Alicia's POV

"Arnold, I beg of you. For the sake of my deceased parents and that of yours, don't do this" I lowered my voice after realising that crying out made him more enraged.

He yanked me by my arm with one swift motion and shoved me to his bed. I tucked my knees into my legs and quivered backwards while still whimpering. I closed my eyes and clasped my hands together as tears dropped continuously.

My head was banging earnestly.

Arnold sank his knee on the bed and motioned towards me with his manhood dangling shamelessly by his moves.

I stiffened when he lowered his mouth to my ear. He then whispered "You don't dare disobey me, Alicia. I don't do mercy. You felt the attraction and arousal in the afternoon, didn't you?"

"Answer me!" He howled and I sobbed out with my tiny voice.

I composed myself and nodded my head.

My eyes itch. I was vulnerable.

Aaron suddenly snickered, "Will you tell me the location of the ore mine or should I continue?"

"I will tell you, your Highness" I rushed out.

He chuckled.

"I won't be lenient if you make up excuses tomorrow, Alicia" Arnold sniggers and caresses my cheek seductively like those noble horndogs.

I nodded my head in response.

Instead of me feeling shivers of excitement at his touch, I felt terrified.

"Get out" he dismissed simply.

Without thinking twice, I flitched, hopped down from the bed and hurried towards the foyer. My mind and thought had tumbled. I couldn't get myself to deduce the crisis that was about to befall me.

How traumatic it would have been.

I ran towards our quarters like a mad woman and instantly, into the tiny bathroom. I grabbed a sponge and scrubbed hard on my skin while chanting continuously.  "I was not raped"

I slipped to the rough floor and wept silently as I felt my wincing might distract those who were sleeping which would cause a commotion in the quarters. I felt dismal, dejected and dispirited without any hope left in me. I realized that I was all alone in this world. A woman working for the ones that killed her parents.

How badly ironic.

I slept off in the bathroom till the next morning. I fluttered my heavy eyes and felt relieved when I conceded that I was tapped by the lady who had lent me her blanket the previous night.

"Gosh, you look haggard and scary. Your eyes! …." She shrieks and precipitously covers her mouth while staring around. Her eyebrows crinkled in worry and umbrage.

"The quarter is in chaos as the Prince has summoned you again but you are nowhere to be found. Should I lie that I glimpsed a figure tiptoeing out of the quarters this early morning? I meant that you have escaped" She inquires and caresses my cheeks.

My eyes felt too heavy and made it painful every time I blinked. I was mute, I could not mutter a word.

My world had finally crashed before me. My parents must feel disappointed.

I'm useless.

"Common say something" she exhorted and she stared at her back.

I nod my head negatively as Arnold's threat traversed my mind. I stood on my feet and winced at the pain I felt in my abdomen.

I leapt to the bathroom entrance but she held my arm "Did he touch you? You don't have to go if that's the case please," she pleaded.

"Let me be!" I mumbled rudely and wandered out with the strength left in me.

The guards weren't Impressed by my appearance. They instructed the head of maids to provide me with a comfortable dress as I was going on a journey with their prince.

I was bathed, fed and dolled.

I didn't mutter a word and held a gloomy expression that no one cared about.

Thankfully I was dismissed by Arnold before I could mutter an excuse for delaying him. I was taken into the cart.

Even though I was the one directing our journey, I was at the back with just one guard who was the burnt face fellow who had brought me to the palace.

I gazed at him in contempt and gulp.

If only I was strong enough to kill, I wouldn't mind strangling him for bringing me to such an animalistic surrounding.

It was a week-long journey as it was a place that was far away from the location of the Gogo (Tiger Park) settlement which is now owned by Genovia.

After two days of journeying, their stupid Prince decided that we should take a rest. He was so voracious and selfish that he didn't allow us to settle the night before. He only permitted us as much food as we wanted but would eat it while still walking.

How cruel.

Can't still believe I had wished for an eternity with the same man.

The guards made an enormous tent, for Arnold and medium-sized ones for themselves which was a bit farther from Arnold's.

They finally made an extremely tiny canopy for me at the far end after making theirs.

I was startled because it was far from them and very close to the thick bush. I eventually accepted to go rest since I had no option.

A few hours later,  I was startled out of my slumber when I heard the beating of the drum which indicates an announcement for the guards to gather.

I rushed down to where they were but they had announced whatever it was to them before I got there as they had already disassembled and were going to sit in groups.

I was standing till they all settled down.

I tried to get closer to the strong-faced burnt guy but he walked away.

Oh crap!

I continued to nibble on my lips nervously but later sat down a few distance away from them as they were all glaring at me like I was a strange being.

We were seated for some time while some guards sneakingly chatted among themselves.

They were too limited.

All those times, I was praying and wishing that the purpose of them sitting together in groups was for dinner.

I was famished beyond measure.

A few minutes later, the food was served. I could not wait as my stomach kept growling to the aroma.

I was salivating.

I was patient enough until they served everyone.

"I have not gotten mine" I dubbed the female server's attention but she insisted that it had finished.

What the hell was that?!

I almost screamed in her face.

