2. Unexpected betrayal.

~Beatrice POV~

*Flashback*

I walked into the room of Alpha Lord and sat down on the bed, as I stared at his perfect features while he was still sleeping.

No matter what, I am determined to seduce him today. It's either now or never.

Enchanted by his looks, I brought my face closer to kiss his thin lips as I heard him mutter, "Riella" in his sleep.

But before my lips could get to his, he abruptly yanked my hands off his chest and pushed me off the bed. I landed on the hard floor as my butt hit the floor.

"Ouch! My butt!" I winced in pain as I stood up innocently but my red stilettos gave way and I fell down again.

Alpha Lord grabbed my chin ferociously as he warned, "Don't you ever dare do this again! I belong to my mate and no one else!"

With that, he stormed out of the room.

"Damn it!" I cursed. I made sure to wear my most attractive red gown and shoes but it's all a waste now!

I always wonder who his mate, Riella was and if she even existed.

With raging anger, I changed out of my dress to a casual one and left his mansion to my best friend, Gab's packhouse.

"I have decided to see the face of my nemesis. The one who is stopping my Alpha from loving me. I must see her. And wherever she is, I will find her and crush her to pieces!"

That was what I concluded on doing. I had no choice but to do the unthinkable, cos it's giving me headache, Gab tried stopping me but I have made my decision.

Coming back from Gab's packhouse, I met my Alpha asleep and went on to inject him with the sleeping drug I always had with me in case.

Even if it won't work for longer than some minutes as he's an Immortal Alpha, I know I still have a chance.

I took another injection and drew out his blood, taking it to his hidden, ancient closet he always visited at night.

I unlocked the closet with his blood and it opened instantly, showing a large ancient picture of the artwork of a lady.

The face I saw made me gasp in shock. It turned out my best friend, Gab, was his one and only mate, his Long Lost Luna, the one who he always called his ‘Riella.’

Gab... Riella... Gabriella?! So the one he always called Riella was actually Gabriella?!

I became really crazy and ran out of the house, heading to no where in particular.

But all of a sudden, I saw her.

My Rival.

Gab... Or should I say Gabriella was coming to me with a caring and concerned look like she is miss goody.

"Impossible." My wolf growled in me and was almost surfacing.

*Present*

The first idea that came to my mind was to end her existence—KILL HER— right that second and I did just that; I lured her to the cliff and she goofily followed me.

My eyes moved to the necklace around her neck that the Gabriella in the picture also was wearing. In fury, I immediately grabbed the necklace and cut it off her neck and pushed her down the cliff.

But the moment the necklace entered my hands, I felt my whole body burning; especially my face. The necklace was emitting a dark smoke as it enveloped my face and my face continued burning.

Due to the pain, I slipped and fell off the cliff to meet Gabriella.

I woke up the next day as I had the ability to speedily recover since I'm a stronger werewolf. I touched my face and saw it was wrapped with bandages, the doctor told me I was found beneath the cliff with a burnt face and that Gabriella was still alive but in coma.

I remember her face breaking on a glass as I pushed her off the cliff. Our faces were both completely destroyed and I so badly need to be her. That was when the thought came up.

The necklace is in my hands now, and she's in a coma, I need to act fast.

Two weeks was enough for me to get a plastic surgeon to swap our faces.

"Give me the face of the lady that was brought together with me doctor." I said looking at his face he was not ready to comply.

"Miss do you realize what you're asking me to do now is an abomination? It's against my pledge as a doctor and I will never do that!" He exclaimed very surprised at my request.

I knew he will be reluctant since he is only a weak human so I smirked devilishly and brought out my wolf claws, my eyes turned orange and I almost transformed in his presence.

His expression was filled with terror and horror as he looked like he'd just seen a ghost.

"I know you can do it, doc. Give me that face," My voice sounds like a threat as he had no choice.

And that was how I risked it all to get this face, even though the surgeon was only experienced in making ugly faces look better with his surgery but...

Alas!

Here I am, with the face and necklace of Alpha Lord's Luna, his Riella, the only person that can ever make him change from his never-ending stone-cold attitude.

I gazed at my new face in the mirror again. My life is surely going to take a different turn from now on.

I can't wait to see Alpha Lord's reaction when he sees me.

~Gabriella's POV~

*Crack!*

*Shatter!*

Sounded the toilet mirror as I smashed it with my hands and broke it into pieces. Blood flowed out of my hands but I didn't care; even the broken pieces that pierced into my toe skin as I fell to the floor didn't bother me.

