Oh my God Nova you're here",my high school bestie gushed while she hugged me(more like squeezed the air outta my lungs)."Fucking hell Eliza, i can't fucking breathe babe", i manage to say making her release her chokehold on me. Almost immediately she grabs my face and starts saying " what lotion do you use you skin looks and feels soft to the touch" " You know i don't use any lotion" "Well it's not my fault that i don't know you anymore, you blatantly refused to come to any party we throw. I can't even remember the last time i saw you" She finished off with a frown. " Love, i'm sorry okay, i had work to do" "Work!!! For 3yrs, find a better excuse" " I'm serious babe, it's was really because of work, i swear". "What kind of work makes someone abandon their friends, i hope you weren't in prison" "For what,killing your stalker?“ She gasps and asks how did you know i had a stalker?“,i looked at her like she was nuts and said “who do you think took care of him for you? The fucking cops”. I had to close her mouth cause she was gaping at me, “but they told me they had taken care of him and i haven't seen him again” she said when she recovered from the shock. “Well i and the police have some kind of mutual agreement” “alright hold up, my head is spinning at all these information just come in alright” “wait Liz, please don't...ummm...announce to every one that i'm here” “why not” she asks turning to face me once we walked past the door into the hall were all my friends. “Just because” i hadn't even finished my statement when i heard my other bestie squealing my name, Eliza gave me an apologetic smile before Jade jumped on me still squealing making me wrap my hand around her so she won't fall. My friends have started waving me over so I had no choice than to go join the crowd with Jade still clinging to me like a koala. “Dee, come down” i said trying shake her off my back “no way, i've missed you and your cologne” i laughed but still dropped her down despite her protests and shouts. As i walked towards the group i heard a very familiar laugh so i searched for the person that had that laugh. Kayden. He turned and as his dark orbs met mine i saw his eyes widen, i noticed a very beautiful brunette leaning on him with his hands wrapped around her waist who was she. I gave him a small smile before removing my gaze from him though i was moving towards the. I got there and greeted them all with fake smiles,i would've shaked some of them but Jade was holding my hand in with possessiveness. They all started asking me questions like “why haven't you been at any of our parties including the school reunion”, “wow your hair is so glossy, what product do you use”, “oh my god i like your Loui Vuitton jacket”(these ones were from the girls obviously) and “blah blah blah” i was so tired of answering their questions by the time they finished. I headed to the mini bar that they had set up with Liz and Dee in a tow to have a drink, we called for the hired waiter but he's gone to the bathroom and they both wanted cocktails so i stood up and went behind the counter, “what will you like to have” i say leaning on the marble counter to talk to them, they both laugh and Liz says “what are you doing there, you never know, the bartender might be one of those ones who like keeping their work space private and he might get mad if he sees you there” i scoff and say in a cooly “i don't give a flying fuck what he thinks or if his head bursts open with rage, he should have brought someone to fill in for him while he has a bathroom break, now would you like a drink or should i leave you to your own devices” “we would love to have a drink,sheesh don't get all Godzilla on me” Liz says feigning annoyance. I ruffle my hand through my hair and say “sorry babe” she beams at me and says “no problem girl, apology accepted”, all the while Jade has been with her phone, smiling as she chatted with someone, “who's the guy” Liz says nudging Jade with her shoulder “huh” Jade says acting innocent “who's the guy” Liz asks again “what guy” Jade says still texting with a smile on her face. “Nova, won't you say something” “shh” i place my index finger on her lips, shushing her while scanning the hall for a certain guy. Found you. “It's Daniel” “huh” Liz says, confused “the guy she's texting, it's Dan” “how'd you know” Jade says, her eyes wide “easy, he looks like he's in love with his phone, won't stop smiling” Jade blushes and i say “young love”fluttering my eyelashes and smiling like a love sick fool. “That for me love, i'm flattered i would really love to fuck you” Jayden says leaning on the bar counter, i scoff and say “in your dreams” “i know, it's happened before and i've been trying to make it happen again but it didn't occur again”. I step out from behind the counter standing behind me, he turns so that he's facing me and i take a step forward, leaning in so that my hands rested on his chest and with my mouth beside his ears, i whisper loud enough for Liz and Jade to hear. “Maybe, i should give your dream a little boost up the unconscious ladder don't you think” i say trailing my lips on his neck, giving little nibbles on his throat, he groans, his breathing coming out in short spurts. I slide my hand lower down his chest to caress his abs and then take it up again to circle his nipples through the thin tee he has on, feeling myself aroused, i stop not wanting my senses to be clouded and make a stupid decision. “You okay there big guy” i say raising my head up to see Haydens red face, heared his laboured breathing and i laughed. I held his cheek and said “you okay Jay, you look like you have a fever” he didn't answer,”hey earth to Jayden” he just went on staring at me and i snapped my fingers bringing him out of whatever land he was in at that moment, the girls started laughing making him smile awkwardly “don't do that Nova, never do that again” he said putting his hands on my waist “aww you poor baby, did i...make you flustered,hon” i say reaching up to bite his earlobe, he was about to reply when Kayden appeared from like literally no where and pushed us apart, a bit rough if i might add “that's enough flirting for the day don't you think Nov” he said looking at me with a weird smile, i say nothing while Jayden says with concern “what's up bro” “nothing just that i'd prefer it if you guys remain friends without the whole sex part” “dude what's your problem, we were just playing around she's just a friend”, i remain quiet narrowing my eyes at Kayden,is that jealousy i see in his eyes, it must be my imagination. “Look bro, i'm looking out for you, you have a really good life and i don't want you to mess it up by knocking her up or God knows what things she has in her body that'll destroy your life” i hold in a gasp and harden my eyes, the girls and Jay open their mouth in shock and Kayden rolls his eyes “come on guys don't give me that you barely know her, you guys haven't been in touch for 4 years you don't know what she's done,who she's fucked or….“ “if you say one more word, one more fucking word and i'll kneel you in balls” Eliza says glowering with rage, Jade's face is also red with anger as she glares at Kayden, Jay clenches his fist and i hold his clenched fist “it's okay guys, he's just looking after you that's all”, i say my eyes cold. I turn to go outside desperately needing a cigarette “where are you going Nov, are you okay” dumb question my friend,Kay practically called me a slut and she's asking if i'm fine,i turn towards Jade and say “yeah i'm cool i just need to call someone” then i turn towards the guys and say “don't fight because of me, i'm not worth it” then i turn and go outside.
