rubbed his forehead. "It wasn't supposed to happen," he explained. "We were celebrating after the battle, and I drank too much. When I woke up the next morning, she was lying beside me. I didn't know what had happened until the doct

Elena's PovI hummed softly as I moved around the kitchen, checking the food on the stove for what felt like the hundredth time. Everything had to be perfect. Tonight was special because my husband, Kael, was finally coming home after spending weeks fighting the rogue wolves at the border. I wanted to welcome him with his favorite meal and make sure he knew how much I had missed him.The dining table was already set, and I had prepared enough food to feed half the pack. I had even gone through my wardrobe several times before settling on a green dress. It was his favorite color, and he had once told me that I looked beautiful in it. He said the color brought out my eyes, and I had remembered those words ever since. I wanted to look beautiful for him tonight. After all, it had been a long time since we had spent a peaceful evening together without worrying about pack duties or threats from the rogues. There was another reason I was so excited.
