Nadine settled into life with Juan and Lorenzo. It wasn't really that bad, she thought. The brothers had a ranch-style house in a secluded part of town, that had acres and acres of surrounding land.

They let her roam the land for an hour a day, and gave her raw steak during mealtimes. They'd watch her devour it, and although she did not like that she had an audience, she knew there was nothing she could do about it, so she just sucked it up.