  • The Luna's guardian   Forever, our love conquers

Alicia's POV A month later~~~~~ Anastasia was among the ladies who assisted with treating the wounded soldiers and guards. She gave details on how Fatou had assisted and sneaked out the maids as none of the powerful Royal family was in the palace to control anything. She explained that Fatou had warned a maid not to call Arnold's wife as her mission in Genovia was done. Apparently, she had married Arnold for a reason which included a mission to take back a treasure that belonged to Oceania and to snitch about the Genovia system and the activities going on in the country to her father, but unfortunately, Arnold had caught her in the process, and they had bargained to help each other out. Those times she had acted jealous were all planned. Our palace is located close to my parent's burial ground since Arnold didn't want to go back to Genovia as he insisted that the place was his nightmare that brought back his pastThe great Genovia collapsed within the twinkle of an eye and other c

  • The Luna's guardian   On the battlefield

Alicia's POV"I had thought it was the best way to get revenge on you. I thought it's best to cooperate with Cone us better. I never thought...that…" I stammered in fear. I was already losing the strength in me, and I was ready for death if that's the case. I was so fatigued and weary. Arnold suddenly kissed me on the lips "The deed has been done. Just quietly follow me. With you by my side, I am very sure to conquer the enemy" he hugged me and I nodded my head with tears still streaming down from my cheek. At that moment, I suddenly doubt if I deserve Arnold. Arnold took me on a wild ride on a horse. The journey was down to a faraway path where extremely high mountains are located. At that place, we met Abel and Arnold's other strong-faced guard whom I had forgotten his name. There were other soldiers also, and it made me wonder if they had been planning to attack Genovia. From my estimation of those who were a bit from us, I could count them as about five hundred of them. I w

  • The Luna's guardian   The fight for freedom

Alicia's POV Princess Micah's eyes were glaring over. She was flinching and shrinking as blood kept gushing out of her stomach. Her stomach was entirely shredded like the murderer had something hidden in it. It looked like the murder had just occurred recently as the blood was fresh. My legs felt too heavy to move as the scene made my body shiver terribly. The first statement that rang in my head was "If only I had gone inside the tent earlier"All of a sudden, I felt her hand stir even in this condition. I rushed to her and grabbed her arm. "Your Highness, what happened? Just hold on for me, ple..ase. I need to go and r.. raise the alarm!" I stuttered and tried to rush outside, but she tapped me instead. I wept bitterly as blood burst out of her mouth when she wanted to speak, "My baby," she touched her bleeding stomach "Is there a way to save my baby?" What baby is she talking about?"Let me go and check for the Royal doctor. Please, my Princess please don't do this to me. oh

  • The Luna's guardian   Alluring days

Alicia's POV I knew Arnold was battling with conflicted emotions. I knew that he was trying so hard not to break down tremendously. His mother died and he had to dine with her killers. For years he had carried the wounds and blames even though he only meant well for his people. I can't give him full assurance for his betrayal but I will support him as much as I can. Deep down I just hoped the letter I had given Cone wouldn't sneak out some of his plans as I now comprehended that he has good intentions. If the Royal family knows about any of his plans beforehand, they might use it against him. From what I learned from my father because I was always with him while my mother controlled the affairs of the Park. Father told me that the people are the power of a leader. If the majority of the citizens are against their leader, and they cooperate for what they want, there is nothing the leader can do but please them. With the fact that Arnold wasn't a legitimate son, it wouldn't take lo

  • The Luna's guardian   Golden ring

Alicia's POVI wiped the tears away from his eyes and he held my hand passionately "My suicide option cleared off my mind a bit when I saw Abel. On that spot, he said he wanted to tell me that his mother had mastered my writing, bribed the guard that was sent to Genovia, and had written more notes on the letter we had sent about them assisting us. She had written that your Park was trying to fight against Genovia because you discovered an ore mine. She intended to get all the ore mine for us alone without knowing that the Genovians are the master of evil plans or probably, she had other plans for doing such a thing. The mention of forming a coup on Genovia made them embark on an unexpected attack on your Park, and our ignorance of the location of the ore mine made them move on hard on my Park." Arnold and I wept bitterly. He tugged my head to himself and placed his head on it. I whimpered loudly until I began to hiccup. Arnold was mute for some time before he proceeded. "Abel w

  • The Luna's guardian   The whole truth

Alicia's POV"It was so hard to accept that I was a son to another man, but I did after he died. I consoled myself that since no one knows, it shouldn't bother me. He had taken care of me and nothing mattered as long as everyone knew that he was my father. He made me pledge to him to take very good care of the Park even though things were hard at that time. I pledged to him and focused on that. I didn't know that my consolation was just blank because my stepmother, Abel's mother, had peeked and overhead us when we were talking." he says which made me raise an eyebrow but I didn't want to interrupt him. Ooh…that explains everything. Abel was Arnold's brother but not related by blood. Does that make them step-brothers too?!Oh yeah. That explains it. But how come I never knew he had a brother by the name of Abel? I only knew Jason. "Are you not surprised by that?" Arnold chuckled bitterly. "Not really" I shrugged my shoulders with my head still on his shoulder. "Why?" he quer
