Georgina Sinclair's POV:
I arrived at the party earlier than I was expected and on purpose. There is already a lot going on when I enter the party hall through the side door and climbs the grand staircase. I can hear my heels clicking softly on the smooth marble floor. But I do not want everyone to see me just yet. Not until the right moment. The second floor is giving me a perfect view of the party hall through the gilded railing. From this point, I can see everything without being watched. A low hum of music is floating upward along with the mingled scents of rich wine and expensive perfumes. I slightly lean over the railing while fixing the dress I'm wearing. The fabric is shimmering in the light and matching the red ruby jewelry that is glittering on my skin. My fingers brushes over the necklace at my collarbone. It is the same one that my husband gave me on my last birthday while wishing me a peaceful and loving life. The irony wasn't lost on me. On the first floor, Danica is fluttering around in her huge green party dress while laughing like a woman who never had been with a man before. She is also greeting some of Ryan's friends and smiling at them. Where in truth, she doesn't have the right to do that. Becauae she is not Ryan's Luna. I am. But I don't have enough time to mull over it. Suddenly, the muttering in the hall stops. Then my attention turns to the long driveway that is visible through the open doors. Then my breath catches from the sight. There are several sleek black cars that arrive like a black tide. The warriors wearing their sharp black uniforms are the first to step out and each one of them is moving with military precision. But all eyes turns to the central car where a matte gray Maserati that just parked in it. The car door opens and he finally steps out of it. Alpha Marius Peddleton. My pulse spikes after seeing him. He is so tall and has a body like a well-made sculpture. He also have the kind of presence that makes everyone around him to look smaller. His dark hair is swept back and even in the distance, I can feel the heaviness of his gaze. Then he looks up and stares directly at the second floor where I am standing. His eyes are looking straight at me. My blue eyes locks with his emerald ones before something primal tightens in my chest. I subconsciously hold breathe. His stares are sharp and penetrating. And it's almost possessive too. "Alpha Marius!" I heard Ryan's voice calling out his name from the front door and breaking the spell between us. I quickly blink my eyes and step back. I also crouch down behind one of the curtain drapes just in time before the others can notice my presence. I put a hand on my chest and feels my heart slamming inside it. I take a deep breathe and slowly calms myself down. When my heatbeat slows down, I compose myself and stands up to properly see what is happening. "Alpha Ryan." I heard Alpha Marius coolly replied. His baritone voice is low and commanding that vibrates straight through the stone walls. Just hearing his voice is giving me goosebumps all over my skin. "Meet Danica Kayser." Ryan said in a proud voice. "She is pregnant with my pup." Then Danica steps forward with a shy smile on her lips. She is acting like a gentle girl after meeting an impressive Alpha like Marius Peddleton. She also tucks a stray hair behind her ear and looks up with shyness. But Alpha Marius doesn't even throw her a glance. "Where is your Luna?" Alpha Marius asked instead. I small gasp escapes from my lips. "That..." Ryan hesitates for a second before he continues. "She... She's sick and cannot attend this party." There is a pause after that. Then Alpha Marius lets out a scoff. "So you decided to bring your mistress instead?" Alpha Marius said before his voice becomes lethal. "You brought your mistress despite the fact that you know she is beneath my rank?" "That's not—" "Are you trying insult me?!" My lips curls up slightly from the sight. Danica stiffens in front of Alpha Marius with a faltering expression on her face. In the end, she slowly tries to hide behind Alpha Ryan whose expression looks complicated now. "Alpha Marius, I—" "I don't have time for this." Alpha Marius sharply cuts him off. "I sent an invitation so I can have a business-related discussion with your Luna and not for you to introduce your mistress to me." My heart skips a beat from his words. Alpha Marius wants to meet me. But after the initial surprise, a sudden chill runs down on my spine. I wonder why he suddenly wants to have a talk with me. I continue hiding behind the curtains and tries to think logically. If Alpha Marius wants to talk business with me, all I can think of is Project Silver which I started after my wedding to Alpha Ryan. It is a project aimed at cultivating the barren lands around us and utilizing the minerals that we can mine each month. I started this project to stabilize our economy