Chapter 16: Inner turmoil

The drive to Zane’s pack was taking longer than I anticipated. We had been on the road for more than three hours and Zane stated it was going to take an extra hour and half to get there.

I just leaned to the side and stared out of the car’s window.

The moon and stars were glowing and gleaming, gazing down on us. The night was calm and so was the wind but my head was in an uproar.

I was scared and nervous. My anxiety level had exceeded the normal range.

I was overly disturbed and I couldn’t concentrate on anything no matter how hard I tried. I wasn’t sure of what I was going to do when I got to his pack.
