Della's POV
It's been two months since I've moved to New York with Daisy. Natalie has been coming over consistently. Between the day we got together as of not long ago, I've been telling her bits regarding our past. She's never made a decision about me and I'm thankful for all that she accomplishes for us.
She’s like a real sister to me and an Auntie to Daisy. She's family to us. Daisy and her turned out to be exceptionally close. Daisy calls her Aunt Nat and Natalie calls her Dai or more often than not darling.
I'm cleaning the kitchen trusting that Daisy will wrap up having her morning meal. Natalie said she would inquire about a new line of work for me at the club that she works at. I concluded it was the ideal opportunity for me to begin working so I don't go through the remainder of the cash we actually have.
I've become acquainted with my neighbor over the two months that we've been here. She's a lonely widow. She let me know that her significant other died serving our country. She even showed me pictures of him one time when I went to her apartment with Daisy.
I conversed with her about me finding a new line of work and she confirmed that she would watch Daisy for me while I went to work. I could do without asking individuals for help. I've generally liked to do everything all alone however I truly do require somebody to watch her. I wouldn't simply abandon her home for the six hours that I would go to work.
"Mom, I'm done. Can I sit in front of the television now?" Daisy asked me while pushing her empty plate towards me.
I grinned at her and gestured my head, "Alright, bubbles. Go for it."
She took off and hopped on the sofa before turning the TV on. After I wrapped up washing the dishes, I sat close to Daisy and hung tight for Natalie to message. She would tell me what her manager says.
Alessandro's POV
"It's a joy working with you, Mr. Gattani." The man whom I was meeting with said as he shook my hand.
I just offered him an unpretentious gesture as opposed to expressing anything as a trade off as I put on my shades, pivoting and strolling outside to my vehicle.
"Where to, Mr. Gattani?" Asked Ken, my driver.
"Inferno." I responded to him before taking out my phone to message my sibling, Luca.
"Yes sir." He answers, driving off toward my club.
Alessandro : I'm going to the club.
Luca : Need us to come?
Alessandro : No, it's nothing enormous.
Luca : Okay, we'll simply return to the house.
Alessandro : See you later.
I put my telephone in my pocket and rest back on the seat. The vehicle windows are colored, keeping everybody outside from knowing who is in the vehicle.
Traffic is horrible as usual so a chunk of time must pass before I at long last show up at the club. At the point when I enter inside, I head over to the bar where Natalie is sitting.
"Nat, what do you want to discuss with me?" I ask as I approach her.
She cuts the chase as she says, "Boss, I have this friend who urgently needs a job."
I take a gander at her briefly, sitting tight for her to go on yet she doesn't. Feigning exacerbation, I ask her, "For what reason would you say you are letting me know this?"
She murmurs emphatically and talks, "Could she please work here as one of our servers? She can begin this evening."
I run my hands over my face sleepily, "You realize I don't deal with employing the servers. I let Fedele do that since he's the head of the bartenders. I actually don't see the reason why you're asking me when you ought to ask him."
She takes a full breath in before talking once more, "She's simply experienced a great deal and she's never truly worked. I needed to let you know just incase something occurred so you wouldn't be so unforgiving with her."
I rub my chin, getting irritated with this discussion, "You requested that I come here so you could inquire as to whether a lady who has never worked before can fill in as a server in my club?"
She gestures her head energetically and grins splendidly. I look at her as though she's simply said the most dumbest thing on the planet, "What on God's green earth do I look like to you?"
She groans and throws her head back, "Boss, she's gone through so much already… "
I cut her off before she could even finish her sentence, "Same with every other person on the planet."
She stands up from the stool and stops directly before me with her jaw up and eyes eyes on me, "Boss!"
I gaze at her briefly, not looking away, "You're about to continue to pester me until I agree, right?"
She gestures her head again with a decided look all over.
Running my fingers through my hair, I yield and say, "Okay."
She quickly livens up and opens her mouth to talk.
"However, I hold a finger up, preventing her from saying everything that she planned to say and say to her in a harsh voice, "In the event that anything turns out badly in my club because of her, I will hold the both of you accountable."
She peers down at the floor while saying, "OK, Boss."
Della's POV
It's presently afternoon and I'm making lunch for myself and Daisy when a notification pops up on my phone.
Nat : Hello, darling. Just had a chat with my Boss. You start this evening at ten.
Della : Much thanks for this, Nat.
Nat : It's no issue. I'll meet you at your place this evening. We'll prepare and go together.
Della : Amazing. See you then.
I put my telephone down on the counter and serve macaroni and cheddar in a bowl for Daisy and tell her to sit at the table so she can eat, bubbles."
"Coming, mom." She puts the remote down and leaps off the lounge chair before securing her spot at the table.
"Eat the entirety of your food." I remind her while putting some squeezed apple close to her bowl.
"OK, thank you." She says and takes a taste of her beverage.
I take a seat at the table with her and quietly watch her as she eats. She pushes a spoonful of macaroni into her mouth, making her cheeks puff out. She seems to be a charming little chipmunk.
