LOGINRowan's POV
My fingers shook in horror as I stared, my soul struck with fear that spread like wild fire and consumed me immediately. But it was strange, as if radiating a sort of energy towards me and never burned me. It felt surreal and unbelievable, but I knew this wasn't a dream, I just didn't understand what kind of madness or hallucinations my mind was making up. I tried to calm myself and reached out to the flames and like a magnet, it tried to coil around my hand, and I couldn't feel its heat, but I quickly yanked my hand away, my breath hitched in my throat, my soul heavy with terror. However, I didn't stop, this was too good to be true and impossible to leave. I tried again, this time with both hands and the fire recoiled again around the both of them like I was some fire god or something. Just then, the air shifted and heavy thudding shook the ground as footsteps approached from the hallway and burst into my room at once. Mom and Dad rushed in as I consumed this strange energy, my eyes shut, enjoying the fantasy of being able to control flames as it moved all over my soul. I turned to them and instead of rushing to see if I was hurt or what sort of madness was going on as they could see, they stood there, unable to move, mouths widened and eyes narrowed, arms folded in pure horror and deep shock at the amazingly strange sight of the flame around me. I studied them carefully, still allowing the flames to coil around my hand and it was written all over their faces without a doubt. They didn't seem shocked by the flames, instead, they were filled with dread, like they knew all about it and why it was happening. Mom shivered violently and finally broke down, dropping to the ground in tears as she muttered the words. “It…has finally awakened, they will take him away from us!” She sobbed, wailing loudly and pounding her hand against the ground. “It's alright.” Dad's soft voice consoled. He leaned in and held her close to his side, patting and comforting her as she sobbed heavily in his arms. But I needed answers because clearly, I was the confused one here. First, I dream about a weirdo like those things I read about and wake up with flames around me and somehow, I can control it and now, they're talking about taking me away? “What has awakened?” I demanded immediately, my eyes narrowed. “Who will take me away? What's going on? Why won't the fire hurt me? You knew all about it right, that's why none of you are surprised.” My brows were raised in confusion and my mind raced with thoughts and anger. Dad stood up slowly and ripped his necklace at once, taking off the silver pendant that was finely engraved with a crescent moon and waved it at the fire and everything just vanished, like poof. So all these years, my parents possessed supernatural artifacts, despite claiming to be ordinary humans and making me read about those things like I was some crazy lunatic. My breath was heavy as I stood there, my jaws tightened and my fingers dug deep into my fist until crest wounds formed on my palm and I felt blood. My eyes burned with rage as I tapped my feet gently, waiting for the explanation of this whole madness. “Rowan, you have to know, we lied to you from the beginning…” “You what?!” The words escaped my lips before I even processed it. “How could you do that to me all these years?” A tear drop escaped my eye as I held my temple that was instantly attached by a splitting headache. “We hid these things from you to keep you safe,” Dad calmly explained, taking slow steps towards me, his hand raised for me to calm down. “The truth would place a target on you and you were never ill. I'm sorry,” he admitted and held my hand as I sobbed painfully. All my life, I had lived a lie, and they watched me suffer in this room, living in misery claiming to protect me. “Rowan…” “Don't touch me!” I yanked him away from me and was about to run off when a loud alarm burst throughout the estate, disrupting the fragile peace. The whole place shook in chaos as all the guards ran to various corners, grabbing weapons I had never seen before and burst through the door, faces terrified. “Lord Damon, the outer security has been breached, several guards have been knocked unconscious,” he let out the words, panting heavily. My eyes narrowed at my parents who immediately became protective as if they knew exactly who the intruder was. It was at this point that I realized that all these years, they had hidden far more than just this illness cover and I had a lot to learn else I'll be doomed. Someone powerful that they were clearly terrified of had tracked me down on this strange night of my mysterious power awakening and Dad seemed to recognize who it was as he peeped from the