LOGINDaniel Jones
My hand curled tighter into her hair. Fuck, what was her name? Her blonde curls draped over my dark fingers. One thing about the white women in Washington? They love a good-looking black man.
I pulled her head back, forcing a deeper arch from her hips, sending me deeper inside her. She cries out, her fingers taking hold of the pink bedsheets. Who has pink bed sheets? "Focus, Jesus."
"Oh God, Daniel!" Damn it, now I feel like an asshole for not remembering her name. Jessica? I thrust harder, feeling her tighten around me. Tiffany?
"God, I'm gunna-" she cries out just as I feel her spasming around me. I feel myself ache at the same time, so I slam into her harder, pushing myself over the edge.
"Fuck, Maddy," I groan, releasing myself inside the thin condom between us. There's a moment of silence between us, but before I can pull out, she cranes her neck to look at me.
"Who the fuck is Maddy?"
Fuck.
"What? I didn't say Maddy. I said baby," I say, trying as hard as I can to keep a straight face and not give myself away.
It doesn't matter, because she is off the bed in three seconds flat, slamming the bathroom door behind her. I look down at the abused condom, internally kicking myself for making the mistake. Usually I can get a good hookup from the same woman at least a few times.
My phone dings from the floor where it had fallen in our rush. Swiping it open, I see a text from Mitch, my Beta. He's been gone for two weeks working out breed-week negotiations with a pack in Louisiana.
"Last flight, be there in an hour."
Tossing the used plastic into the garbage, I collect my clothes and quietly close the door behind me on the way out the back door. I don't bother getting redressed. Instead, I let my fur and paws crack and stretch into place for taking my belongings into my mouth. The residents in the outskirts of Seattle see wolves all the time. They won't question one or two running into the woods every once in a while. Or every couple of times...a week.
The pack house is buzzing when I make it back. There's music blaring from inside the main house, some people half naked with alcohol in their hands, and others already shifted. There are shouts and laughs from every corner of the house as I walk through it, greeting my pack with a smile and small talk while heading for my room.
Someone whistles long and slow before I can make it to the door, and I turn to see Virginia dragging her eyes down my exposed body. I do the same to her while she saunters towards me.
"Looks like someone had fun tonight." She smirks, dragging her hand down my abs, taking hold of my shaft that has already stiffened for her.
"Just out for a run," I tell her with a sly smile. She squeezes, and I can't help but groan.
"How about you run with a wolf for the rest of the night? Mundy's are so..." She leans in, swiping her tongue beneath my ear.
"Boring."
Compared to her? Yeah, everyone was boring. Virginia has straight blonde hair that reaches the bottom of her back, striking blue eyes, and a body that only a wolf could have. Strong, smooth, and completely flawless.
I push her backwards, caging her to the wall with my arms, crashing my lips against hers. She tastes like strawberries. My hands push at her yoga pants, stripping her of them in seconds, followed by her tank top and bra.
Without prompting, she hooks her arms behind my neck and snakes her legs around my waist. With her back against the wall, I slide into her easily. The moment she sits fully on me, I pause, listening to her soft moan.
"You're a naughty man," she tells me, pulling at the ends of my cornrows, scratching her nails against my neck.
"I'm your Alpha." I thrust against her hard.
"You're my mate," she whimpers. Normally, if I wasn't inside her, I would tell her to drop the mate talk. Unfortunately, the full moon, the loud music, and the onlookers watching our actions have me speechless. I cup one of her breasts in my hand, pinching her nipple with force.
"You know better," I tell her quietly in her ear, pinching and twisting her tender skin until she cries out.
"That's our Alpha! Hell yeah," someone shouts from behind me, and I pump into her faster. Stroke after stroke until I feel her hot fluids dripping onto the dark hardwood floor beneath us. I release myself inside of her, feeling every inch of her twitch around me.
Before I allow her to stand, I pull her chin between my fingers.
"Don't say shit like that to me." My teeth grit together tightly when I put her down, satisfyingly seeing her struggle to stand at first.
"I've got to pick up Mitch from the airport. Don't wait up for the run," I tell her, and the others who watched the encounter.
Lazily, I change into grey sweatpants and a white tank top. Once I am cleaned up, changed, and no longer reeking of sex, I all but sprint out to the SUV. Checking my watch, I feel the wheels of the car spin out in the driveway when I leave in a hurry. Of course I couldn't keep it in my pants long enough to stay on time for one thing.
Luckily, Mitch's airplane lands late, and I have enough time to grab two burgers from an overpriced airport restaurant before I see him walking from the terminal. His shoulder accidentally bumps into a young woman who nearly goes flying in the opposite direction on impact. I glance over at her to see if she's alright.
Mitch greets me with a tight hug, like we haven't seen each other in years, but I can't even focus on him. The moment my eyes lock with hers, I can't look away. My chest starts to warble affectionately, and I clear my throat to conceal the sound. Dragging my nose into the air, I take a deep breath, hardly catching her scent hidden behind men's sweat and old women's ointments.
My mate.
She's my mate...and a fucking Mundy.
