Moore clenched his phone tightly, his heart racing nonstop, lips quivering.

“Mr. Black, let’s talk about—”

Three beeps echoed in his ear, indicating the call had just been disconnected. Sweat beaded on Moore’s face, his eyes darted around the room as though searching for somewhere to hide… but there was nowhere.

He was alone.

And now, sooner or later, his heart was going to be ripped out of his chest. The thought made his knees buckle. He felt stupid for ever playing with Ste-phen’s words.

His son was dead. He couldn’t even grieve—he was next.

His trembling fingers slid across his phone screen, dialing a number. When the person on the other end picked up, he yelled:

“Fuck! Thank God you’re not dead. Prepare any possible way for me to leave this country right away. I don’t care how you do it, I need to leave now! I’ll pay you anything—just find me a way immediately!”

The voice on the other end responded, “Sir, you could follow the goods you're about to ship to Korea. If it’s urgent.”

Real. He confirmed it and yet, greedily shoved his tongue into Ste-phen 's mouth, meeting and entangling with his. It was real, and the thought of it made him groan. He kissed him back, slow and gentle, not rushing things. After a while, Mason pulled away, meeting Ste-phen ’s captivating gaze. “If you still think I'm a drunk, there's another way to clear that thought,” Ste-phen muttered with a sly smirk. “You haven't changed one bit,” Mason said. “Do you want me to?” “No. I like you the way you are. I might punch you in the face one day,” Mason smirked. “This sassy side of you is gonna be a problem… or perhaps fun,” Ste-phen said, and both smiled at each other. As they settled down, Mason decided to call his parents. There were missed calls from them; they must be worried. “Mason . Baby, are you okay? I've been trying your line since last night,” Yara's shaky voice sounded from the other side. “I'm fine. I'm fine, Mom. I just happened to sleep early,” Mason said. “H

As Yara made preparations for the blind date, Mason cleaned himself up, shaving and restoring his usual look. It hadn't been easy being clean from drugs for three months, but it was worth it… he hoped. Today, Mason was on the bed, still clad in his hospital uniform as he listened to his mother's story about an old friend she had met yesterday. Her face was beaming with happiness lately; he couldn't tell if it was due to the fact that he had agreed to the blind dates or because, after five long years, he finally found himself smiling. Even though it didn't really reach his heart… that deep scar would perhaps forever be branded there. Mason let out a soft chuckle at her joke. She looked up at him, surprised, her hand flying to her mouth. “Oh my, you just laughed!” she teared up immediately. “That is so sweet!” “Why wouldn't I? It's so fucking hilarious,” he grinned, and Yara pulled him into a deep hug. “I love you, son. I love you so much,” she said, stroking his back gently. “I

‘Wake up Mason . Stay awake, don't close your eyes' ‘Fuck he had already lost so much blood. His condition is critical,’ a doctor said. ‘Well fûcking do something!’ Seth yelled, but sounded distant in Mason 's hearing. ‘Oh my God' Twilight's distant voice followed. His sight was blurry. He was breathing through an oxygen mask, with several doctors trying to save his life. Everywhere, everything hurts, but not as much as the scene replaying in his head. His memories with Ste-phen . When they first met, sorting out their differences, how they began to fall for each other. How every flaw became their addiction. His smile, jealousy, touch, voice, warmth and now… Death? The fire made his head bang, his breath slowed down. “We’re losing him. His heartbeat is dropping!” The panic in the doctor’s voice sliced through the fog in Mason ’s head, but it felt so far away. Like a dream underwater. Everything was dimming. Fading. Ste-phen ’s voice still echoed in his mind.

The battle was beginning to lean in favor of the rogues. With their ability to regenerate, and their higher-ranking units covered in armor that could withstand bullets, the werewolves were beginning to lose ground. Herod and some others were assisting with the snipers, but even then… It still felt like a waste of time. Seth , drenched in blood, spotted one of the green-eyed rogues nearly killing one of his men. Without hesitation, he charged at it, slashing its armor with his claws. He had killed five in total—each one had resurrected. His strikes were becoming less brutal, and his healing was slowing down. The only thought that kept him going was: once Zoraya dies, it’ll all be over. At least, that was the hope they clung to. After managing to kill the green-eyed rogue—though taking a few hits himself—he tried to head toward the building to find the bitch himself. But the rogues had formed a protective circle around it. Getting there was next to impossible. The wolves wer

The silence clung to the air like a second skin, tension thick as fog. As if in response to the thud of Aldric’s head hitting the floor, the sky thundered—and it began to rain. No one moved. Not even a finger. The shooter was one of Seth’s men, his gaze cold as ice as he lowered the weapon from the rear sight. Lucian’s eyes remained lifeless, locked on Aldric’s headless body, which was still standing. Thunder roared again. Then, laughter echoed. Ste-phen flicked his gaze to the head lying on the floor. Aldric’s severed head was laughing—so hard that tears prickled at the corners of his eyes. “You really think it’d be that easy to kill me?” the head rasped, voice filled with wicked amusement. “You must be hilarious, Lucian. I knew something was off with the way you kept trying to piss me off. Even if you shoved your hand into my chest, you wouldn’t find a heart there. I’m fucking blank. Tear me to pieces, and I’ll still come back together.” A spine suddenly stretched fr

Thud. Drawfall lifeless body crumpled to the floor. The moment she had finished spilling out what she knows, Ste-phen had shove his hand into her chest and pulled out her heart. He watched the organ’s beat fade in his hold. His midnight eyes barely matched with the anger burning through his veins recalling everything Drawfall said. After the massacre centuries ago, Zoraya had managed to flee along with a few survivors. However her heart burned for revenge, seeing the way Ste-phen killed her mate. She was on Aldric’s side, believe Ste-phen wasn't meant to be King. She was cunny and devious, Suspected to be the one to dive shitty things into Aldric’s head, manipulating him to destroy Ste-phen and his family.
