Helen looked at Eric's facial expression. She knew he had been expecting a better response and she wished she had it for him.

"She liked you a lot," Helen said as she stared at him.

Eric looked up from what he had been doing.

"She always talked about you. She wouldn't stop telling me about the cute guy she met. She said you were smart, nice and cool. She always looked forward to you meeting," Helen said smiling as she remembered all the days Emma spoke about Eric.

"She was so nervous to tell you how she felt. She wasn't sure that you felt the same and on the day you kissed her!! She wouldn't stop talking about it," Helen said and Eric smiled too as memories of He and Emma flooded his head again.

"I love her and I haven't even been able to say it to her. I hope it's not late because now it seems like there is nothing I can do,"

"I had never seen her so broken like the day she found out you were getting married. She was always so strong, always looked after everyone but herself and I really wished she didn't have to go through that."

"I wished she never had too. Emma is such a wonderful person and I wish I had more time to tell her how amazing she is as a person and a writer and that I will always root for her."

"She changed even more after the visit,"

"What visit?" Eric asked but before Helen could say anything else, Helen's phone beeped, she picked it up to see who it was from and it was George.

She looked up, her face had fallen and sadness was written all over it.

"Who is that? You look distressed," Eric said.

"It's from George," she said.

"What did he say?"

"He said the evidence is gone and there is nothing they can do. That was the last thing we had, the only piece of evidence." Helen said, devastated by all that was happening.

"Let me try to make a few calls and see if I can be of any help," Eric said picking up his phone.

******************************

As Eric drove home, his mind wouldn't stop playing the conversation he and Helen had and also the last part of it. What visit was she talking about? Who visited?

Eric was also not able to help with the evidence and the house had been all gloomy before he left. He wished he had been able to help but there was nothing.

He knew there was nothing that he could do to help, even though he wished that there was.

Helen's night was filled with her mum counsoling her about how everything was going to be fine.

She had just finished speaking with Emma also who wished she was around, to at least make her feel better.

Henry got home from where he had gone to pick up the groceries. Emma had been in the room all day, just like she had been for the past few weeks. She had been trying to finish up the book.

Henry stopped by to pick the mails. He brought them out and saw that there was another letter from Eric to Emma.

It was the third he had received and he was doing everything possible to keep it from Emma. He was hiding them in one of the drawers in his room and knew that Emma would never get there.

He picked the mails and entered into the house.

"Emma, I brought dinner," he said. as he dropped the rest of the things into the fridge.

Henry suddenly heard the door of her room open. As she came out of the room.

"I finished," She said, excitedly.

"You did it, you really did," Henry said, as he pulled her in for a hug.

"I told you that you could."

"Thanks for everything," Emma said.

"Why don't we go out to eat," Henry suggested. "My treat," he added with a smile.

"Fine," Emma said smiling.

"Once you become New York Times best selling author, you can pay me back then," Henry said and they both chuckled.

"What's that?" Emma asked, walking towards the table. The mails were on it.

Henry rushed towards the table, preventing her from getting to the mails.

"It's the mails," he said, picking them up from the table.

"Is there any for me?" Emma asked.

"Not at all," Henry said and then Emma went in.

"Give me a few minutes to get dressed," she said and then went it.

She was glad that she finally finished the novel. It was the first novel she was finishing in her life and she was really excited for it.

The ending of the book had been hard for her but she found her way around it and created an ending she would have wished happened between her and Eric.

The story had started because of him in the first place. The story was a bit about the both of them and she had wanted to conclude it with what happened between both of them

But she didn't want a sad ending for her book and so had made an ending for it.

Henry was glad that Emma didn't see the mails. He wouldn't have known what to do and especially since that wasn't the first one of it.

She would be so angry with him about lying to her and he wouldn't want anything that would push her back to Eric.

"I am ready," Emma said, coming all dressed in a black dress with her hair packed in a bun.

"You look beautiful, you are beautiful," Henry said, as he moved closer to her.

They were so close now and she could feel his breath on her skin.

He looked into her eye staring at her and it was all becoming so intense.

Henry wished he could hold her and kiss her. He wished she would give him such privilege and would feel for him what he felt for her.

"We should go," Emma said, turning her gaze away from him and picking up her bag.
