What and How

I open my eyes, looking around the room, groggy and still tired. “Good morning beautiful.” Devin's voice calls out and I turn my attention toward the bathroom. He stands in place, smiling at me only wearing a towel.

“Good morning,” I mumble and slide my head against the warm and plush pillow. “How did you sleep, babe?”

“You snored.” He admits, reaching for a cup of coffee sitting on the nightstand near the bathroom door. “I was up a lot, thanks to McKenzie and her ‘evening buddy’ and the walls in this mansion should be a hell of a lot more soundproof.”

“Were they that loud?” I ask, sitting up, running my hand through my hair and wiping my eyes out with my other hand. “I didn’t even know they had a room up here.”

“You do now.” He says as I hear a light tapping behind my head. “Hear it?”
