Asher
What!
Like I'd expected, they gasped out in shock with their eyes widened in awe. Their expression was filled with shock and disappointment.
I stroked my chin and stared at them with a smirk on my lips. The first elder, Elder Elliot, cleared his throat and asked after regaining his composure. "Are you for real? Or you are just trying to buy time for yourself to look for your mate, Alpha?"
I took a sharp glance at him and scoffed. Though I feel offended by his question, I choose not to make it obvious.
"There's no need of buying more time because I have found my mate and there's nothing no one can do about it," I said.
They were shocked and taken aback by my announcement. Who could have believed I could have found my mate before the so-called ultimatum they gave to me?
"Where is she? And why haven't we heard any news of her arrival in the pack?" One of them asked, and they nodded their heads in agreement.
"She's at one of my houses outside the pack so she is safe. I haven't announced her arrival so you can't hear any news about her at the moment," I said.
"We'd like to have a piece of evidence or proof that you have found your mate. Can we have her picture?" Elder Ezekiel asked, and I scoffed inwardly.
"No, you don't need her picture because I'm going to bring her to the pack very soon. I want to take things slowly," I said.
"With this, we can't possibly believe that you have found your mate, Alpha," he said.
I raised my head and threw a cold glare at them. "Are you telling me that I'm lying, huh?" I asked in a cold and angry tone.
"As much as we don't want to doubt you, we need to be sure that you've found your mate," one of them said, and I growled deeply. I'm aware of their plan of complicating the issue.
"I don't need your confirmation. I have found my mate, and I'm going to bring her to the pack very soon,"
"I have my reason for not bringing her to the pack. I need to clear something before bringing it to the pack. I'm planning to make her the Luna of the pack immediately after I announce her arrival," I added, and they gasped out in shock.
Maybe that would be enough to clear their doubt.
"You can't possibly do that, Alpha," Elder Elliot said, and I scoffed.
"Why do you think I can't make her the Luna of the pack?" I asked with a cold tone, annoyed by their hypocritical behavior.
"You can't make her the Luna of the pack without the approval of the pack. She has to pass through some tests to show that she's up for the task," he replied, and I took a deep breath.
As much as I don't want to listen to him I know he's right. It's part of our pack tradition that the Alpha mate has to pass some test to be able to qualify.
This would be hard because my mate doesn't seem to be the hard one. She's too innocent to do the tasks required for her to become the Luna of the pack.
"She's not doing any tasks," I suddenly said.
"What! But that is the rules and traditions of the pack," he said, and I scoffed.
"Rules are meant to be broken," I said.
"You can't possibly do this, Alpha. If you do not bring your mate to the pack to complete the task then you'll have to make Jessica the Luna of the pack," Elder Ezekiel said, and I growled.
"I'll make my mate the Luna of the pack. And don't ever bring up Jessica in our conversation again," I warned.
"But…" I interested him abruptly.
I slammed my fist on the table and they flinched back in fear. "That's what I want," I said, stood up from the chair and left angrily.
I wonder why they have to frustrate me. I'm certain that they're trying every possible way to make Jessica their preferred choice the Luna of the pack, and I won't let that happen.

"I think I like this," I said as I pointed at a bright design structure on the phone screen.
"She'll like this design," I muttered as I bookmarked the design on the device.
"I'll take note of this. And what else do you want me to do?" Katherine, the female event planner, asked with a bright smile on her face.
"I don't know much about decoration so I'm relying on you to make the event decorate a perfect and memorable one,"
"And most especially, I want her to be amazed that day," I said, and she nodded her head as she wrote down the details I gave to her.
I'm planning to make a surprise and grand party to welcome my mate the Luna of the pack. I'm very sure she'll be shocked and amazed.
I want her to feel at the top of the world. I smiled gently at the thought which crossed my mind.
I looked up as the door pulled open with force and Lucas rushed in with a worried look.
"What's wrong?" I asked and took a sharp glance at the maid who understood.
She bowed her head and left my office.
He walked closer to me and whispered. "There's a problem. Jessica is heading to your private cottage house and you know what that means, right?"
What does she want? I asked myself and jerked up from the chair with a cold look.
I need to be there before it is too late. She might bring down the building if she finds Alessia in my room. She's a hot-tempered person.
"Why can't you stop her?" I asked with a cold tone as I walked hurriedly to the door.
" I didn't see her. It was a guard who relied on the message to me," he said.
I twisted the knob of the door and rushed out of the office, and headed out of the pack house.