window, panting heavily, making me fear the danger was far greater than I had imagined. Just then, another guard burst in, jolting everyone up to their feets, his face pale with fear and was barely able to breathe. "Master... they're here." Who are these, “they,” they've been talking about. Before I could ask who they were, deep voices echoed from outside the estate, just like what I heard in my dream, making the whole thing even more strange. "To think the moon priest escaped the massacre and even bore the Moonborn Omega." The voice spat. Moonborn Omega, the one I read about? The room was immediately struck with absolute silence and my parents exchanged terrified glances at each other. I had never seen such a look in their eyes all my life. What was really going on?Rowan's POV My eyes flipped open and I jerked sharply. The rough ground brushed against my skin as I regained consciousness, my hand tightly wrapped around the crescent moon pendant. My eyes darted around the whole place, staring at the dense forest in horror and shock.“Mom! Dad!” My voice echoed loudly into the far distance, and I got no response. How did I even get here? But the memory of how I vanished and left them crashed back at once and there and then, I realized, I was alone in this damning forest.I dropped to the ground in tears, remembering the bloody battle and my shattered heart pounded against my chest. It was all my fault. If only I hadn't awakened, I wouldn't have brought the disaster upon my family and maybe, I was a curse after all.But a soft light glowed in my hand and I looked calmly at it. The pendant had changed, the once dull silver now glowed faintly in the moonlight, as if it had awakened, alongside me.My stomach churned and hunger beat my body into exhau
Rowan's POV My whole life was more than a lie, it was dangerous and I couldn't believe they hid all of these things from me.The White Alpha Wolf charged at once at the cloaked warriors with terrifying speed, almost like she moved like a ghost, tearing them apart with ease.My disbelief increased as I couldn't believe how effortlessly my mother had hidden such immense power all these years. However, the attackers also transformed into wolves as well, revealing they were elite warriors and not just ordinary werewolves. I knew everything about werewolves according to the books, and even though mom was a White Alpha Wolf, it would be difficult for her alone to fight them all off. They were trained and elite assassins by how deadly their wolves looked. My heart pounded so hard everyone in the room could hear it. But that was just the beginning. Dad let out a loud cry and drew out an ancient silver spear from nothing, engraved with the Moon Goddess runes, the sacred weapon of a Moon Pries
Rowan's POV Fear enveloped everyone in the room as we quickly hid by corners, holding onto anything that could serve as a weapon while we all trembled. My teeth gnashed loudly and shivers ran down my spine as I listened keenly.“We know you have the child, so don't try to play heroes tonight,” the voice warned, echoing deeply and sending more chilling sensations all over my body.Which child? Me?But this wasn't the time to ask questions.“What do you want?” Dad asked slowly.“Just give us the Moonborn Omega, and no one would be hurt,” the voice replied, this time, somewhat calmer.Moonborn Omega? That's the story I was reading about today and it's just fiction. What in God's name is he talking about? However, tonight, everything I had known was a blur and I couldn't differentiate what was real from my imaginations anymore.“Mei,” Dad called immediately, his voice low and deep with fear. “Take Rowan and run, I'll buy you some time,” he stated, his voice firm with determination. But I

Rowan's POV The warm air of the study filled the air, the soft flickering lamp illuminated the room as the soft flipping sound of papers disturbed the silence. My eyes scanned the scroll thoroughly, unable to really grasp what it meant.“A moon born Omega?” I raised an eyebrow. It said here about an old legend of the Moon born Omega, born once every thousand years, believed to be capable of a lot more than being just blessed by the mood goddess. This was new, and really interesting.Hmmm. I leaned back on the chair, reading further and my eyes stopped at a particular paragraph.“If the moon born was a male, he would be capable of child birth.” A soft, forced chuckle escaped my lips. What a load of crap! These stories were interesting, but this particular one was crazy. But it didn't stop me and I read further and it said that a thousand years ago, after the death of the last moon born Omega, every record of the Moonborn legacy vanished.Hmmm, well, that was more than enough reason
