KIMBERLY'S POV

My heart began to pound and beat loudly, it felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. Was this lady playing a trick on me? Andre looked at me with an unsuspecting look, then I faked laughter.

“Such a nice joke for an introduction,” I laughed awkwardly, trying to avoid Andre's eyes.

“Well, I'm Maya, I was hunting when I saw you both,” she said, putting her arrows back inside the quiver.

“You seem like you're not from our kingdom,” Andre said, resuming his icy tone.

I knew he was saying that because of her manner of approach. Andre was an alpha, a Lycan King, he deserved respect.

“Uhm, is there any problem with that?” She asked, looking at us both like we were weird.

Andre changed his eye color to make her understand better, without further discussion. When she saw it, she looked down, like she was guilty.

“I'm sorry, I didn't pay attention to the details,” she said, looking down as a sign of respect.

“It's alright,” Andre said, looking satisfied.