and to help our pack by creating more job opportunities for them. After several sleepless nights and months of struggle, the Silver Project is finally successful and everyone recognizes and incorporates it into their lives. It is also something that no one can take away from me. It is my pride that even Alpha Ryan and Danica can never take away from me no matter how much they try. Because without me, the Project Silver will crumble. Maybe Alpha Marius can see the huge potential of this project that's why he wants to have a conversation with me. I take a deep breath, straighten my posture, and descend the stairs. Ver, who accompanies me in tonight's party, quickly offers me a drink right after she sees me. "You're beautiful tonight, Luna Georgina." Ver said. "Thanks, Ver." I replied. "You look good in that dress too." Ver smiles at me before she stands behind me. Since I don't have my husband to accompany me, I brought Ver with me as my companion. After I finish my drink, Ver looks at her phone before whispering something into my ear. "I have something to report, Luna." Ver whispered. "Alpha Ryan already heard that you attended tonight's party. So he is sending Beta Vince to bring you back to the mansion." "How did you know about this?" I asked in surprise. "My cousin overheard Beta Vince answering Alpha Ryan's call and quickly informed me." I squint my eyes before I let out a scoff. "Escort me back to the mansion?" I said. "I didn't know my husband has becomes so stupid to think that I will follow his secretary that easily." Ver doesn't argue with me. She just get my empty glass and gives it to a waiter who is passing by. "Let's go, Ver. Just ignore them. I don't think they are daring enough to make a fuss in this party." "Then I will follow you, Luna." When we get to the entrance, I straighten my back and enter the main party hall while holding my head high. Ver is following me from behind and acting as my female bodyguard. And soon, we finally step inside the lion's den. The moment I step my foot inside, everyone turns their heads toward me. But I accept all of their attention with a smile. Although I feel a little nervous, I still meet every stare I receive with confidence. Ryan is at the center of the party hall with Danica who is still clinging on his arm. He blink his eyes as if he cannot believe that I am still attending this party. But the moment his eyes lands on me, his mouth parted slightly. Ryan begins to walk in my direction as if he is enchanted. His eyes are locked on me too. When Danica notices it, she panics and clings to his arm even more. She also tries to tug at his arm but Ryan is already walking towards me. But I just give them a glance before turning around. They are not the reason why I attended this party. With a smile, I start looking for the Alpha who wants to meet me tonight. But I don't have to look for him that long. With his presence and aura, Alpha Marius is easy to spot on. He is standing near the open balcony door with a glass of whiskey in his hand. There are also four warriors behind him and acting as his bodyguards. But unlike the reactions I got from the others, Alpha Marius has a small smirk on his lips. He's been watching my every move ever since I entered the party hall. I glance at Ver first to give her a nod before I walk towards Alpha Marius. I can feel my heart pounding loudly with each step. I can also feel my nervousness spreading on my body as I slowly shorten our distance. But I try my best to keep it hidden and keep my composure intact. But I am surprised when Alpha Marius passes his glass to one of his warriors and approaches me halfway. Blinking my eyes, I slightly bow my head and greets him. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Alpha Marius." Alpha Marius lets out a pleasant chuckle while looking at me with sparkles in his eyes. "But all the pleasure is all mine, Luna Georgina." Then he moves closer and towering over me. Even though I can sense his charisma and authority, I refuse to back down. Seeing this, Alpha Marius smiles before gently reaching for my hand and kissing the back of it. I can feel Ryan's rising anger crackling like static behind me. I can feel his jealousy from the remaining bond that we have. But I ignore it all and let him burn from it. Instead, I remain focused on the Alpha in front of me. "Is it possible for us to talk privately?" Alpha Marius charmingly asked. "Yes." I replied. "Of course, we can." "Good. I already reserved a private room the moment I saw you earlier. We can talk there." I blink my eyes in surprise again but soon gives him a smile. I put my hand on the arm he offers and follow him through the stunned crowd to the stairs. Even without looking back, I can tell Ryan's rage is about to explode. But so what? Just let him feel it. This is my moment and I am not going to let him ruin it.Georgina Sinclair's POV:The next morning, I