Tears came out of my eyes unstoppably.

I just can't keep seeing that demon's face and call it mine. But, how come? Why did Beatrice steal my face and give me hers? What's going on here? What happened when I was unconscious? Is this connected to her sudden change of mood after leaving the house?

My teary eyes saw a large, broken piece of the mirror on the floor and her face showed again.

"Arrghhhh!!!!!" I yelled and threw the piece to a far end, pain consuming my entire being.

I've always known Beatrice to be a really aggressive and daring girl but little did I expect that she would turn into a monster and go to this length for whatever reason she had.

I crossed my hands against my chest and couldn't feel my necklace. It was missing.

I checked my neck thoroughly but it wasn't there; the necklace my Alpha gave to me was missing.

Did it fall on the floor? I stood up and check the whole restroom but couldn't see it.

Oh no, that was the most precious thing to me in the whole world. I can't lose it.

I ran out of the toilet to the ward and checked but still couldn't see it.

"Gab, do you mind checking the hospital's waiting room?" Neon, my wolf said within me. Her tone was sad and remorseful and it looked like she had also been sharing the exact kind of pain I've been feeling all this while.

I knew she was not in the mood else she would have started growling and grumbling about how she always warned me to stay off Beatrice. Neon, my wolf, never once liked her and kept telling me she senses bad vibes coming from her. I guess I now understand what she's been telling me.

Taking my shaky legs to the waiting room, I felt my heart heavily thumping against my chest.

I wondered what the unusual heartbeat was for as it increased the more I stepped into the waiting room.

Suddenly, my eyes spotted a man standing at the counter with a lady, his broad back alone seemed really familiar, the type I can never forget even in ages to come.

He turned to shake the doctor as his full silhouette came into view.

My body shook and I had to step back one pace.

Oh moon goddess, is this really happening? Or am I in one of my frequent hallucinations? Am I actually seeing him after all these centuries?!

My Alpha Sebastian?!

The one I have been longing to see; my past, current and forever love.

Hot tears made its way out of my eyes and trickled down my cheeks as I stared at him. He glanced at me as we locked eyes with each other and I smiled with lots of emotion in that painful smile.

I ran happily and hugging him as tightly as ever. Even my wolf was squealing with joy inside me.

"Alpha... It's me!" I said with happiness.

But I didn't remain in that position for more than a minute as he immediately pushed me off him aggressively as I fell to the floor and hit my head on a bench.

"Ah..." I winced in pain, surprise and confusion as to why he did that to me.

At the same time, the lady who was with him turned and held hands with him.

"Huh!" I gasped. That... was my face.....

Hold on a second... Beatrice????

Wait, hold on again... What's going on here?

I held my mouth in shock as realization struck me hard.

Her Alpha Lord... Is my Alpha Sebastian, it was my painting in the artwork that she found in his closet, and she found out that I was the one who he was longing for... His fated mate, his irreplaceable Luna.

Her crazy obsessive love over him took control over her mind and made her plot to kill me. It probably didn't work so she resorted to exchanging faces; taking my face and giving me hers.

I gently stood up and walked towards her slowly.

"You... how should I even address you? How could you do this to me? We were supposed to be best of friends, weren't we? So where's this betrayal coming from? You stole my life and left me to live miserably.... How could you? What on Earth have I done to receive such treatment from you? Answer me.... Answer me, Trixie!"

I said in a voice as cracking as an eggshell and I was breaking into tears again.

Sebastian was confused as he partly glared at me and partly wanted to believe what I said.

But looking at his fake Luna's face which was supposed to be mine, the part that wanted to believe me disappeared as he glared hostilely at me for insulting her.

"What are you saying? Huh? Do I know you?" Started the innocently coy voice of Beatrice. "Look Alpha I really don't know who this lady is or what she's talking about. Please let's leave here, I'm afraid I might have a migraine if I stand for too long again," Beatrice said.

Beatrice's voice was so soft and convincing that I almost thought it was truly me speaking. The only difference between the both of us now is that she's wearing a red silk short gown and 12 cm stilettos which was also red. I never fancied such dresses even in my past life.

Sebastian believed her and unexpectedly for me, he dragged me like a slave as I fell to the ground and groaned in pain. His hands were tightly locked to my own as I wondered what he wanted to do.