I took a sharp glance around the environment to ensure that no one was stalking me. I dashed into the woods at my wolf speed since I didn't perceive anyone around me.
I exhaled heavily as I tried to catch up with my breath. I climbed the stairs and walked into the house ignoring my legs which wobbled in pain.
"What am I going to do?" I asked myself with a confused look on my face as I heard Jessica's loud voice from the room.
I tracked their scent and dashed into my room. I swallowed hard as I stared at Jessica attacking Alessia who fell on the floor.
I walked closer to Jessica and pulled her backward. "What the hell is wrong with you? What are you doing?" I asked with a cold and angry look on my face.
She pulled her body away from my arms and turned to me with an angry look on her face. "Who dares to ask me such a question?"
"Who is she? Why do you bring her to your house? Is she the reason you decided not to make me…" I quickly covered her mouth before she could complete her statement.
My heart skipped as I stared at Alessia who sobbed silently with tears rolling from her eyes. It hurts me to see her in this form.
"Who gave you the right to touch her, huh?" I asked with an angry look on my face.
"And why do you think you can come to my house the way you want, huh?" I asked and pushed her away.
"But I'm your…" I interrupted her abruptly.
"Keep quiet and leave if you don't want me to punish you," I warned and pointed at the door.
"You'll pay for this," she snarled and pointed her finger at Alessia.
She glared at me and stomped out of the room in anger. I breathe out in relief as the door slammed shut with a loud bang.
I took a deep breath as I walked closer to Alessia who was crying with her hair covering his face.
She shifted uncomfortably and pushed my arms away when I tried to pull her into a tight hug.
"I'm sorry for the nuisance she caused," I apologized and sat down beside her.
"Who is she?" She asked indifferently, her voice cold and hostile. This shows how angry she was.
What am I doing to do? Making my mate angry is the last thing I want at the moment.
"She's nobody…"
"You don't need to deny it. She's your girlfriend…" she replied curtly, and I gulped down into nothing.
"Yes, but she means nothing to me," I quickly said.
"It's hard for me to believe a man who's keeping a secret from his mate," she said with a cold look on her face.
"Please try to…" She didn't allow me to complete my statement.
For the first time, she raised her hand and stared into my eyes then said. "Asher, please reject me,"
I felt my heart sliced when she made the statement. It was as though a spear was thrown into my heart.
What!
AlessiaI held his hand and stared into his eyes with a cold and expressionless look on my face. With a heavy heart, I ignored the pain that burned my throat and said with a cold voice. "Asher, please reject me as your mate,"What! He gasped out in shock and quickly pulled his hand away from my hand.He was literally shocked and taken aback by my requests. "What… did she just say…" his voice came in a whisper as he tried to question me. I looked away as he walked closer to me. He leaned closer to me and sat beside me. "You heard me, right? Please reject me," I said in a cold tone even though I wish he doesn't accept to reject me. It's quite sad that I have to ask him to reject me even though he saved me from being raped. I'm grateful but I'm not ready to take risks again. I feel that's the best thing I can do at the moment. He didn't tell me that he has a girlfriend until I found out that he has a girlfriend. And there's a probability that he'll leave me for her someday so before
AsherA bright smile formed on my face as I stared at Alessia who fell asleep on my broad chest. I licked my lips as my gaze landed on her pink lips. She looks so beautiful and sexy that I couldn't stop staring at her. I wouldn't regret making her the Luna of the pack. I can't wait to take her out of my cottage house to my pack where she'll be treated as a Queen. I smiled again as the thought crossed my mind. It has been a long time since I've smiled so I won't hesitate to smile when it comes to her. Her presence, body, scent, and mate bond make me happy whenever I stare at her. So why wouldn't I be happy? I can't wait to make her my Luna and mark her as my mate. I carried her from my chest and placed it gently on the floor. Why can't I resist her beauty? I stared at her, unable to take my lustful gaze away from her body. She looks so beautiful and peaceful while sleeping. She has the perfect shapes and curves that are hard for any man to resist. "Your man made the mistake of le
Jessica"Ahh… Asher," I growled out as I paced to and fro in my room with an angry look on my face. How could he do this to me? How could he send me out of his private cottage house because of one lady? How?I snarled and punched the wall behind me with an angry look on my face. The wall cracked and formed a hole. I ignored the blood that spurts out of my tightened left knuckles. "You're going to pay for this," I snarled out angrily as the image of the lady popped into my head. Like bringing a lady to his cottage house wasn't enough, he even sent me out of his house because of me. I clenched my fist with an angry and cold look on my face. I need to do something about her. I cleaned my fist with white clothes and tied it around my hand. I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up as a knock landed at the door. "Who is that?" I asked with a cold and angry look. The door pulled open, and my maid, Lilian, walked in with a cold look on her face. "What's wrong with you?" She asked wi
