Carson POV

Marly was a white wolf. She was stunning and it meant our pack was blessed. What would her special talent be? I had no idea, but I could not wait to find out. I saw Marly starting to sway in front of me. She was exhausted. I was proud of her. She had handled her shift very well.

Shifting is not typically that intense. I could only assume it was because Marly was a special wolf, that the first shift took so long. I swept Marly into my arms and slowly walked back to where our clothing was. She had long since fallen asleep in my arms and I was reluctant to wake her.

“Marly, it’s time to wake up,” I said softly. She let out a soft growl, which caused me to smile. My little mate, and wolf were going to give me a lot of attitude, I thought to myself. I slowly released her legs, letting them slide down my body so she was standing in front of me.

I'm thinking she died so that broke the bond. But then she was brought back to life. Maybe by witchcraft?

Carson released his father, so that he could step towards his mate.