wake before the sunlight filters through my window. My body feels tense and aching with unspent emotion. I head to the training grounds hoping that moving my body will shake the feeling off. Ver is already there and her eyes lights up when she sees me. I smile at Ver and approach her."Good morning, Ver. Right timing." I said. "I need to tell you something but you should promise not to tell anyone about it."Ver wipes the sweat from her brow and looks at me with concern clouding his expression. "Of course, Luna." Ver said. "What is it?"I look around first before I lower my voice."How many of our people from Dark Shadow have joined the River Moon Pack?"Ver looks at me first before she replies."A hundred. more or less." "Good.""But why are you asking, Luna?""It's because I am going to take back my pack from Ryan." I said. His eyes widen in surprise."Luna, this is a dangerous plan. You could be killed if this reaches Alpha Ryan's ear
Georgina Sinclair's POV:When we arrive to his private room, I sit across from Alpha Marius in a dimly lit room and letting his shadows to curl along the corners like secrets waiting to be spoken. He leans on the edge of the table with his hands tucked casually into his pockets. But his piercing emerald eyes is never leaving mine even for a second. There is something electric and predatory about his stillness.I hate that I feel it.So I straighten my back and speak in a gentle but firm voice. "I should be honest with you. I really have no idea why do you want to talk to me."He walks to the table first to pour himself a glass of rum and takes a slow sip of his drink although his gaze remains locked on me. "Still have no idea?" he asked."No." I said while steadying my breath. "So, will you tell me now?"He shrugs a little but a smirk forms on his lips."What do you think?" Alpha Marius said. "Humor me and guess."I don't flinch from his playful provocation."You want a collaboratio

Georgina Sinclair's POV:Danica and I face each other on the training mat. I keep my stance and my eyes locked on her. She mirrors my stance but in a more confident and poised way. Her gaze sharpens and making her look fierce and cold. Seeing this, I can already tell that Danica doesn't need any training at all.And without warning, she lunges and slams a kick into my chest. The air flies from my lungs while I stumble back. But Danica doesn't wait for me to recover. Her leg swings toward my ribs but I block it with my arm alone. It was a painful kick but I don't flinch. But my instinct kicks in and I duck low to deliver a punch in her direction. She yelps in surprise and falls hard to the mat. But Danica doesn't stop at all. With a growl, Danica launches herself at me with a tight fist aiming straight to my jaw. That is going to be a full-blown assault. For a moment, I am now facing a warrior in a battlefield and she wants to kill me now.I dodge her attack but Danica quickly changes
Georgina Sinclair's POV:When I step inside the house, my chest tightens in an instant after seeing my husband for the first time after I collapsed from too much pain. But right now, Ryan is casually sitting in the main hall with Danica sitting right beside him as if they rightfully belong to each other. My boots click on the floor when I walk in. The rage my heart is spreading through my body."So you're determined to show your disgusting affair in the public?" I coldly said. "And now you are parading your mistress in our home?"Ryan's eyes angrily snaps at me in an instant. "Don't start me, Georgina.""Don't start?" I said before laughing bitterly. "She's not even your mate, Ryan. And yet here she is, comfortably sitting beside you like she now owns my place.""Please, Luna..." Danica murmurs in a pitiful voice. "Don't be angry at him. Alpha Ryan is only acting like this because he cares about me."Then tears start pooling in her eyes. "I'm the intruder in your marriage. I know th
Georgina Sinclair's POV:"You look stunning, Danica. The most beautiful woman in my eyes."Those are my husband's words. But he doesn't say them to me. He says those words to her. Danica Kayser. There is a thick an uncomfortable silence draping over the crowd like a cold fog. I can feel it in their stares. Some are looking at me with pity while the others are just curious. My heart races but I keep my expression neutral and still frozen from disbelief."You don't look so well, Luna Georgina." Rose, my handmaiden, whispers while pressing a cool glass of water into my trembling hands. "Please drink this."How could I possibly look well when my heart is breaking in silence?Alpha Ryan, my mate and my husband is busy twirling Danica Kayser on the dance floor like she is his everything. His eyes sparkle as he looks at her like she is his moon, his breath and his reason to breathe. Danica then giggles softly before he pulls her closer and whisper into her ear before kissing her lips.It sh