AlessiaAsher walked closer to me with a bright smile beaming on his face. I gulped down into nothing as my gaze landed on his hard abs and broad chest. He looks so hot and handsome that I couldn't stop staring at him. He had no shirt on him. I'm dripping just by the mere sight of him. Why does he look so handsome? I asked myself but I couldn't get an answer to it. "You look handsome," he said and leaned closer to me. I found it hard to resist his charm and stepped backward. I closed my eyes as I anticipated the kiss. I never knew it was a dream until a hand tapped my shoulder. Who the hell is this? I didn't hide the anger and frustration that surged through my mind. I hissed silently as I opened my eyes. I rubbed my eyes properly so I'll get a better view of the person sitting beside me. I didn't fail to notice the smirk on her face. I took a deep breath and sat up properly as my gaze landed on the person beside me. It was Asher's girlfriend. What does she want? Why did she
Asher"Ahh…" I clenched my fist with an angry and cold look. "Who dares pull such a prank on me?" I punched the wall beside me which cracked. "Please be calm, Alpha,""You don't need to overwork yourself. We're going to find the culprit," he said, and I growled deeply. "You know that's not possible, right?" I asked, and he shook his head in disagreement. "No, it's possible, Alpha," he said, and I looked up. "How? Let me know about it," I said, and he walked closer to me. "Then you track him down in this instance. I need to see his face," I added. "I'm not the one who can track him. You're the one who can do it," he said. "What is it? Tell me," I snarled, and he flinched in fear. "I'm sorry," he muttered. "Since you can't recognize his voice because we have a lot of guards in the pack, the only way to track him is by connecting to your wolf's inner instincts," he said, and I smirked. "That's a nice one. I know what to do," I said. I walked into the dark forest and sat down
Asher"Where is my mate?" I asked worriedly as I paced around the house unaware of what to do. I have been looking for her for the past five minutes but I couldn't sense her presence anywhere close to the house. I wiped the beads of sweat that formed on my face as I dashed into the dark forest. "Alessia," I called loudly as I turned around, unaware of the route to take. "Where are you?" My heart skipped in fear as different thoughts crossed my mind. What if she was attacked by someone? What if she was kidnapped? What if she lost her way? What am I going to do? I need to do something before it's too late. I can't afford to lose my mate not even now. Lucas is the only one I call at this moment. "Hey," I called as I mind-linked to him. "Is she in the pack? I can't find you in the pack," he said, and my wolf growled. "There's a problem," I said. "What is it?" He asked worriedly. "I went to my cottage house but I couldn't find my mate. I can't even find or track her," I said and
Alessia"You proved stubborn and chose to stay with Asher, right?" Jessica asked as she walked into the room with a cold look. The room was strange and familiar. The interior was shining with a golden color. The room was well furnished with flashy and classic items. I crossed my arms and said with a cold look. "Yes. I refused to stay away from him. So what are you going to do about it?" "What am I going to do, right?" She asked in a cold tone as she walked closer to me. "Ahh…" I groaned out and clenched my stomach tightly as my stomach twisted in pain. "What did you do to me?" I asked, and she laughed devilishly. "What does it seem to you? You're poisoned," she said, and I gulped down into nothing. "What! How can you do.…" I suddenly stopped and grunted out in pain as my stomach burned with excruciating pain. "That's what you get for not staying away from my man. Next time you come to this world, you won't dare come close to anything that belongs to me,"I crashed hard on the
Asher"Good day, Alpha," the guard at the doorstep bowed his head and moved away. I nodded my head and walked into the room as he opened the door.I looked up as a familiar scent filled my nose, a vanilla mixed lavender scent. It was the perfect and enchanting scent of my mate. "What's wrong?" I asked with a cold look on my face as Alessia walked closer to me. She tried to hug but I pushed her away from her arms. She stopped and stared at me with a sad look on my face. I glared at her with a cold look and said icily. "Stay away from me,""Why, Asher?" She asked, and I scoffed. I pushed her away when she tried to hug me again. "I said you shouldn't come close to me," I said in a deeper and colder tone. She dropped her head with a sigh and stepped backward with a sigh. She looked sad. Though I don't like to see her sad, I want her to know how sad I felt when I couldn't find her in my cottage house. "For how long are you going to be cold to me?" She asked as I made my way toward
