It was morning already. Emma had barely closed her eyes. Her gaze was fixated on her sister through the night, She didn't want to miss her waking up without being there.

"She is still not up," Emma said, as she held her sister's hands. Turning towards their mum.

"Hopefully, before the day ends."

"I miss her."

"I do, too," Her mum said, in a tired voice. She hadn't gone home in two days. Having had a night shift before Helen came in. She was extremely tired but she wanted to be there for her daughter.

"Mum, you should go home," Emma said.

"No, I am fine."

"You haven't been home since. I got here just few hours ago. I will be fine taking care of Helen myself. Go home, get some rest, eat and sleep."

"Are you sure?" Her mum asked, finally giving into the request.

"Yes, I am. I am a big girl, you know," Emma said and her mum smiled.

She kissed Helen on her forehead, then did the same to Emma. "Love you."

"Love you too, mum."
