"Nick!,Nick!!" Nicodemus heard his father call, nevertheless,he still remained in his room choosing to brood in silence.

His father joined him on his small bed with a comforting smile.

"What's wrong?" His father asked.

He looked up to his father with a saddened countenance.

"Why am I different?. No one wants to play with me and it is no different with you and mother always keeping me locked in this house." Young Nicodemus sighed.

His father pulled him into his grasp with his smile deepening.

"You're different because you're unique Nick. We're simply keeping you from the outside world because it's not safe."

The door cringed open with his mother peeking inside before joining them. She rubbed his dark brown hair gently.

"I've found a way to hide his magic,Barron" He heard his mother say yet confused what she was talking about.

Barron stared with a bit of concern.

"I have to suppress his witch nature and that will make him a dormant tribrid" she said.

"Keeping that side of him locked forever is a burden I don't wish to bear. Isn't there another way?" Barron asked.

She sighed again. "This is the only way Barron. The witches are tracking us down with his magic, besides,I didn't lock his witch nature forever I only spelled it to remain dormant till he dies."

"Till he dies?!" Barron asked with a questioning eyebrow.

She smiled slightly before stroking his hand with a worried look.

"Nick is already a child with so much power. I don't know if he'll be able to handle so much power if his Witch nature is left unlocked. Besides, the prophecy tagged him a monster. With so much power as a Tribrid I don't want him to tour down that path. I want him to prove to the world that he his not a monster they tagged him to be."

Barron held her cheek with a comforting look.

"Our child is not a monster. But if he dies without being able to use his witch powers have we not failed him as his parents.?"

"We're doing everything to protect him. Besides,if he inevitably dies his witch nature will be unlocked and will be strong enough to resurrect him." She pursed her lips. "This is the only way Barron."

Barron nodded but she could still see the hesitation and concern in his face. She stroked his palm gently with an assuring smile.

"Nick..." She called softly while she held out his palm. "This will hurt a bit" she gently cut his palm with a small knife before holding the palm and having Barron's in the other. Her eyes closed shut with auspicious energy filling the air as she mumbled a spell.

"It is done" She finally opened her eyes while he nodded.

"Do you hear that?" Barron sniffed the air with a concerned expression from the rustling he heard outside."They are here!" Barron's eyes exclaimed while she gasped. "Take Nick and run as far as you can. I don't know how long I can hold them off."

"No Barron, let's escape together. These people are ready to kill you and I'm not ready to lose you." Theresa responded with her eyes gradually getting soaked.

"If we do that we'll both die Theresa. Please leave,I'm not ready to lose my son too." He kissed her and his son one last time before exiting.

She broke down in tears as Barron slipped through the door.

"Mother..." She heard Nick say with a worried expression on his face. "Why are you crying?" He asked. She briefly wiped off the tears that streamed down her cheek.

"Nothing. Dust I think." She lied poorly. She carried him and some belongings before touring down an underground door.

"Where are we going?" Nick asked.

"We're going somewhere very special." She responded trying as hard to contain the tears that gradually soaked her face.

"What about my father?" Nick asked yet again. His heightened senses could pick the ruckus happening around the house.

She stopped abruptly, clasping onto his shirt tightly as she carried him in her arms. It took a while before she could continue her walk.

"He has some work to do. Don't worry he'll be joining us soon."

YEAR 1046

"And that is how my great Alpha Barron died protecting his son." Nicodemus pronounced, moving proudly in the Chambers of the new Alpha of his father's pack.

"You are an abomination to this world and yet he chose to side with you. It is just a shame he died a dishonorable death." Said the Alpha.

"And it is also a shame you shalt die in my hands." Nicodemus stopped in front of the Alpha with a sinister grin while the royal guards took fierce stance ready to launch at him.

"Should I be threatened? because obviously you're the foolish one here to come into a pack of werewolves." The Alpha laughed.

"Is this all the wolves you have?" Nicodemus blurted with his hands in the air as he gestured. "Because today,Alpha Geraldton, you will die by my hands!"

Alpha Geraldton let out a growl as he arose from his throne seat.

"Guards!" He ordered.

A score of beta werewolves launched at Nicodemus with their speed but Nicodemus being faster due to his Hybrid nature snapped their heads off their neck. The remaining 10 left stood awestruck at his ruthless killing but Nicodemus didn't stop he trotted at them with his speed, ripping hearts out of their chest, biting and sucking them dry. The more that came at him the more his monstrous side overcame him. He devoured at least half of Alpha Geraldton's army before letting out a sigh. He had grown tired of their naivety. They can't beat him yet they're following their Alpha's order blindly.

"Is this all you have,Alpha?"

He watched in ecstasy as The Alpha finally lost his temper. His eyes changed to a dangerous red with claws extending from his hands and sharp canines gleaming in the open.

He charged towards Nicodemus with fury coursing through his veins. He was ready to shred the immature Tribrid into pieces.

Nicodemus grabbed him by the neck with a sinful smile.

"I told you, your death is inevitable!" He growled before twisting the neck.
