Ryuu walked into the kitchen, then froze up when he met eyes with Mabel.

*Well, this is a fun start to a new day.* He mused.

He quickly turned on his heels to leave.

"You don't have to do that." Mabel said, freezing him in his tracks.

Ryuu turned around with a nervous grin. "Do what?"

"Run away the second you see me. It's getting pretty annoying at this point."

"I'm sorry ma'am." Ryuu muttered and Mabel's brows wrinkled.

"Ma'am?"

Ryuu's eyes widened.

"I'm sorry!" He yelled, waving his arms around. "I just have no idea how to address you. It's been even more awkward since you called me out on my feelings for Faye."

"I didn't do that to accuse you, I did it out of genuine concern for your life."

"Yeah, I've seen the way Emris looks at me.." Ryuu let out a nervous chuckle as he scratched the back of his head.

"But, he's grateful to you for protecting Faye." Mabel informed. "I am too."

Ryuu smiled. "I did what I had to do."

Mabel smiled back as she plated her food.

"You want some?"

    "Faye!" Gwen yelled when all six of them arrived, then rushed over to examine her. Emris gently lowered Faye to the ground, and she stumbled sideways- her sight compromised with black spots. "Whoa!" Emris held her shoulders to steady her. "Are you okay, dear?" Gwen questioned, and Faye nodded. "What happened?" Nick questioned, smelling blood on them."We need to sit down for this." Emris replied. Gwen and Nick looked at each other with furrowed brows, then at Emris. Suddenly, Faye clutched onto Gwen's hand, her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she fell. "Faye!" Gwen screamed as Emris quickly scooped Faye's body off the floor and ran into the house. •••Faye's eyes fluttered open to the familiar ceiling of her room. She slowly sat up on her bed as she recalled the last moments before her blackout, then sighed. "Just as I thought, bringing someone back to life takes a toll on my body."The door swung open, and Emris walked in with breakfast on a bed tray."You're awake."

    "Vincent!!" Lynn screamed and they rushed over to his body. Emris gritted his teeth and slammed his fist into the ground. *Not again.* He growled. *Not this again!*The sound of Lynn's cry filled the air, and Faye watched them mourn. She stared at Emris' back, slouched as it carried the weight of regret. She could tell that he was already blaming himself. She could tell that he was already killing himself on the inside.
