Chapter Seven: Emilio's True Heart

Anastazie showed up for the Mate's Moon Ball looking gorgeous. Her white hair shined in the moonlight and the red lipstick she had picked brought her goddess like features out. She was a sight to behold yet she was obilvious to the young Alpha who were unmated stealing glances at her. Many packs called her the snow white of the wolves due to her beautiful white hair and fair skin. And me in my young stupidity had tricked our pack that she was weird and ugly. I felt jealously as all the other young males oogled her. She was mine, I had known her the longest. Many of the men sniffed the air as she absent mindedly walked past them. They were all hoping she'd be their mate and their packs Luna. Not today suckers! But alast I was hoping the same thing. 

"Please Goddess Nyx give me this goddess of a woman as my mate. I know I've been an asshole to her but I've come to realize that I love her." I said under my breath. I caught her eye from across the room. She had choosen to sit in the back of the of the party away from everyone. I raised my glass to her and smiled. I had hoped that she would get up and come talk to me but she stayed where she was. But what hurt was she gave me an odd look, one that said why are you showing interest. I shrugged it off and hoped that I would catch her scent. I sighed and mingled with the pack. After awhile I glanced back over to where Anastazie was sitting but she was no longer there. Where had she gone?

"What the hell." I murmered out. She didn't even stay long or talk to anyone. To my right there was a commotion between a man and a woman. The man emanated power which told me he was an Alpha. They stepped up on the stage and only then I realized what was going on. 

NO! This can't be right. But the word spoken by Alpha Rider would tear my heart apart. 

"Good Evening Alphas, Lunas, and wolves. I have amazing news." He stopped smiling brightly before he continued. "I found my mate, she is none other than Anastazie Lyra Micheals." The crowd broke out in gossip. Some were full of shock and others were jealous. While Rider was a sadistic asshole one could never deny he wasn't good looking. But he didn't deserve her. The cruel stories had circulated through the community. What he did next caught me off guard. My anger flared as he plunged his fangs into her neck. Her cry of pain broke my entire heart. 

"Fuck you how dare you!"  I yelled at Alpha Rider, power and anger falling off my body in waves. Staz hung limp in his arms now, it's common for wolves to loose consiousness when they are marked without permission. It was obvious he didn't give two fucks about what he just put her through. He had a triumpht** smile on his face. He was a heartless man and wolf. I was unsure why the counsel hadn't taken action against him for his many crimes. Maybe it was due to him being one the few Alpha's left with a pure bloodline. They wouldn't kill someone who was part of those bloodline no matter what crimes they did. 

"She's my mate and you will hold your tongue on my doings as it is not your place mutt." He mused out with vemomous power oozing out of him. He picked up Stazie bridal style to carry her away. Mrs. Micheals had fainted and Chloe was fanning her back to consiousness. Mr. Micheals was being held back by my father. 

"Micheal!" Alpha Rider called out. 

"Yes Alpha?" A strong man came forward and spoke. 

"The Car." Alpha Rider ordered and started to walk towards the door.

"Right away Alpha." Micheal bowed and ran ahead of his Alpha to get the car. He must be Alpha Rider's Beta. I stood there with my fists balled. I caught my fathers gaze who shook his head no. We couldn't afford a war with the Westmincer pack right now. I knew that but how could I watch a man lay claim to a woman I loved. One he sure and the hell did not deserve. Before he walked fully through the door he turned and smirked at me. An Alpha that was a close friend of my fathers grabbed me.