Chapter 15: The ApologyClarissa Herrington My hands cover my face as I push as far back as possible, my back against the corner. I can feel my body shaking and my teeth clenching. My sobs come out violently, but they don't feel like mine. It's uncontrollable. Every impact, every fist against flesh, my body flinches. My stomach aches. My ears ring. Every single hit feels like it's on my skin, and I tuck myself further into a ball. "Alpha!" I hear the word but it sounds like it's under water. There's more speaking, more yelling, but I can't make out anything over the sound of my breathing that has turned into something horrible. My side aches, and I can almost feel the blood pooling along my skin again. The feeling of the knife being removed just before the medication made it numb. A hot hand touches my exposed leg, and I scream. There's no subtly in the scream. My lungs burn with it, and my stomach cramps from the expulsion. I kick my leg towards the hand, holding my head tighter
Chapter 14: Monster Daniel Jones"Earth to Alpha..." Howard says, waving his hand to the side to get my attention. "I'm listening," I tell him through a rumble in my chest, but I don't look away. The one-way windows in the conference room give me the perfect view of her. Fuck, I shouldn't care about her. I should focus on what this asshole Howard has to say about the pack training grounds renovation. But I can't stop. I'm fascinated with the way her lips press against that blue coffee mug, bought from the boutique down the street. I know because it has our local brand on it for Clearwater. Her hands delicately enfolding the cup, and fuck if I don't think about those hands enfolding something else. Howard says something, and the other wolves nod and hum their agreement. Mitch elbows me, but I stay silent. I don't really give a shit about what they spend the money on, as long as they stay in budget. The moment four in the afternoon ticks by, everyone in the financial building clear
Chapter 12: The First Attack Clarissa Herrington I check the clock on my desk to find it sitting at ten in the morning. Ten in the morning, and I've already seen two people walking into the treeline. It's not that I've been staring out the window all day, but I couldn't help but notice, when I happened to be looking out there, that a man sprinted into it for seemingly no reason at all. The night had gone...strangely. While I have gotten accustomed to the nightmares, for some reason, they stopped last night. It wasn't pasta on the counter, and there was no Chris. It was like everything just disappeared. Leaving me peacefull for the first time since the attack. While I was drinking my coffee at my desk, I had shamelessly spaced out while looking out the window. Thinking about those oddly peaceful moments last night. That's when I seen the first man leave. Two hours later, another one. "Hey, is there something in the treeline?" I ask out loud. I jolt in my chair when Julie pops her
Chapter 12: Something Isn't RightDaniel JonesThree weeks and two days. That's how long she's been here. For three weeks and two days I've stared at her from the terrace of her room, watching as she sleeps unpleasantly. I've watched her run every single day, the same path each time through the woods around the property. I've seen what restaurants she's gone to, and which ones she likes enough to go back to again. Virginia practically has a fully time job in my bed now. She doesn't know why, and no matter how much she asks, I won't tell her. She can assume I suddenly fell in love with her for all I care. With breed-week coming up, she, and a few others, are going to have to keep my mind on track. "I was thinking of bringing over a toothbrush. Maybe some clothes..." she mumbles next to me, breathing heavily from our time together. "Not happening." She turns around on the bed with a pouting lower lip. I take it in my teeth and bite it until there's blood coating my tongue. "Why? I
Chapter 11: The WomanClarissa Herrington"Do you have any idea how much I gave up for you? What I've done for you?" Chris paces the floor in our apartment while I sit on the floor, cross-legged. "I understand that, but-" I whisper, but he doesn't give me the chance to speak. "And this is how you repay me? All I ask is for you to be fucking normal. Is that too much for your dumb-ass to figure out?" His voice rises as he paces in front of me, and I focus on his clicking shoes on the wood beneath them. "It was a mistake. I didn't think it would be this big of a deal-" "A mistake? Yeah, you make a lot of those. Don't you? Can't even have a business dinner right." He stops directly in front of me, hovering his face an inch from mine. "I'm sorry," I mumble, trying not to look at his eyes that have been bright with anger since we made it home an hour ago. "No, you're not sorry. If you were, you would have acted better." "That's not fair, Chris. I am sorry," I tell him quietly, wiping
Chapter 10: The smell of BloodDaniel JonesShe turns her head away from me, pinching her beautiful brown eyes closed. Her chin quivers, and a tear escapes from one eye. "Clarissa," I whisper, trying to get her attention. I pulled her away when I heard her heart rate spike. I didn't want anyone to see her vulnerable. She doesn't respond, and she tightens her hands against the wall she's backed into. "Clarissa, it's okay," I tell her quietly, breathing in her scent that's coated in fear. Her usual vanilla scent is masked with it. She lets out a sob, closing her mouth instantly, her whole body trembling with terror. Did I do this? "Clare." I move my hand up slowly to her face. The moment I gently lay my fingertips on her cheek, her body jolts. It hits me all at once. She expects to be hit. Her body is preparing for it. "Clare, I'm not going to hurt you." Those words seem to reach her, and she slowly breaks her eyes open. When she glances at me, she immediately uses both her hand
