INICIAR SESIÓNMISS CATERINA POV :
ONE YEAR LATER. It has been a tough year for Serafina. I have watched her grief over her mother's death every single day. She's been really sad and there is nothing I could do to cheer up. She even refused to celebrate her birthday, or any celebrations. I have tried my possible best to put a smile on her face, she needs someone who will love her, I hope a loving family adopts her soon, I don't want her to spend the rest of her life being sad, she's too young to be going through this pain. I sighed after much thinking. "I should check on the kids", I thought to myself. It was already five pm, the girls should be resting, I will just check if they are alright Isabella was the first person to notice me walk in. "Good evening Miss Caterina", she said "Good evening Ma'am", the remaining girls chorused. "I just came to check up on you girls" I said looking at Serafina in particular. "We are fine Ma'am", Valentina said "It will be dinner time soon, all of you should get some rest before then", I said before I walked out of the room. Going straight to my office, I had some files I needed to take care of, we needed people to help out with the fees of the orphanage. Everything was becoming more expensive and the children seemed to be multiplying almost everyday, we needed wealthy families to sponsor the orphanage, so I will be holding a Charity Gala two days from now. I hope it will also help some children to get adopted especially Serafina. Entering into my office I decided to invite people I didn't know I will ever invite to my orphanage, The Mafia, we needed the funds, so I will just have to invite them, after all it is a one day event, nothing to worry about, hopefully. I walked into the dining room the next day with the intention of announcing the event that will hold tomorrow. "Can I have your attention my lovely children", everybody became quiet and I was certain if a pin dropped I would hear it. "There will be a Charity Gala tomorrow, I have invited a lot of affluent families, so please be well behaved tomorrow, some of you might even get adopted by some loving and influencial people" I said while smiling. "Miss Caterina please what's a Charity Gala", one of the children asked. I chuckled and said "oh am sorry for not saying the meaning, A Charity Gala is an event that will help raise money for the orphanage". "Oh, oh", I could see that they finally understood me so I left them to finish their breakfast and went on to start planning for the event. "I really hope nothing goes wrong tomorrow", I said in a low voice. I wouldn't want to endanger the children's lives because of a particular guest I needed to invite... did I make a bad decision?SEBASTIAN POV :When I got to the orphanage, the event had already started so I just walked in majestically, I might be in my late fifties but I still look young, especially with this blue tuxedo am putting on. All eyes where on me in a minute, I was literally the center of attention and then I could see Caterina walking towards my direction.Caterina: Thank you for coming to my Charity Gala.I could see the disdain in her face when she said that but I didn't mind so I just smiled at her.Caterina: The orphanage is going through a lot and I could really use some funds.Sebastian: I noticed, I just knew you won't invite me here if it wasn't important to you.She gave me a small smile then left without saying a word.ATTENTION ATTENTION!!! it's time for the lovely children to meet the people who are here to support them financially, Caterina said while on the podium. And at that moment a lot of children entered into the hall in a straight line, walking towards Caterina on stage, my eyes
Florence City. SEBASTIAN POV : I was sitting down in my office going through some files when Matteo, my right-hand man, came in. Matteo: Boss, I have some information for you. I signalled him to continue with what he was saying. Matteo: You have been invited to the Casa Della Speranza Orphanage for a Charity Gala. "Oh, but why will Caterina invite me? She doesn't even like me," I said thoughtfully. "Maybe she needs to raise funds for the Orphanage", Matteo chipped in. "Do I really have to go, I mean, it is not even in this city," I said, while trying to understand the file in my hands. "Well, Boss, i have been talking to you for a while now, but you are not even paying attention. "I have told you that you shouldn't call me boss, just call me by my name, Sebastian, we have been friends for a long time Matteo, stop being so formal with me." Matteo sighs and says, "Okay, Sebastian." I thought for a while and decided to listen to Matteo. "So when are we going to Turin Ci

SERAFINA'S POV : We kept on walking for close to thirty minutes. "I am tired of walking, I want to sit down", I whined. "We can't stop now, I need to get you to a safe place", he said as he carried me up. "Don't drop me like you did before". "I won't", he chuckled. After a while I could see a big house and a very large sign board which could not be ignored. "CASA DELLA SPERANZA ORPHANAGE" "What's an orphanage?", I thought to myself, should I ask him?, no he will just make fun of me. He entered inside the big gate carrying me in his arms. "Buongiorno signorina Caterina", he said in a language which is definitely Italian. I didn't know much about the language but I love the way it always sound when someone says it. I was brought back from my thoughts when I noticed the lady he was talking to. She was a tall, white skinned lady, with a short blonde hair, she looked like she was in her late forties. "Sono qui per abbandonare questa ragazzina, per favore proteggila. Sua
BENEDETTA'S POV :I could hear voices and when I finally opened my eyes......"Ahhh my head hurts""SHUT UP!! bitch", I heard one of the men say.And then it dawned on me, where is my daughter, SERAFINA!!!"Didn't you hear me the first time, keep your mouth shut!""Please where's my daughter, please don't harm her" I pleaded while crying profusely. "Your daughter is safe", i turned to see another man, he was more calm than the one that was busy shouting, I faced him and asked; "please where's my daughter?""I already told you she's safe didn't I?"I didn't say anything else and scanned the room, I was in a dark empty room, sitting on the cold floor with tight ropes on my hands and legs."I think we've been kidnapped, I thought, hoping my daughter was alright".I turned my head to face the calm man and asked, "please what do you want, I will give you anything you want, just let I and my daughter go". He chuckled and said "all I want is for you to tell me where your husband is""My hu
BENEDETTA'S POV :I was looking at my lovely daughter sleep. "She will grow up to be a strong woman with a happy home, hopefully", I didn't realize I said that out loud until my daughter caught my attention."Mom were you talking about me?" she asked And I nodded with a smile. But she looked worried so I decided to ask her what was wrong."Sweetie is there something wrong?, why are you looking sad?, are you hungry?"...I didn't get to finish asking my questions when she interrupted me."Mom one question at a time, how will I answer the first question if you don't let me speak".I laughed a little and apologized for bombarding her with questions. "So what's making my little princess sad?" I asked patting her long brown hair "Mom why are you pretending like dad didn't leave us yesterday, you know I can see the pain in your eyes even if u try realllllllllly hard to hide it", she said extending her little hands from one end to another.I didn't know what to tell my daughter. she was sti
