Chapter 38: Want To Move In

I looked at my mate, seeing so many things going on inside of her that I was not quite sure of. I tried reading her even through the bond we had, but the bond had not had time to grow properly yet. We had been apart and only spent a night and a day together. This was all very new still, and I just felt so many confusing things from her side, I couldn’t tell apart. Even the things I saw pass over her face, I couldn’t quite read. I just waited until it seemed like she might have come to a decision.

“Would… Would you really want me to move in?” she suddenly asked.

I almost dropped my jaw, because I had not expected the sudden change of subject and certainly not to that. She made it sound like she actually did want to move in, but she had made it very clear she just wanted to go home. Ana had spoken of it just moments ago, and now she was talking about moving in.
