The incessant ringing of the phone woke up Anya. She tried to make it go away by pressing her ears hard against the pillow but it didn't seem to work. She waited for the phone to stop ringing as she thought Ronan would eventually pick it up. After a few more rings, she groaned and slowly pulled her blanket down and squinted through her eyes.
