Declaring Our Love

Sophia’s POV

Derek’s warm eyes locked with mine. He looked like a Demi god standing there against the door frame. He looked so sexy. All I wanted to do was be in his arms right now. But Beatrice had been so kind to me. She had held me until I finished crying. She had just been telling me a story about Derek when he was little. So I didn’t want to jump in his arms while she was here.

“And what would my two favourite people in this world be laughing about?” He asked, looking only at me, though. I was in a trance, lost in his eyes. I was having to remind myself to breathe. I could feel that Beatrice was watching us.

“Well, if we told you then we would have to kill you, son.” Beatrice said to him.

“Well now, there is no need for that, is there Mom.” Derek said to her so sweetly. He finally broke eye contact with me. He was staring at his Mom, and all she could do was smile back at him. I wonder if he had this effect on everyone or if it was just the two of us?
