Chapter Fifty Nine - The Luna They Want

Evric’s POV

The morning sun spilled into my room through the tall windows. I had barely slept. My thoughts had kept me awake — thoughts of Selene, of Lucien, of the things I couldn’t say out loud.

I sat at the edge of my bed, running my hand through my hair. I was the Lycan King. I had ruled this land with strength, with wisdom. People feared me, respected me. I didn’t bend for anyone.

But lately… I was changing. And I hated it.

A knock came at the door.

“My King,” the guard bowed, “The Elders have arrived. They wish to greet you.”

I stood, straightened my robe, and nodded. “Bring them in.”

The five elders walked in slowly — white hair, firm steps, deep eyes. They were the ones who had watched me grow. Some of them had fought beside my father. They only came when something serious was about to happen.

“Evric,” Elder Mago said, smiling as he bowed. “It has been a while.”

“I am honored,” I said quietly, nodding my head with respect. “Please, sit.”
