She’s arrived

Frank’s pov

I remember Talia speaking to me years ago about a girl arriving, I had almost completely forgotten about it until Aiden brought her into my office. I mean, 15 years is a long time. As soon as I saw her, I remembered and knew she was the one Talia had spoken about. I felt so protective of her and knew I would do everything I could for the girl. She was my daughter from the moment she stepped into the pack.

I was heartbroken and furious when Aiden had her tell me her story, I could tell both boys felt extremely protective over her already, too. I promised her she would be safe and kept secret here in this pack. Only our family and allies would know she was here.

Lilly was so distraught when she heard what the poor girl had gone through. It is just as well that she had her wolf from a young age, or I have no doubt in my mind the girl would have died by now. What they have put her through even for a wolf could have killed her.

I picked up my phone and made the call, I knew one day I would have to make, I just hope my cousin is ready for it too.

“Hi Frank, how are you, Lilly and the boys doing” Aurora asks with her usual bright energy.

“We are all good Aurora how are your lot” I ask her.

“The girls are worse than the boys” she laughs 

“Aurora she is here, our daughter has arrived, and she has had a worse life than I thought she would have” I tell her.

“Is it the girl from the Blue Crescent Pack” she asks

“Yes it is. We can’t let them know she is here” I say before telling her everything she told me.

“Fu.cking ba.stards, dont worry, we will protect her. What do you need me to do, when do you want me to come” she asks.

“Whenever you can Aurora” I say

“I will get everything up to date here and be through as soon as I can, Lucian will probably want to come with me, so he will need to get his sh.it together too” she says

“Oh he definitely will. That man can’t be away from you. Let me know when to expect you all, I hope you are bringing the pups” I say

“As if they would let me come without them” she laughs before getting off the phone.

Aria’s pov

So, after being here for a few days, I met Alpha Frank’s cousin Aurora. He said I could trust her and that she was told years ago to help me by the Queen. 

She shared her story with me when we had a walk out to her favourite spot here that had also been her mums favourite spot. She had also had a hard life after her mum had died at the hands of her dad, step mum, and step sister. She now has a good relationship with her step sister as she was young and manipulated at the time by her mother to act that way.

It was nice to speak to someone who had experienced some similar issues even if, as she said, her abuse had not been nearly as bad as mine had. She was also there when I felt pain in my heart and stomach, which she explained were betrayal pains as my mate was sleeping with someone.

That really confused both of us as he rejected me, and I had accepted it. She said the pains were also not as extreme as they usually were either from the diminished bond or distance. Neither of us was sure. It was something we were both going to look into.

Aurora began my training with me before the Gamma was going to take over when she was back at her pack. She would come back frequently to train me and we would also visit her pack as well, if we know a pack was visiting that was close to my old pack I would stay with Aurora for a few days. 

She insisted I call her auntie like the boys do as I was family now. It didn’t take long to start calling Frank and Lilly mum and dad. They were so loving and caring towards me, and Aiden and Adam were like proper brothers to me, very protective.

I’ve been here for 19 months now, and it’s been the happiest time I have had since my parents passed. My adopted family are amazing they are so loving a bit too protective at times, but it’s nice to know they care so much. I have become one of the top warriors with my rigorous training, although I think a lot of that is to do with Nyx’s strength, too. 

Now that I am 18, Aurora and her wolf Athena will start training me and Nyx on our powers. She said we were definitely special she didn’t know how yet, but she said her name was a clue to them, which Nyx agreed on her thoughts about it.

She said she would also discuss it with Queen Talia again to see if she had gotten any pointers for us from her wolf or the moon goddess. I am looking forward to seeing what we can do. I know Nyx is as well.

It has taken me ages to beg my parents and brothers to let me go to the mall with my friends. They don’t like the thought of me going out of the pack without them, as I said before, overprotective. Finally, they have agreed, but we have to have some guards with us, which Halley’s dad is happy with him being the beta he’s overprotective too and doesn’t like her going out without guards. At least they have plenty of time to plan it all out as I am away for a month at Aurora’s pack for training from tomorrow, so we will be going shopping the weekend after I get back.

She’s used to it now, and so is Carrie being her friend for so long. At least I am allowed to go for once, so I shouldn’t complain, and the girls are excited. It's Halley’s birthday coming up in 6 weeks, and she wants us to get new outfits for her party. 

Her being a Beta female it is a big deal coming of age where she can meet her mate, a lot of packs will be invited to her party I don’t know how we are going to work it with me trying to hide from my former pack, they all know my story.

“Why don’t we have a masked ball” Halley suggests

“Yeah then you can come without anyone recognising you” Carrie agrees

“That would work, I do look different from then in my build, and the mask would cover my face. Thank you for thinking about me” I say gratefully 

“You are our best friend, of course we will” Halley says “I’ve mindlinked mum, she loves the idea she is sending out the invites today telling everyone” she adds. 

“Great that will give everyone a chance to shop in plenty of time for it” I say.

We then plan our arrangements for when I get back from the Blood Moon Pack and say our goodbyes 

It has also put mum, dad and my brothers minds at ease having a masked ball, they really didn’t want me to miss out on my friends party but also wanted to protect me at the same time. It would also look really suspicious if we didn’t invite their pack and invited the others close by. I mean, it was only the ones that had ranked males of around our age that were invited, and that was one of the packs that have unmated ranked males of age.

The Royal Pack sent their apologies as they had something on they couldn’t get out of at short notice, apparently, so hopefully, she is not mated to the princes. Or the betas son, the Gamma’s son, is still too young to be of age, so he’s out of the picture for now.

Halley let's me know while I was away that most packs have accepted the invite, so it should be a busy evening, I hope she finds her mate. I stopped feeling as much pain about a month ago, I am hoping that means the bond is now completely severed between us, so he won’t feel a pull if we meet. We haven’t received their reply yet.
