Gianna

“What are you looking at?” he growled.

“You,” I breathed, licking my lips.

His lips twisted into a knowing smile. “Do you want this?”

I nodded slowly, my breath caught in my throat. The need was overwhelming. His fingers were inside me again, stretching me, and the way he touched me had me clenching around him, my body already reacting to the demand in his touch.

Nico’s gaze darkened, and his voice turned cold, commanding. “Open your mouth.”

I did without hesitation, my chest rising and falling with every shaky breath as he reached across me. Slowly, eyes dark as the night outside, he pushed his thick length inside my mouth, filling me, almost choking me. My lips closed around him, my mouth filling with the heat of him.

“Suck…” he groaned, slowly easing himself in and out of his mouth. And I took all of him, eagerly, willingly, and I wanted more. But just as I was starting to enjoy him, he pulled away. His eyes locked on mine, dark and almost angry and drunk with lust.

“Not yet, cara mia. We’ll get to that later,” he breathed. "Now, how about that third orgasm?" I groaned, my eyes closing as he covered me with his strong, warm, sinful body and slowly, so-fucking slowly filled me up again, making sweet pleasure sing through every inch of me.

God. He was going to be the death of me.

Only the sound of our panting breaths could be heard when Nico finally collapsed on top of me, his weight grounding, his breath hot against my skin. I was spent, completely shattered as we lay there. The rain had finally stopped, and it was all quiet outside.

"Do you want to go back to the cottage?" Nico asked, his voice low, almost gentle.

"I don't have the strength..." I whispered against his chest.

We weren't exactly cuddling, but he hadn’t pushed me away either. And that was enough for now. I think I heard him chuckle. Somewhere between the sound of his heartbeat and the lull of the stillness around us, I drifted off. The earth was damp beneath us, but his warmth kept the chill away. I don’t know what time it was when I felt my hand brushed lightly against my cheek.

"Gianna," Nico murmured. "Get up."

I groaned. "No. I don't...have strength...for anymore fucking..."

"It's not that" His voice held a hint of amusement. "We need to go."

"I hate you," I muttered against his chest.

"You’ll hate me more if we miss this." He haphazardly dragged me up, and I felt him somehow covering me up with my clothes, which thankfully managed to dry up.

I didn’t know what this was, but I had no intention of moving. My body felt like mush. Nico waited exactly three seconds before sighing and lifting me in his arms.

"Put me down," I protested, squirming in his arms.

"You said you didn’t have the strength," he said. "So I’m using mine."

He stalked out of the barn and then carried me up the hill like I weighed nothing, his steps steady, even on the slick ground. I wanted to fight him, but something was grounding about being held by him. Something safe.

By the time we reached the top, the sky was already shifting—inky black melting into soft purples and pinks. Nico set me down gently on the dry patch of grass he’d somehow known would be there. We sat close, pressed together for warmth and then—

The sun broke over the horizon.

Soft pinks, golden light, a quiet blaze spilling over the world.

I exhaled. “It’s beautiful.”

“Told you…you would have hated to miss this,” he nodded. I sighed deeply, taking in the fresh morning air and the beautiful sight in front of my eyes. I turned my gaze to Nico, and the soft morning glow on his face took my breath away. He was mesmerizing. So broken yet so beautiful.

“What is it?” Nico frowned, catching me gawking at you.

“Thank you,” I smiled. “I really enjoyed this little celebration.”

“Including last night?” he raised a brow. Heat flooded my cheeks, and I bit my lip, somehow struggling to meet his gaze.

“Definitely including last night,” I mumbled. Nico curled his fingers around my chin and lifted up my face, his eyes searching for something I couldn’t figure out.

“Don’t be ashamed,” he said. “You were a fucking goddess and you…took my breath away, Gianna. I love to see you like that…wanting, eager and taking every bit of what I have to give. I am in awe of you. And I want it to be me…just me who gets to make you scream and beg like that. Do you understand?”

“Yes,” I bit my lip. “I want it to be you, too…”

“Good…” he said, brushing his lips against mine. “There’s so much more I want to do with you. I do hope you are taking your contraceptives on time…” I blinked, and then my eyes widened.

Oh fuck.

Gianna “What are you doing here?” I demanded, trying to calm myself. Nico was stretched on the bed beside me, still dressed in his work clothes. What time was it even?“I kind of live here, Gianna,” he said with a shrug.“That’s not what I mean,” I hissed, glaring at him. How dare he come and sneak into my bed after last night? Did he think I was going to forget everything just like that? Nico sighed, running his fingers through his hair, and thankfully, he kept his hands to himself and actually looked ashamed. Well, as per his capacity.“I’m sorry about yesterday,” he mumbled. “I’m really sorry.”“Sorry doesn’t solve every problem, Nico,” I scoffed. “Especially when you over-utilize that word.”“Gianna, you need to understand…I…” he was at a complete loss for words. “I am messed up and the probability of becoming a father now…I panicked.”“Clearly,” I grimaced.“No…you don’t understand,” Nico said, his voice heavy. “Things like this…it throws me into a spiral. A baby—that’s big. And

Gianna “Gianna?”“Gi…?” I felt someone shaking me, making me almost jump up from my seat with surprise. I turned my head, and Teresa raised a brow at me, looking concerned. And that’s when it dawned upon me that a room full of very important people was gawking at me.Including Maximus.“Sorry,” I apologized, my face flaming up. “I…”“It’s okay,” Maximus smiled at me. “How about we take a little break? This meeting has been going on forever. Grab some coffee and a bite? It’s almost lunch time anyway.”“Sure,” everyone nodded, and I swear I wanted to crawl under the table and hide with mortification.“Miss Rosario, would you mind joining me?” Eve, Maximus’s lawyer, said. “I would like to go through the points you mentioned earlier. If this is the right time?”“Uh…” Teresa hesitated, glancing at me.“It’s okay. Go,” I assured her. “I will grab some coffee in the meantime.”“Are you sure?”“Positive.” Teresa squeezed my hand and then joined Eve, immediately falling into conversation as

You’ve been taking your contraceptives, right?” I wanted to say something, but I couldn’t form the right words. Panic wasn’t making it easier.“I…I…” The fuck Gianna…say something.“I what?” Nico snapped, startling me. His face mirrored my panic and fear, his jaw clenched as he almost glared at me.“I…am not sure,” I whispered. He blinked at me. And then he blinked again. His expression shifted from blankness to surprise, then to shock, and finally to pure rage within seconds.“Are you kidding me?” Nico growled, startling me. “You’re not sure? What the fuck does that even mean?&rdquo

My head snapped up. “What?”The doctor smiled gently. “The test came back negative. It was a very close call, though. You’re already two days late, which means you’re right on the edge of your window.”I exhaled a breath I hadn’t realized I was holding. My shoulders slumped.“You need to be extremely careful going forward. I suggest you take your shot again today and make sure you’re renewing it on time as prescribed. Next time… you may not be so lucky.”All I could do was nod. Numb. Relieved, but hollow. And even though the very thought of Nico touching me right now made my stomach twist, I still agreed to the shot. I needed that certainty.“I will wait outside then,” Amara said and giving me a reassuring nod, she walked away.“So, I will walk through the details first,&rdqu

I barely registered him walking me backwards until my spine hit the wall. All I could focus on was his lips and his tongue coaxing and devouring mine. His eyes were wild and dark, like a predator at loose, when he finally pulled away, both of us panting hard.“Take your clothes off,” he said, voice low, rough.
