Vanessa's POV

The dining hall held its breath.

Every pair of eyes had swung toward me the second the word left Ronan's mouth, and now they stayed there, waiting to see what shape my humiliation would take. Some of them looked curious. Some looked away entirely, suddenly fascinated by their soup. A few, I could feel it even without looking, were enjoying this. There is always someone in a room like that who has been waiting years to watch the woman on top become the woman on her knees.

  • The Lycan's daughter: His to ruin   The Golden Trap

The Golden TrapVanessa's POVMy heart didn't just hammer in my chest,it slammed against my ribs like a trapped beast trying to break bone.Cold sweat trickled down the back of my neck, soaking into the collar of my sweater. In the dim, flickering light of the subterranean corridor, the blood-red glow of the binding circle seemed to bleed into the shadows around my boots.“If Vanessa tries to take him past the outer gates... his heart will stop beating instantly.”The words echoed inside my skull, sharp and metallic. A wave of nauseating vertigo rushed through me, but before I could let my knees buckle, my wolf stirred from the quiet depths of my mind. Her presence wasn't a senseless, frantic howl for blood; she rose like an ancient, cold sentinel, her voice ringing clear and steady in the back of my brain.'Breathe, Vanessa,' my wolf commanded, her tone heavy with lethal focus. 'Do not give into the panic. Panic is a scent he can catch. Retrace your steps. Now.'A faint, sharp scrapi

  • The Lycan's daughter: His to ruin   Whispers in the gilded cage

Whispers in the Gilded Cage(Vanessa's POV)The second morning at Wild Bloomers Park broke in a slow, suffocating fog.Gray, damp mist clung to the glass windows of the west wing, swallowing the pine ridges in a pale, quiet void. I hadn't slept a wink. I sat in the high-backed armchair near the fireplace, watching the soft rise and fall of Ethan’s small chest beneath the heavy velvet quilt.By seven o'clock, the fever from the blood anchor had completely receded, leaving his skin cool and smooth. His breathing was deep, undisturbed, and entirely peaceful. The anchor was stabilizing. His body was healing, even as my soul was being torn apart bit by bit."Mommy?"Ethan’s small, raspy voice broke through the quiet hum of the burning embers. He rubbed his eyes with his fists, kicking off the heavy blanket and sitting up against the carved mahogany headboard.I immediately forced a soft, warm smile onto my face, pushing down the bone-deep exhaustion and horror that had gripped me since dis

  • The Lycan's daughter: His to ruin   Blood and bone

Blood and BoneAbel's POVThe ringing started at 2:00 AM.It was a persistent, jarring vibration against the dark oak of the nightstand. I didn't reach for it right away. I lay in the stillness of the master quarters, staring up at the shadow-draped wooden beams of the ceiling, feeling the dull, familiar ache thrumming in my left shoulder—a constant, heavy reminder of the claw marks and broken bone that had nearly cost me my life two years ago.I rolled over, my movement stiff, and picked up the phone."Speak," I grunted, my voice thick with sleep and cold iron."Alpha," Silas’s low, uneasy voice came through the receiver, filtered through heavy static. "The Council of Elders just issued an emergency summons for dawn. Elder Vane called it personally. The full high circle is gathering at the Hall of Pillars."My jaw tightened. I felt the slow, dark surge of my Lycan blood prickle against the back of my neck."At dawn?" I growled softly. "What is so urgent that Vane couldn't wait until

  • The Lycan's daughter: His to ruin   Shattered Mirages

Shattered Mirages(Vanessa's POV)The courtyard plunged into a suffocating, unnatural silence. The wind died down. The rising steam from the melted snow hovered motionless in the crisp mountain air. Every single word Mandy had screamed from the second-floor balcony hung over the stone terrace like a blade poised above a thread. He is your father, Ethan! He is your biological father! My heart didn't just drop—it froze. A cold, violent numbness spread from the back of my neck all the way down to my fingertips. My breath locked in my throat, my claws digging so hard through the fabric of my trousers that I nearly drew my own blood.Ethan’s tiny hand went completely limp in my grip.He didn't scream, neither did he cry. He slowly pulled his hand out of my hold, taking one hesitant step backward. His bright golden eyes—eyes that carried the exact royal glow of my father's line were wide, round, and trembling with a terrifying, childlike bewilderment. He looked at Mandy standing on the balc

  • The Lycan's daughter: His to ruin   playing with fire

Playing with Fire(Ronan's POV)I sat back down at the head of the breakfast table, smoothing the linen napkin over my lap with unhurried grace. The morning sun continued to wash over the polished silver and fine porcelain, casting a bright, deceptive glow across the quiet dining room. Emma was still happily humming to herself, taking tiny bites of her blueberry pancakes, completely oblivious to the brief hurricane that had just swept through the front hall—or the furious sobs echoing softly from the upper guest wing.I picked up my silver fork and knife, cutting into a crisp slice of maple bacon with calm, surgical precision.Let Vanessa simmer in her defiance. Let Mandy drown in her self-pity. A true master of strategy never rushed his opponent when they had just walked willingly into the net. Every reaction, every sharp spike of anger from Vanessa, was entirely predictable. She clung to her royal pride like a suit of armor, unaware that pride was the easiest leverage to turn again

  • The Lycan's daughter: His to ruin   Master mind's gambit

(Ronan's POV)The customized ringtone buzzed against the marble surface of the vanity, its low vibration humming through the air like a coiled rattlesnake.I didn't reach for it immediately. I let it ring twice more, casually adjusting the gold cufflinks at my wrists, smoothing down the lapels of my dark charcoal suit in the full-length mirror. Patience was a virtue weak men failed to master; control was an art form.On the fourth ring, I picked up the burner phone and pressed it to my ear."Speak," I commanded lazily."She’s on the move, Lord Ronan," the muffled, distorted voice rasped through the encrypted line. "Two black armored sedans just passed the outer gates of the Bloodthorne estate. Vanessa and the boy are on their way to Wild Bloomers Park."A slow, cold smile stretched across my lips, "Excellent," I murmured. "Keep your head down."I hung up without waiting for a reply and tossed the disposable device into the brass fireplace tray, watching the inner casing melt into wor