This evening will be my first time being without Daisy for over 60 minutes. I don't have the foggiest idea how I will make it happen.
Fedele’s POVHe pulled out his phone and turned it so I could see it. I looked on the screen and sure enough there was a video of Della"You see Fedele I hold all the cards. My wife, my family and hers are safe and sound.""Now what? Are you going to kill me with your bare hands.""Actually I have been thinking about that. Then I started thinking what would be the best possible punishment for your indiscretions and it came to me as I arrived here."He got up and a screen came down from the ceiling. Pictures of children faces appeared. One was of a little girl who looked to be blind, another one was of a little boy connected to a machine and a little girl who's face seemed to be scarred. Then more pictures appeared of sick people. One by one from young to old he clicked through pictures of people I didn't know."Why are you showing me this?""Because you are going to either save their lives or you will enhance it.""What are you talking about?"The door opened behind him and two men wa
Fedele’s POVI woke up to find myself in another room. I was still wearing the blood stained garment that was drenched in Harold's and Auntie's blood. I must have been dreaming. The stench of the blood was starting to get to me. I raised up slowly holding on to the wall."Rise and shine." I heard the eery voice of my captor. I looked around and still his cover was hidden. The wall opened up and there was a bed with white sheets and someone lying in it. I walked in as it seemed to be the only place to go. As I walked in I heard two distinct voices. A man and a woman but they were moaning. The covers moved and then someone emerged from under the sheets. I watched as the sheet slowly lowered from the back.I squinted trying to figure out who it was and why was I brought here. It was a woman. She moved her body up and down. He leaned her head back and I stopped in my tracks."Ashley?" I ran towards her but was stopped instantly as I hit a glass wall. I started to beat on it but she couldn
Fedele’s POV"What's the difference Harold? Della's dead and you nor Alessandro got her .""You sick mothefucker! Della was the only... reason I stayed. You switched the results...""I did what I had too. I had already lost everything and I couldn't afford to watch you have Della.""You sick scum .""This time he charged me and was able to grab my foot and I hit the floor hard. I tried getting up but he kept pulling me closer until his face was mere inches from mine. His left eye was dark purple as I could see traces of a fist. There were light scratches on his cheek and his neck was bloody with remnants of a huge scar.He laughed as I could see most of his teeth had been pulled out. Somehow the blood had dried up in clumps around his swollen gums making him look like a monster. I turned my face as I didn't want to see him.I knew I could never trust him and I needed to find a way out of here."Me? You started this Harold!""I might have but you took it to another level," he said cough
Fedele’s POVI looked up at my surroundings. I decided to take the tunnel straight in front of me. It seemed as if I was in a catacomb. The dark rich stone and concrete was thick and settled as if it had been carved thousands of years ago. It was dark and the more I journeyed in the more the air seemed thin.I continued on which seemed like forever until I came to a door and I opened it only to find a brick wall behind it. I hit it with my hands and the force from the hit had me shaking the pain away."Ouch, what the hell?" I said hitting on all sides. I could hear his laughter in the background so I ran back the way I came. I finally came out and started on another tunnel. The Dane thing happened except this one became smaller at the end. I was literally hunched back when I opened the door to another wall. I ran back to the opening and there were two more tunnels.I started from my left and the tunnel zigzagged. I continued on as I felt coldness starting to seep through. My clothes w
Fedele’s POVI slid down the wall and cried. I could still taste the metallic flavor of Auntie's blood against my lips and my dress was drenched in her blood. How was this happening to me why did I do what i did? At this point I don't even know what made me involve myself in the plot to kill Alessandro's wife? I saw a red light and when I looked up the clock was counting down. I didn't know how long I had been sitting here but all I could do was watch the numbers ticking away."Mr Fedele time is wasting," he said in a singing voice. The deep baritone voice dripped with pure insanity."Leave me alone you sick fucker!""Ah now now now. Did we not just have a conversation about name calling? Have I called you out of your birth name? Where are your manners Mr. Fedele?"I looked around trying to find where his voice was coming from. I checked the ceiling and the walls and couldn't see anything."Did you have to kill her? She made a mistake and death shouldn't have been her punishment. That
Fedele’s POV"What kind of game are you playing Asshole? Let her go!" I yelled out in the room."Save me Fedele!" She said begging and crying so hard I couldn't hear my own thoughts. My heart was beating so fast in my chest I didn't know what to do. I couldn't afford to lose her. I climbed up on the platform to see if I could push the blade part back up. I was using all my strength to make it go back up but it wouldn't move up just kept moving down. I heard Auntie crying harder."I can use the saw and cut your feet off. I think it's the only chance you have.""No you can't. Oh God please no.""Auntie it's the only way."She screamed. "No....please. There has to be another way."Tears were rolling down my eyes. "Let me save you.""Ah nooooo..." I heard her say as the clock bonged out. The wood around her neck began to tighten. I could hear the metal and see the metal knobs that held up the two pieces of the opening turning. This contraption wasn't giving me much time."Whoever can hear
