CHAPTER 2 BABY'S CRY

CHAPTER 2 BABY'S CRY

         Hundreds of years later.

A very loud cry of a baby was heard in Auburndale. The baby kept on crying and crying as the midwife washed the blood off its body.

The woman finished soon and handed the baby over to its father.

"Thank you so much" A man in his late 30's said to the midwife after she was done. The man was a young handsome man and his face beamed with happiness as he rocked his baby with one hand and held his wife with the other.

"I will come back tomorrow or next to check her again" The midwife said and soon she left.

"How do you feel now!" The man worriedly asked his wife as she hadn't said anything since.

She slowly opened her eyes and looked lovingly at her husband. She was glad that she was able to give him a child as soon as possible.

"I'm doing better" She responded and he kissed the back of her hand which he held.

"Honey take a look, she has both our features"The man said, bringing the baby closer to his young wife's face.

The woman was in crucial pain but she still managed to smile, she couldn't believe that her baby was finally here. Plus she didn't expect childbirth to be that painful but she was over it now, at least a little.

"Yes, she has full eyebrows and small cute pink lips like you." the woman said, smiling.

"And she has long lashes and cute chubby cheeks like you" The man said to his wife and they shared a hearty laugh.

"So what do we name our pretty little girl hum" the wife asked her husband.

"What do you suggest we name her?" The man asked his wife back.

"I'm too tired to think of a name right now, I suggested Hannah or Grace but you didn't like any". The young woman remembered telling her husband that their child would be named Grace or Hannah if it comes out a girl, but her husband kept going on and on about how the name was too regular and what's not.

She was indeed too tired to think of an astounding not so regular name, all she wanted to do was sleep.

"I have a perfect name for her, Aurora. Let's call her Aurora" The man said smiling, utterly satisfied at the name he had chosen.

"That is such a sweet name!Baby Aurora" The woman said and stretched out her hands to collect her baby.

On naming the child "Aurora", a writing appeared on her back. A writing which spelt her name in bold letters, in which the couple failed to notice.

"Oh my God, she has green eyes, wow I didn't see this before!!" The woman said in awe.

The man hadn't noticed the eyes earlier, well because the child's eyes turned green immediately he gave the child to his wife.

"Wow!!!!, I didn't notice that earlier too" He looked in awe too.

"I don't have green eyes, neither do you then how did she acquire this" The woman asked, still wondering.

"I don't know, that shouldn't be our main concern. It should be how to take care of our beautiful child, besides she looks so beautiful with her lovely jade green eyes.

"What would people say about it, I'm so worried" The woman said.

"You shouldn't be, let's forget that" The man said and his wife nodded.

LATER THAT NIGHT.

A person on a black hood holding a very large basket could be seen tiptoeing out of a house hurriedly walking far away from it.

The person wore a black robe with a hood which covered the face leaving only the mouth visible.

The hood person walked deeper and farther into the darkest part of the night.

Soon the person arrived in front of a large building, with a smile on the face.

The hood person dropped the large basket recklessly in front of the building and the baby inside cried for some seconds, the hood person quickly placed a hand over the baby's mouth and soon the baby stopped crying and went back to sleep.

The hood person looked at the baby for some minutes more and soon the person fled off.
