Chapter 67

Making my way back to the park, I made my way quickly and made sure I looked like I was in a hurry, keeping my head down to avoid having the blood on my face seen by others and get stopped before I’d even make it. The sun was low in the sky, giving off a dramatic and beautiful flare of different shades in the sky. It was perfect.

Once I made it a few steps, I began probably one of the best performances in my life.

I began pacing back and forth, looking down and shaking my head. I stopped and sat down, bringing my knees to my chest and rocking back and forth very quickly. I then let out sounds of distress. My ears caught the sound of mumbles and slow approaching steps of four hearts. Without having to smell the air, I knew it would be them.

They weren’t nearing me fast enough as if not sure what was going on.

“Ohhh! I’m so confused! So lonely!” I cried out pathetically. I was feeling so emotionally cold that I was finding it hard not to snort at how flat it sounded.
