Alek stared at me with admiration in his eyes. “Why would you risk your life for me? I stole yours, remember?” 

I thought over his words for a second. “You may have changed my life, but you didn’t steal it. You saved it.”

Baffled, he stared blankly, not sure what to say to those words, and placed the car in drive, then took off.
