MasukElla's POV
I quickly ate the food in front of me, before they changed their mind and came and took it away. After a while, the same maid came in to take the empty plates. I decided to lay down for a little while, but the thought of Brandon and Mary kept popping in my head. "How can he..."
The knock on the door broke my thoughts, I quickly jumped up from the bed, and used my hand to straighten the part I laid on.
The door opened and Alpha Jacob walked in. I immediately bowed my head.
"I guess you feel better now?" he asked softly.
I nodded and replied, "yes I do. Thank you sir."
He moved closer and sat on the empty seat close to the bed. "So how do you like your room?"
“Th…this room is mine?” I stuttered staring at him
“Of course…don't you like it…if you don't like it, I can ask them to change…”
“I like it sir,” I said immediately cutting him off. "It's very beautiful sir. I…I” tears fell uncontrollably from my eyes.
“Oh no…don't cry,” he said standing up to comfort me. “Come,” he continued “Sit.”
I nodded, using the back of my hand to wipe my tears, as I sat at the edge of the bed.
He stared at me for a while, cleared his throat and said. "I don't know what your story is, and you don't have to share it with me if you don't want to, but for Margret to ask me to help you, you must be a very good person, and I owe Margaret a lot."
He took a deep breath and then continued. "Tell me, what is one thing you have always wanted? If you could ask for one thing, what would it be?"
I slowly raised my head, wondering why he would ask me such a question. If I could ask for one thing, it would be that Brandon wouldn't deny me, it would be that my sister wouldn't take what was suppose to be mine. It would be that I wasn't pregnant for a man who just made mockery of me. But that can't happen. Who am I to even be wishful.
"I'm waiting for your answer," Alpha Jacob said, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"I...I have always wanted to go to school." I stuttered, gripping the hem of my gown.
His lips curled into a smile. "Education," he repeated as he stood up from his chair moving closer to me. "Smart girl.”

Nine Years Later, Spain
"I object, Your Honour, my client is innocent!"
The judge looks up, surprised. "On what grounds?"
"Your Honour," I say calmly, "the evidence is circumstantial, and the witness statements contradict each other. There is no proof linking my client to the crime."
The prosecutor frowns, fumbling through papers.
“After reviewing the facts and cross-examining the witnesses, it’s clear: the prosecution cannot prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.”
The judge nods. "Verdict: Not Guilty."
I smile and said, "Justice is served."
"Congratulations Ma," my PA Rose said smiling, taking my bag from my hand. "Another win, you really are the best."
My lips curled into a smile, "No one comes close."
I had become the best lawyer in the country. Never ever have I lost any case. With my knowledge and my skill in manipulating the courtroom, I have received so many awards as the best attorney. No matter what the crime is, I can make a sinner look like a saint.
"You have a meeting by 6pm Ma, and then the dinner party by 8pm." Rose continued.
I have lived a very secret life since I got here, no one knows my true identity. I have managed to blend perfectly with humans, that sometimes I even forget who I am.
I smiled staring at Rose, she has been a God sent to me. "Thank you Rose, is that all?" I replied.
"Yeah I think so," she stuttered, as she ran through the agenda on her ipad. "Oh before I forget, Robin has a recital tomorrow."
"Oh my goodness," I slightly pressed my palm on my forehead. "I almost forgot. Thank goodness you reminded me, I can't afford to miss this. Remember last time?"
Rose gave me a nervous smile, "Of course, that can't easily be forgotten."
"Please cancel every appointment I have for tomorrow. Tomorrow is for my baby and I don't want any distractions." I continued.
"Yes ma," she nodded as we got into the car.
Nine years ago, the moon goddess blessed me with the most beautiful boy. I can still remember the first day I held him in my hands, and when he squeezed my finger, I knew my whole life had changed. And in that moment I vowed to dedicate my life to making him happy. He is the reason I work this hard. He would never go through what I had to go through in life.
Twenty minutes later, I was walking into the house and straight to his room. I stood by his door, staring lost at him, wondering how someone like me, could produce someone as pure, and beautiful as him.
He was so lost in his game that he didn't even notice me. "Hmmmm," I cleared my throat announcing my presence.
