Nolan POV

She slammed the damn door in my face, seriously?.

I stared at the closed door, jaw ticking. She really did that. Like I’m the problem?

Like she’s too good to even hear me out?

The audacity.

Violetta used to melt at the sound of my voice. One look and she'd fold. But now? She’s walking around like I’m the dirt under her shoes. She thinks she’s untouchable now, with her shiny new confidence and all that icy attitude.

Cute.

Let her play the game. Let her act like she’s above me now. But I know her; I made her. And no matter how many walls she puts up or how many doors she slams, she’ll remember who the hell I am. She doesn’t get to walk away from me like that.

Not without consequences.

I leaned closer, lowering my voice just enough so she’d hear if she was still on the other side.

“Running away again, Violetta? Thought you grew a backbone.”

No response.
