Charlotte's point of view

When Clara walked into the garden, I felt like breaking one of the wine bottles on her. 

Luna Chloe would spread this gossip to all my friends. I was very sure.

I could already see the astonishing look on everyone's faces. Only the men managed to have a bit of composure. 

She even gave Nicholas a nick name. I could see that Nicholas was melting in embarrassment.

He kept stealing glances at me to read my facial expression but I remained composed.

“Stupid, stupid,” Cece, my wolf, had awoken from her sleep and slumber.

I knew this was going to happen. Riley led me to the room that was given to her and her husband.

The maid had just dropped us off. “If you need anything, you can always call the number on the room telephone. I'll be glad to be at your service,” the maid said and left.

The room was not bad, but it needed a lot of work. It was kind of small. I wondered why Nicholas did not hand over the other big room to his brother.

“Beautiful. Charlotte you guys always make sure to stay on the latest interior trends. I love this.” 

Riley appreciated it. She was waltzing around the room, her hand was gliding on the walls, admiring the matte paint. 

When it came to beauty, our pack was prettier. It would be, because we pulled in more revenue. 

We had farms, businesses and local factories, so all that money went into empowering our pack members and making sure that we stayed fly. 

“Whoa! You even have this B&O television and portable speaker set. You guys are truly blessed.” Riley was a good person. Minus her nasty ways and her sketchy past, she was someone you could trust, someone you could count on.

She never talked back to her husband, she never compared people, she never tried to cheat on her husband with another man, and overall, she never demanded too much.

I feel she was that way because she was grateful that her husband loved and cherished her.

“Thank you. Riley.”

I looked down at my tablet to continue the movie I was watching before Riley and her husband came.

I had expected her to ask me questions about Clara and Nicholas, but she read the room and knew not to ask. 

Instead, Riley walked up to me and held my face. She straightened my chin such that my eyes were fixed on her. I still avoided her gaze. “You …what's up with you?”

I shifted my head away from her touch. She sighed and entered the bathroom and I continued my movie.

I knew I had to leave the room soon because she would start making advances at me. 

I could hear the sound of the toilet flushing and before I felt someone's cold arms wrapping around my boobs, squeezing it.

Landon's face was filled with a very big smile that stretched his lips. He held a bottle of beer in his hands and walked forward to kiss Riley.

Riley was naked. I snuck a glance at them and I saw him lifting one of Riley's legs up with one hand. The other hand still held his beer. 

I still pretended not to see. The lovers had broken off from the kids and they were now staring at me.

“You can stop arranging your dress now. There's no wrinkle on it,” Riley teased and Landon burst out in loud laughter.

“So, you've finally given into my wife's advances?” Landon asked as he circled me. 

When I did not respond, he moved close to the window and looked out of it. Landon was a man of few words. 

“Don't worry, Charr, this will be our little secret, okay? I won't tell anyone about it. You know we don't talk carelessly,” Riley assured me.

I knew this. The only problem here was that I had a gut feeling Landon wanted to move to me.

He had been acting really funny since the wedding and I'm sure he'd use his wife to get me in his bed.