"Mama," his eyes lit up when he saw me. And that...that spark in his eyes whenever he sees me, gives me this joy I can't explain.
"Hey baby, I see you're busy with your game," I said as I wrapped my arms around him. "I heard someone has a recital tomorrow, are we ready?"
"Of course I am ready," he replied clinging to me. "Hope you will be there this time around?" he asked with his eyes narrowing.
I stared at him for a while, then burst into laughter, "Of course I will be there. I promise you."
"You better." he continued smiling.
"Yes sir," I replied as I stood up to leave. "I have a meeting in the next few minutes, but I promise you tomorrow I'm all yours."
His lips curved into a smile, "I love you Mama."
"I love you too, my ray of sunshine."
My face was all smiles as I walked into my room to get ready for my meeting. Coming home to Robin is always my favourite part of the day.
I opened my wardrobe, looking for the perfect outfit. I needed to look classy and confident, that is my logo. I settled for a black mid length straight gown, and a red stiletto heels. The perfect combo for me.
"Miss Ella," the house keeper called from the door. "You have a call."
"Thank you Gladis," I replied as I took the phone from her. I waited for her to walk away before I answered it. I looked at the caller ID, and it showed Richard my adoptive brother.
Nine years ago, after I told Alpha Jacob that I wanted to go to school,he was very proud of my choice. He told me education was key, and he was going to send me to school, but not in this country, in a foreign country, where I can gain better exposure. But before that, he adopted me as his daughter, and introduced me to Richard his son.
"Hello Richard," I greeted cheerfully.
"Hey sis,” he replied.
I could feel the dullness in his tone.
“Is everything okay?” I asked curiously.
“Papa just passed away," he said slowly. Richard’s words hit me like a hammer to the head.
"What?" I screamed, my voice breaking as my knees gave way. I crashed to the ground, my heart shattering. Hot tears streamed down my face.
"You need to come home." He added.
His voice sounded distant, unreal. My chest tightened as I clutched the floor, gasping for air. Papa couldn’t be gone. This had to be a nightmare. But the silence on the other end of the line told me the truth I wasn’t ready to accept.
Ella's POV "Yes," he responded. "just one dinner date."I sighed and got up, picking up my handbag, "Thank you, but no thanks, I will find a way and if you're lying about this, I'll be back for you."As I turned to leave, he stood up immediately and ran in front of me. "Listen Ella, I'm really sorry about how cheesy I sound, but I really... really like you. I have liked you from the first day I saw you. I'm very bad at expressing my feelings, but please just go on this dinner date with me, and if you don't like it, I will never bother you again. I promise."I stared at him for a while, I could see the sincerity in his eyes, but I wasn't ready to get involved with any man. All my focus is on Robin. But I have never been on a date before, it won't be bad to know what it feels like.I cleared my throat, "Fine... but just because I need the name.""Thank you," he replied smiling. "Tomorrow, 7 pm. I will text you the address."I looked at him curiously, "But you don't have my number.""Oh
Ella's POV "Please sit," he said, pointing at the empty chair in front of me.I was too confused to say anything, I just stared at him, and sat down.He studied me for a while and then said, " It looks like the universe keeps bringing us together…like we are meant to be.”I scoffed and murmured to myself, “Universe my ass.”“What did you say?” He asked, leaning forward.“Nothing,” I replied, shaking my head. How exactly is he the Alpha, he doesn't look like an alpha. He looks like a carefree Playboy.I couldn't hold it in anymore, I had to ask, “How exactly are you an alpha…you look too…”“Handsome,” he cut me off laughing.I rolled my eyes and scoffed. He was handsome, I will give him that, but that shouldn't make his head swell.“No,” I responded. “Carefree and ordinary.”He let out a loud laugh. “Exactly what I was going for.”I didn't say a word, I just stared at him."And lemme ask you, if I had told you I was Alpha Eric at the exhibition, would you have believed me? Wouldn't yo
Ella's Pov I shut the door behind me, and walked in angrily. “Is everything okay?” Richard asked rushing out, “I heard voices,” his eyes peeping out the window, but Brandon had already left. “Who was that?” Richard continued. “Who was that where?” I asked as if I didn't know what he was talking about. “Who were you talking to?” “Nobody important, just someone that lost his way. I need to go pick Robin up from school, we'll talk later.” And with that I walked away, avoiding more questions. “This was exactly what I was trying to avoid,” I murmured to myself in the back seat of the car. “Robin is mine, and nobody will share him with me. It's his audacity for me…I will do anything to protect my son.” “Mama,” Robin screamed as he hugged me. “My face lit up instantly. “How was school?” I asked as I opened the car door for him. “It was fun Mama…awesome. “That's nice…so have you thought of a theme for your upcoming birthday party?” “No Mama, I'm still thinking, don't worry bef
Ella's pov One Week Later “The women in the pack have been singing your praises, since you helped one of them with her domestic violence case…Good job.” Richard said, patting my back. I smiled and responded, “It's what I do.” “Hmmm…just this little complement, see how big your head has become,” Richard teased. I hit him lightly on his arm. “You have started ooo. See who is saying someone's head is big, have you looked at yourself in the mirror…who do you even look like, because Papa was a very handsome man, and the pictures I have seen of mom, she looks so beautiful. But you…? He let out a loud laugh, “nice come back, don't worry, I’ll get you.” “You can't do nothing.” I replied, teasing him. “I hope you know you will be joining me at the office next week. It's high time you start coming there and you need to start attending council meetings too.” “Me! Council meetings…what exactly am I suppose to be doing there, I'm not the Alpha, you are.” “This is our pack,” he replied,
Ella's POV He just stared at me smiling, like the whole incident excited him. "I'm so sorry," I apologized. "I didn't mean to...I..." "It's fine," he cut me off smiling. "I like a bold woman," he continued. "A woman not scared to say what's on her mind." He smiled, staring deep at me. "After all it doesn't hurt to have a critic... it actually means, "I'm that good." I was so embarrassed, I didn't even have the right words to say. Fuck! Richard will chew me up. This mouth of mine..when do I learn that everywhere isn't a courtroom. "My name is Maestro, what's yours?" he asked, extending his hand. I sure as hell aren't telling him who I am. So what do I tell him? "I...." "Mastero,” a voice from behind called him. He turned to a young lady, she whispered something in his ears, he nodded, she smiled and walked away. "I'm so sorry I have to be excused,” he said , “but we aren't done here. Please don't leave, I want us to talk some more. I nodded and put up a fake smile on my face.
Ella's POV Saturday Evening "You look very beautiful Mama," Robin said smiling, his eyes filled with admiration. His words melted my heart. "Thanks baby," I replied, moving closer to him, and cupping his face. "Make sure you don't give your nanny a hard time... okay?" He nodded, smiled and walked away. I slowly walked back to the mirror, admiring myself. My blue gown looked amazing on me, complementing my eyes. The stylist had convinced me to wrap my hair up, and I must say, it looks very good on me. "I really can't wait for this exhibition to be over, I have never been a fan of art," I whispered to myself, as I used my right thumb to clean up a little lipstick stain. I took a deep breath, staring lost at the mirror. "Richard... see how you're stressing me out."I murmured to myself. Well, all I need to do is show up, stay for a few minutes and leave. The vibration of my phone broke my thoughts. I picked it up, and stared at the caller ID...My PA "Good day Ma,"
Ella's POV “I can’t Richard. I can’t stay back here.” I snapped, my hands clenched tightly at my sides as I took a step back. “What do you mean by you can’t stay back here…are you saying you want to disobey father’s wish?” he asked, folding his arms across his chest and staring hard at me. “
Brandon's pov "I can't believe that was Ella," I whispered to myself, with my brows furrowing as I loosened my tie and flung it onto the bed. "But how exactly did she become the daughter of Alpha Jacob..." I muttered, pacing slowly across the room, dragging a hand over my face. "And see how goo
Ella’s POV"Uncle," Robin waved. "Mama, this is the uncle that was playing with me.""Uncle," I murmured to myself as I turned to get a view of the person. My eyes widened as it locked with the person in front of me. "Brandon!" I whispered inside. My legs felt weak, my eyes felt like it was seeing
